Right On!!! I just bought the USD Sway 57. I haven’t skated since I was 13. I am 36 now. Used to ride the K2 250cc. They were super comfortable. I am super stoked to start up again.
Just got my pair not too long ago from roller warehouse and the soul plate on mine actually cane with Hardware which gave me one less step to take when installing the gen 2 soul plate.
I was thinking about adding a cuff to heal bands to create some more resistance towards forward flex. kinda like som ski boots but using rubber bands instead of clamp downs. with rubber bands you can adjust the hold down resistance force.
I just got some of the farmer versions last night! Unfortunately I think they might be a bit small for me. I've never had a size 10.5 be too small for me, but man my feet feel just crushed in there. I guess I have to go up a shell size but then I worry it'll be too big... ah well I guess I'll find out.
Corgibuttz Gaming try a thinner liner if you have one available. The crown liner is high volume and may be the reason they feel small. The shell may actually be the correct size for you.
@@coreyenglish8706 I took your advice and just wore the boots around my house for about 4 hours when I was work from home the other day. I also went to town really messing w/ the laces and straps to find proper settings. They feel pretty good now and I'm going to give them a shot! I got the new purple farmer wheels and mounted them in an old black mook frame I had kicking around. Pretty excited.
Amazing.love all your vids.i has those same sways.i wear size us 9.5 sometimes us10 shoes.i got the sways us 10 liner was perfect but the Shell was huge seems like a size 12 Shell for real .i sold them.they feel way too big.i really Wanna try them again.do your think Will i Fit the sways size 9 liner/Shell? Thanks a Lot Corey.
Cheers for sharing the vids mate. Was looking at getting these. But ended up going for a used set of USD thrones with pads only as they were half the price of the new ones. problem is they are a size up from my size so im hoping they will work with extra socks. If not, ill just go with these skates.
Great video! I’m back after 23 years; my new ones has a sway 57 and I’m working in the basics; my new wheels are on the way , you have suggestions for a new liner?
Depends on what your needs/budget are and what can find these days. Unfortunately shops are running pretty low on stock. If the shells fit well already, the reign v3 is a great bang for your buck liner that will improve any skate. My fit recall liners are fairly similar and comfortable as well. If you have extra space in the shell, look at something like the my fit crown liners. They are high volume and will help fill the shell out. Thanks for the support!
Thanks for the in depth review. I’m 32 and just starting back after a long hiatus. I still have my Latimer Psirus skates, but both straps broke today. I’ve been looking at these and the Aeon. I’m planning on doing tricks and minor commuting, like 1/2 mile tops. Also, would like easy royales. Which model would you recommend if the two? Thanks!
Down-on-Luck 59 hard to say. I would definitely stay away from anti rocker if you want to do any commuting, but it certainly makes grinding easier. If you go with aeons I would recommend changing the stock wheels out for something with a round or bullet profile. The round profile will help fight wheel bite. Of course, Rec skates are better suited for distance skating, so if you can afford two set ups I would recommend going the one tool, one job route. If not, the 60mm aeons are a solid skate. Hard to go wrong with them. The sways do have more room in the toe box though.
you prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a way to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Merrick Roman I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Jonathan Hand Yes. I’m a US 9.5 (26.8cm) as well and the 8-9 shell fits me perfectly. I do run a thinner liner than stock though. With the stock liner or a crown liner I wouldn’t be able to fit the same shell. Any lower volume liner should open up enough room.
What's up man!!?? I really liked your videos. You're very good blader. Can you help me with a doubt?? I'm interested to buy a USD sway 57 team 4 ultra white. It is a cheap skate and also very good. I have seen this on several videos on RUclips like yours. But with a little bit of more money I can get the Roces M12 Lo tides (green one). What do you think about it?? Wich one do you prefer? Do you think the Roces is worth it??
Thanks for the support. This is a tough one to answer. The m12 is probably my favorite skate, and I would still be riding them, but I’m between sizes. That being said, I’ve been very happy with the Sway. It also fits a bit wider than the m12 which is better for anyone with a wider foot. For me, most of it comes down to fit. Whatever fits your foot better will likely be the better choice. The other thing for me is response. The m12 felt more nimble and responsive than the sways do to me. So if they fit, and if it fits you budget, I think I would pick m12s over the sway personally.
Only thing I disagree is with the "make your own groove" thing. It will happen naturally. Back in the day, you would do that because the skates had no groove at all, on the frames or on the soul plates. There was no backslide plate sometimes, and people would do royales more on the front or towards the heell of the boot and hence the "make your own groove" trend. Nowadays it doesn´t make much sense, The frame grooves and soul plate backslide grooves are huge and on 98% of the skates they are in the right place and just lock on for days. I just skated these new Shadow skates with brand new soulplates and Ground Control frames, on PVC pipes that slide like crazy and they locked on perfect on every groove trick. Felt the frame groove was a little taller than usual, but not enough to make me miss any trick. Anyways, still a good thing if you really need your groove your own way, I just feel it´s not necessary anymore, at least not for me. That off course, is just my personal opinnion. Anyways, great content! Love to have discovered your channel! Keep up the good work!
I agree that modern skates have decent groove out of the box, but having a well broken in groove will always help lock in tricks better. I skate mostly park so waiting for it to happen naturally would take longer than I have the patience for. Thanks for all the support man. I appreciate the feedback. Glad you’re enjoying the videos.
@@coreyenglish8706 Loving them for real! You´re saying things that just need to be said. Love the review on the intuition, makes perfect sense to me now why they´re so expensive and how it would feel if I got one. Cheers Corey, thanks for what you´re doing for blading!
I agree. Start on 8 wheels, learn to play hockey. And learn grinds on 8 wheels by doing lots of stalls, because you want to build up those ankles and calf muscles .💪😀🤘🦶🦵

I had a lot of friends with 250s. I could never get used to soft boot. How do you like the Sways at this point in time? I just ordered some myself 😊
Great video. Thanks man. I’m looking at getting a black pair of these
That skatepark is a blast. Lucky to have new parks popping up in the Pittsburgh area!

Love my sway xxi. Stock liner is good after adding lace holes.
Awesome to hear. I’ve been impressed with stock usd liners in the past. Unfortunately I’m between sizes in the sway with the stock liners though.
How this dude gonna review a skate but have different liners, wheels and frames? Like dude review the stock skate damn
Great viddy and skating! Keep em comin!
Thirty and Rollin thanks man. Big fan of your channel.
That park looks like a dope little skatepark!
It’s definitely a fun one. Favorite locally for sure.
yeah i have no clue why those skates have so many rivets. did usd think this is the one skate we wouldn't want to customize?

I dont know why they would rivet the soul plates. I have been skating the sway team III and its screws
I was surprised to find that it was the case.
I have this skates and the soulplates have screws, no rivets

Dude. Love these vids. How do you get so much air time for the 3 and 5 when you aren't going that fast?
Thanks dude! Appreciate the kind words. That kicker is deceivingly steep. Sends you straight up.
*me wishing i had enough money to buy those*
My soul plate is hardware not rivet
Can you teach that handplant you did? No lessons at all on RUclips!
I’ve got a few already in the works, but I’ll definitely consider doing a video on it.
lol.... unboxing and testing of a skate that's not original frame/wheels/inner. Not particularly helpful
