Any tips on removing or preferably hiding the white bars on top of the popped out displays? Flying the FBW320 and using a vertical tilted screen for ECAM, but I get that ugly white line on the top.
Sorry for the late reply. At 14:26 I show a panel of extra settings. One is "hide title bar". If you are using Air Manager, you can also tuck the white bar under an Air Manager bezel if you are using one.
I need help. I clicked start the application in minimized mode in system tray. I did this after only setting up my PFD. Now I want to set up my MFD but the program is locked in the system tray and I can't get back to the screen where you target more screens. Is there a shortcut key to get you back to the settings menu so I can uncheck that preference. I can't find it in the documentation.
Did you recently add an extra monitor to accommodate the MFD? Sometimes that throws the program off and your app is showing up in space that doesn't exist. (Maybe). Try unplugging the last monitor or try different combinations of monitors. If all else fails, then uninstall and start over.
Yes. The cursor will change when you mouse over the display and press the right alt key. Clicking then pops it out. If the mouse doesn't change there is a chance that the particlary display doesn't pop out.
@IvanSkyFlight is there a way to make those non digital panels to popout some how? like i want to fly a cessna 188 or some airplanes have analog instruments. thx
@@albertgutiguti9563 No way to pop them out as far as I know. Many people, including me, use a program called Air Manager that has some of the analog instruments that you can put on a separate monitor/screen and setup a cockpit.
Hi, I'm hoping you can answer a question for me. I plan to build a home cockpit so using the pop-outs is my first stop. I come from a lot of experience with Prepar3D where this was very easy and you can resize / stretch gauges in height and width as desired just with your mouse alone. Are the pop outs in MSFS always a fixed immovable size and aspect ratio? I need to know before buying some displays. So can you resize them to any size with the mouse too and or if clicking and dragging a pop-out is the aspect ratio always locked? Or do you always have to use some program like this instead? (it seems very clunky and time consuming) Lastly, do you have any idea if they have expanded on this feature for the upcoming MSFS2024?
In the current version of MSFS when your resize the pop outs, the actual image doesn't change ratios it just changes size. What does happen (and can be frustrating) is that depending on proportions, when you enlarge or shrink, you will add black bars to the top or bottom of the image. You can dial it in, but it can be cumbersome. In terms of additional monitors, mine are all 1080p and keep things constant easier to dial in. Having said that, you can use any ratio display you just have to set the display settings correctly in Windows. I do not know how this will change, if at all, in MSFS 2024. Let me know if I didn't fully answer your question. I do have several videos up on external display setup.

So I should make sure to get screens that match the same Garmin set I want to use the most otherwise, what you are saying is you will have deaspace on the sides. That's unfortunate but I do get why as you don't want a circular heading dial to appear stretched or oval. And I know the G1000 screens are 4:3 ratio, but I think the G3000 series may be a little different. It's actually been hard to track down the exact information for all their screen sizes, even on Garmin's website.
@@oldowl4290 I really don't worry about the display aspect ratio as the Air Manager bezels are the correct aspect ratio Garmin stuff. I do worry about the overall size of the screen. 15 inch or better is advisable.
Used this on the PMDG 737 and it worked. I set the boundaries in the second screen and then to test it closed the popouts from the app, restarted the popouts and the screen went back to default boundaries although the values looked like they didn't change. Any thoughts here?
Hey Ivan, can you try to get this to work on the NX Cub. I am pulling my hair out with numerous attempts with different cockpit or instrument views to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Two questions: First, is there more than one version of the NX Cub? I see a Got Friends version on the Marketplace. Is that the one you use? Second, without running POPM are you able to manually pop out the display using the right ALT and mouse click?
@@IvanSkyFlight Thank you for the response. 1) I am using the NX Cub that came with the simulator full version or at least I think so. I have a lot of stuff from the Marketplace but I don't recall purchasing that one from there or any other external site. TBH I didn't know that the marketplace had the NX Cub. 2) Yes, I can manually pop out the GPS display on the NX Cub and many other aircraft I currently have. I have tried numerous attempts on several aircraft and I can pop them all out but I get failure on every screen on any plane. This made me think there there is another common denominator maybe in the setup of the software, etc. I went through all that and I cannot really see anting glaring at me that would possibly solve my issue. I guess my concern is that the program doesn't work on any plane, which IMO is beyond the scope of your video or comments replies. I downloaded the latest version while watching your video and followed your process verbatim and I still get failed on every screen be it a single or multiple screens in a profile like you showed. I've watched the dev's videos and less the irritating non-verbal instructions, everything was pretty much covered in what I saw in your video. One thing I noticed is that for some reason every attempt to identify a view it seems to zoom the focus on the instrument or pilot's view. Unable to prevent that I tried reducing the size of the popoout all the way down to 50 x 50 to no avail. Frustrated I gave up late last night. Most of this I think comes from the fact that your video is very informative, simple and easy to follow. Grrr Great video BTW. I don't think so. You are the second person to ask me this. I was not aware that DX12 doesn't play nice with some when pop outs are involved. I myself use DX12 and have no issues. I do see it's a commonly reported problem, but I was not able to find a solution.
Been using this for a while. Some type of odd behavior with Fenix a320. It randomly pops out the EFB instead of the Lower ECAM. I have the pop out set to lower ecam, but for some reason it gets the efb. Its very random

However, to get full touchscreen that replicates some of the avionics (the on display buttons and not the bezel buttons), I believe you need Pop Out Panel Manager. Hey, at the Fenix the screens fit the display, nur with FBW or FSLabs they are Pop out the same way but there is a border on left and right so that the content I want to see is not full in the poped out window. Anyone have a idea how to fix this?
Are you saying that your pop outs have black borders either on the side or top? You have to make real small adjustments by click/dragging the edge towards the center of the pop out. Real small movements. Once the sidebars are gone, click drag the whole pop out and put it in the top right corner of the bezel. Then grab the bottom left corner of the pop out and take it to the bottom left corner of the bezel to line it up.
Thanks for this video. I am having difficulty getting the in-game menu bar panels working. I am trying to get the in-game checklist panel to pop out and appear on my iPad (I'm using spacedesk) with touch enabled. I cannot figure out how to set this up to work automatically in POPM. I can manually open the checklist and drag it to the iPad but the checklist items do not respond to touch input, only mouse input. Can you help? Thanks!
Anyone have a double touch problem ? I have the GTN 750 from real sim gear and when in punch in as an example KMEM it double to KKMMEEMM I can’t seem to fix.I installed the latest pop up manger last night and says it fixed but no luck
Man I'm getting so frustrated. I've got everything installed, I've got the air manager GTN and 430 on my tablet, but I can't for the life of me get the native GTN and 430 from the black square Bonanza to sink behind the air manager templates. Do we still need pop out manager?
How are you using the tablet and Air Manager? Are you using the tablet as an extra monitor using third party software, or are you using the actual Air Manager tablet app?
Not sure what you are asking. Are you using some app to extend the desktop to your iPad, and if so does the bezel and display pop out to the iPad? At that point are you saying that the touch functionality of the 750 is not working? If that is right, then, yes, POPM should help. There is a parameter to activate touch functionality for the garmin screens. Let me know if that doesn't answer your question.

I am not sure. I don't own any PMDG stuff. I don't think there is an Asobo 737. Does it work on other aircraft for you? Which 737 do you have?

I've just done a flight in 24 and seen no fps drops.
I have not experienced any FPS drop with Pop Out Panel Manager, but I have had some FPS drop with Air Manager.
