Big fan of Ornot for past 6 years! Love minimal branding, made with ethics, mostly locally based and works/looks/fit great. I have 4 shorts, 4 tops, 3 cycling sweaters/hoodies, 1 burrito bar bag, 2 saddle bags, 2 base layers. I’ve sold most of my kits and apparel from other brands, and soon will be Ornot, 100%, or not
Matt is THAT!! Uber cool, well-meaning, invested crew and brand worth looking at. Love that they use unwanted fabrics. Thanks for bringing ornot to my attention.
Glad you did a feature on these guys. I've been to their shop a few times and they are just a great group and the fact that they make their products in the USA is really heartening.
I love that my man basically started an entire clothing brand because he got tired of clients asking for garish revisions. 😂I can relate. In all seriousness, it's nice to see a company that is so clearly driven by an ethical ideal. This video make be finally pull the trigger on an item that was sitting in my cart for a day or two..
Love small companies like this. Doing things in house, taking care of small details and making the products _you_ want as a rider is what counts for me. Oh, and that bib fold is genius.
I love love love Ornot. Great stuff, and honestly great people in-shop whenever I pop in! Most of my cycling (and casual cycling) gear is Ornot these days.
I have been eyeing up their bar bag for a while now, and now I want some kit! Sounds like an absolutely fantastic company, thanks for bringing awareness. The Ornot marketing is superb.
Ornot clothes are great both on or off the bike! I wear there pants and shorts almost exclusively these days. They look nice while being comfy and I can move freely in them. They pretty much do it all
The chamois in their bibs didn't work for me but I love the micro climate vest, merino wool gloves, socks, bar bag and the jerseys I have from them though.
I have a SCOR 4060 and it has no branding on the frame, except a discrete badge on the back of the seat tube. You would think a new company would push the branding as hard as possible. I realized that it makes everyone I ride with have to ask about it, and then of course I tell them the brand story and how rad the bike is. Pretty clever.
I have admired this company and in part because of its unique mellow design and cool material. I haven’t been able to buy anything from them because I just don’t like to buy clothes unnecessarily.
Nice video Dustin. Cool to see. It’s what I like about most of Q36.5’s range, minimal branding but still recognizable design language. They also do local production for most stuff in Italy. Isadore, another European brand that has a high focus on sustainability also does local production and limited edition off cuts. These factors greatly influence my buying decision of cycling clothes. Obviously durability and fit also matter lots.
rapha mappa are already very minimal with their logos, like one little print of text isn’t acceptable? i saw a few ornot products and they’re no better. i don’t know what issue is this company trying to solve design wise still cool and cool rides though
Nike did the same when they started golf apparel. Small logo made people curious on what u were wearing. And I love Ornot vids. Just no one in Malaysia imports it. Maybe I should contact Ornot and see what we can do.
LOVE OrNot. Thank you so much for this!! I bought a Plum House Bar Bag from Western Bikeworks when they still had a location in NW PDX. I fell absolutely in love with it. I really just wanted a bar bag that fit on my size 38 bar. Having Chorus 11 makes that extra tricky. But it was so gorgeous. Everything of theirs I own just fits beautifully.
The thing i hate most about most road cycling clothes is all the logos/graphics/branding. I'm not sponsored, so i dont need to look like it. Definitely going to check out Ornot's lineup.
Or Not is fantastic, highly recommend. Great quality, actually have stuff for tall women? Amazing. I've been begging them to take my money for more off road / MTB stuff.
I love this - the apparel industry is terrible for the environment and unjust for a lot of workers in the supply chain, particularly in developing countries. Great to see an alternative. No logos YES PLEASE. Fingers crossed I can locate this brand in Australia
I love the hipster era of bikes. Without a doubt a logo that I know nothing about or is some small time shop is much “cooler” than a large rapha stamp.
You're back in SF, nice! Ornot is in my neighborhood (Inner Richmond). Love their Ecopak bar bag and the mission shorts. Have a couple of each. Great quality and the design is well thought out. I did one of their Tuesday morning rides, and have to say the vibe was somewhat douchey and unwelcoming/cliquey (maybe I'm too old and not cool enough? I've been riding bikes for 50+ years (I'm 57) and I ride 8-10k miles a year). The community and environmental focus portrayed here seems a little contrived and not really reflective of my limited experience with them (e.g. the aforementioned group ride vibe and also they seem okay with leading group rides on local hiking / cycling trails after a big rain and doing significant long term damage to the trails). Anyway, I still buy Ornot stuff as it is well made and I want to support a local company.
