Great review. Beats hauling pipe around or using a hacksaw. Adding the tube reamer shows they have thought this through and worked closely with electricians In development.
I was researching on getting a bandsaw since I occasionally cut 1/2" and 3/4" EMT and sometimes the 2" PVC pipe. I was considering going with the compact M18 version but now seeing the M12 version of this I will go with that, since I already have other M12 tools and the battery. Only thing that kinda sucks is that the reamer attachment isn't available anywhere right now as none of the vendors have it in stock. I feel the M12 Fuel version can do just as good as the M18 cousins, other than the really heavy duty stuff that require more power.
@Sparky Channel. Thanks Bill for another great review and comparison between the Milwaukee M12 and M18 FUEL bandsaws. It's great that Milwaukee also included the ability to attach their optional reamer attachment to their new M12 FUEL bandsaw like with their M18 FUEL bandsaw. The M12 is a great saw for electricians When the reamer came off the new M12 bandsaw at @4:21 was it because you didn't have the reamer attachment fully seated on the tool? Hope you and your family stay safe and well.
I believe that I had the reamer attached well. That could be a bad situation if working at height. It doesn't come off of the M18. I'll have to check into that. I didn't notice that it came off, thanks for pointing that out. It's an important point. You guy stay safe as well!
Hey Bill, been waiting for this tool. Gonna be great addition to my toolbox, when can get one😉 Also, have u seen the new Klein conduit benders? They have that new angle setter (model 51606). Know off topic, but would like to see ya review it, if possible, and see what ya think. Thx for this vid, glad to see a new “bigger” m12 bandsaw👍🏻 Cheers✌🏻
just need to consider how much your productivity is worth. If it can finish you an extra small conduit job in a week it's already paid for itself. simply additional profit after that. Or just use it to cut service conductors that you'd normally use your comparably priced ratcheting cutters for.
Just got mine today, buy more save more at the home depot. Buy this, the Gen 3 m12 kit with a 2.0 and 4.0 you get a 5.0 for free. All for a little over $400.
Hi Bill from Sparky channel Oh great, I don’t have either of those tools now I have to go out and buy both of them, LOL Even though not a 2020 code video still a great video Thanks
I definitely want some 18 TPI blades for this band saw. The 12/14 TPI blade that comes with it worked quite well but an 18 TPI has a smoother and faster start when cutting EMT.
If part of your job is supplying the company with tools then I can see this being a problem. Otherwise you wouldn't need to sacrifice your own productivity for those who won't buy their own gear
Milwaukee is putting some amazing tools in their M12 line. Great deonstration Sparky.
Yes, this one is quite amazing. Thanks Gary!
IMO It would benefit your viewers if you did a video series about service entrances. Especially from you because of how you do it yourself!
Good idea, thanks!
Impressive , I use the old M12 bandsaw 90% of the time , that beast is a big step up !
I agree, thanks Chris!
ty, for putting them side-by-side
Yes, the M18 is quite a bit bigger, isn't it?
Great review. Beats hauling pipe around or using a hacksaw. Adding the tube reamer shows they have thought this through and worked closely with electricians In development.
I think you are correct. Thanks Mark!
I’ve recently gone on an m12 buying spree and this could very well be my next purchase 😂✌️
Thanks for the review!!! :)
It would be a good choice. Thanks Ben!
Beats the heck out of a hand pipe cutter. That is very nice.
Yes, it sure does!
Would like to see a run time comparison of these tools
That saw looks amazing. I've got the subcompact but maybe it's time for an upgrade.
Yes, it's very nice!
another great video bill love your chanel
Thanks Chris!

I agree with you. As you saw in the video, I own both. But I use the M12 90% of the time.
That reamer still doesn't seem to be available. I wonder if they quit making it.
I have it and its incredible well worth it
@@rcud1 it's still available. lol, I'm currently waiting on the saw and the reamer has already shown up.

Good tools.
Thank you.
P.s. If they built with a level then it will be the perfect tool.
Thanks Tommy!

Hi! Yes, this one is really nice! No, I haven't seen the new conduit benders. I'll have to check them out. Thanks!
Awesome saw been using it for about a year we got it early for demo from Milwaukee lot faster than the older m-12 band saw
Wow, that's great!
This tool has some nice features the other m12 doesn't.
Mostly the bigger opening.
I love my m12, but it has size limits.
I agree, thanks!
Another great video Sparky!!
Thanks so much Steve!
It’s been over a year, how do you feel about the. M12 fuel bandsaw vs the M18 compact bandsaw? Is the M12 still a go to?
Must still be a popular tool with how much it costs.
Good point.

Get ya a can of Alumtap. One drop it will cut a lot faster.
So far the best tool m12 i own..cutting like a cheese...
Yes, it's amazing!

Hi Jeff! I have to say, this is a really nice one. Thanks and take care!
Blades are hard to come by, only milwaukee stocks them, & HD doesn't, have too order on-line.
Your electrical supply house should carry them most around here do
I definitely want some 18 TPI blades for this band saw. The 12/14 TPI blade that comes with it worked quite well but an 18 TPI has a smoother and faster start when cutting EMT.
Home Depot has some on the app rn brother
did i miss the unistrut cutting?
See 5:30 I used the Superstrut brand.
I heard the blades don't last long?.
Awesome more cutting area and reamer
Thanks Leroy!
Thanks for the video
My pleasure Charles!
That's nice Bill
Thanks Ted!
PS , I love the reamer ! Big time saver !
Yes, it's nice!
@@SparkyChannel High praise comming from a DeWalt fan !
@@chrisfyfe9212 LOL! Hi Chris!
Hi Bill I got this tool and I like 👍 the one thing is that some times the blade comes out of the guides do you know what can I do to fix this
Do you think this would work good for cutting 60K rebar?
No, my 1st choice would be a rebar cutter, 2nd choice a grinder with a metal cutting blade, 3rd choice an older skilsaw with a metal cutting blade.
very nice and handy
Thanks Ruben!
@@SparkyChannel yes sir
Like Budda........👍💯
Thanks!
it's so cute and little...
LOL! Yep.
why don't jyou ust take an angle grinder to cut these metalic pipes ???
because it's a very inefficient way to cut metal. it's noisy, messy, throws sparks, and grinder discs wear out a lot faster than saw blades.
@@kenbrown2808also harder to keep straight n pretty, also do one handed, or without another person or vise
Ken and Leroy make great points.
If you buy a saw like that and take it on the jobsite everyone on the job will want to use it and it wont last long.
All you have to say is no to them
If part of your job is supplying the company with tools then I can see this being a problem. Otherwise you wouldn't need to sacrifice your own productivity for those who won't buy their own gear
I like the m18 better. It's not that heavy I'm 5'6".
The M18 does have a 3 1/4" mouth. Thanks!
Не давайте ему инструмент
