    One of our favorite places to camp! We used to take a family trip for spring break back when it was first come first serve; no reservations, so that required driving all night from NC.

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  2 года назад +1

      Wow! That's a long way to drive down but well worth it! It must have been so nice back then to just show up and get a great spot. Its crazy how the campgrounds have become SO popular. Thanks so much for watching! 😊

      @@PSAdventures I know there’s a lot of planning and competition for the prime camp sites today, but we would reserve a backup camp site at the KOA in Ocala if we couldn’t get a site at Juniper Springs. Fortunately, we never had to rely on the backup. Juniper Springs is absolutely magical! The kayaking/canoeing is awesome! Did I mention there’s some great dirt biking across the highway from the park?😎

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  2 года назад +1

      That's awesome. I bet that area would be nice for dirt bikes and mountain bikes with all the trails around there. Very cool!

      So do we! We'd go back there any time. I think the canoeing situation changed with the shuttle that picked you up so hopefully it gets back to the way it was. It's a great place to camp and explore though with a nice natural rock pool! Thanks for watching!

      Adventurous Vegans honestly I felt pretty safe there. Concession area wasn’t open but walked around campsites didn’t seem to busy. Even in swimming area everyone was keeping their distance. I think I might go and camp there next weekend or the following. But if you beat me there. Check out campsite 74. That’s site I grew up on. Fern hammock loop

    No eel dinning? No French Cuisine in the camp grounds? 😢 Do these eels bite? Could make it a very bad day?

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  Год назад

      🤣 We definitely got a laugh out of this one! No, no French cuisine in the campground unfortunately. Only a small store with a little less food than you'd find in a gas station. I bet if you bothered the eels they probably would bite! That wouldn't be fun!

    This is the same place you did that scary kayaking trip! I would definitely do the camping and the jumping in the hot spring but those alligators scare me too much! All of my kayaking has been in open rivers!

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  4 года назад

      Yes! Juniper Springs is great for both. Technically the water is about 72 degrees year round so I wouldn't consider it "hot" but it's very nice. Kayaking in open waters is so tiring! And in Florida it ends up being very hot too. In the fall and winter this place is great for tent camping though!

    I noticed on the Juniper Springs website it said kayak and Conor rentals are not available while the park was transitioning vendors. Did you notice anything like that? BYW love the videos. Wife and just returned from the Keys. Appreciate all the advice on your videos.

      Thank you so much for joining us on our adventures! That was our understanding too about the rentals bring temporarily closed, but I believe their managent transition is complete. It also doesn't prevent you from bringing your own vessel to launch. :) Happy exploring!

    Can you by chance tell me how wheelchair accessible the trails are and around the swimming area? Thank you!

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  2 года назад

      Definitely Jayson! Around the swimming area, the entire surrounding area is paved with sidewalks but there are a few parts that have steps. I think there's a ramp on either side that leads down to the water without steps, but you might have to call the park to to confirm that. A lot of the area though does have sidewalks that don't have steps and is wheelchair accessible. It's a beautiful place to take a stroll and enjoy!

    Hello...can you share link for the pot and steam rack that you use to make muffins please

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  3 года назад

      Thanks for the question Sasha! Here's the pot and bowl that we use:
      900 ml Pot: amzn.to/3tOjHwW
      Squishy bowls: amzn.to/3r8M7jC
      For the wire rack, I actually bought a cheap $1 cooling rack from the Dollar Store and trimmed and bent it up with some pliers so it was homemade. You might be able to find a silicone version or trim one up. You can also use rocks around the area to keep it off the bottom. Good luck!

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  Год назад +1

      It's hard to go wrong with almost any of them at Juniper Springs. We've been to several of them. Sometimes we try to avoid being too close to the bathrooms since they can be loud at night. It's a cool place to camp! Let us know if you find a favorite site!

    Which is maximum size of the tent I can use in this camp

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  3 года назад

      Hi! I'm not sure if there's actually a maximum on tent sizes. Usually there's a 2 tent maximum per site, but the sites at Juniper are pretty large so there's lots of room. :)

    Are dogs allowed?

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  3 года назад

      Thanks for the question! Dogs aren't allowed in the day-use areas except for service dogs. From what I read, it looks like you're allowed to have leashed dogs in your campground if you're camping but they aren't allowed to leave the campground. Hope that helps!