I'm def planning on getting a few pieces from these guys. When I'm sat on the floor surrounded by all the kit I've just removed after a ride I feel like I'm being attacked by scorpions, especially in the winter.
Love. Love. Love this video. Awesome brand. Great ethos. Really dig the dead stock concept. Definitely makes me keen to buy something one off and sustainable.
Dumpster diving to obtain the fabric for new premium line of cycling clothing would be the next step that i have in mind. I bet Castellis and Raphas will go bankrupt after this.
I want to love Ornot more than I currently do. Their designs are great, their attempted ethics come from the right place, and the fact they make things in the country they are in vs. some repressive regime overseas. (The bags are awesome, BTW.) But... the issue is that even though they are using overage and dead stock for their gear, its still plastic. Plastic clothes are just the worst for the environment.
@@philipk4475 Cima Coppi is one brand that use plant based polys, De Marchi Heritage has 100% wool ones. They pads use foam (plastic), that is WAY less than whole thing. I'm sure if I did more searching I would find others. It would be more environmentally positive to buy a new Cima Coppi or De Marchi item (with all the initial impacts, including shipping) than walking into the Ornot store and buying a similar item.
I have their small monsters jersey (2021). I love their fearless use of color in a sea of ALMOST but not _quite_ colorful, so I dont quite stand out... cycling gear out there.
This is the same reason I opted for a custom steel framed road bike. Too many bikes with their name splattered on damn near every tube and stay. I'm looking at you especially Cannondale and Specialized.
It's nice to keep things clean. It's however double sided. Brand recognition is important in order to spread awareness. If this company wants to remain small and boutique than this is great. If they want to scale up or if they are ever sold to a bigger company then brand recognition will have to be "increased" eventually
If you go to spain a video on cima coppi would be awesome. They are doing the most they can to be petrol free. They make clothes with merino and plant based polyamide. I never heard about ornot. I am sure gonna check them out if i need more cycling clothes.
Excellent. Always very happy to find a brand of anything that is not part of a Global Corporation….Seems to be a trend, whenever a product is first produced, quality and excellence. Once taken over by a Global Corporation (profit over people) then ……
Would love to support the gear, but it's the same pricing as Rapha. I'm broke and love bikes but I can't afford to spend $162 for a jersey or $130 for shorts.
I got their Magic shell jacket, just in time for it to stop raining. Hoping for a few more rainy days in June to put it through its paces. They asked how I'd heard about them, I said from YOU 👀
Hard to find casual gravel cycling clothing hear in the Uk it’s either roadie Lycra or baggy MTB. I wear a combination of both but really would like a more fitted cycling shorts and baggier cycling jersey not MTB 😩
That's the type of company I'd love to work for! I'll definitely add them to my livery. Cool stuff! I don't really care so much about logos but I agree they're often too miuch. I care most about fit and then color. fwiw There are several brands with minimal branding going on. Assos started their black line so WT riders wouldn't violate their contracts wearing it on training rides. Velocio also has small logos. NTL it's nice to see it catching on with a more colorful design firm.
What Brand should we profile next?
Ostroy. La Passione. Pas Normal.
All interesting brands.
SWRVE
Stinner!
Attacus in the UK. Cade Media. I think this would be a good mix and match of philosophies and continents plus economies.
7Mesh!

The Ornot products are second to none but the people behind the brand are what makes it so special.
I haven’t heard of none but ima have to check it out if ornot is second to them.
Wow, this was a fantastic video. I had not heard of Ornot, and it was great to see the people, philosophy, and more behind the company. Well done, DK!
Appreciate you Paul!
I did not know about them either until I saw DK wearing one of their items. Bought a few things off them now. Awesome stuff
You had me at no logo.
...and they lost me at "we are a luxury brand". Nothing wrong with it, just not for me.
Matt is THAT!! Uber cool, well-meaning, invested crew and brand worth looking at. Love that they use unwanted fabrics. Thanks for bringing ornot to my attention.
Can’t wait for the Ornot DKLEIN collection‼️👌
Glad you did a feature on these guys. I've been to their shop a few times and they are just a great group and the fact that they make their products in the USA is really heartening.

Oh, and that bib fold is genius.
Feeling like this should be listed as a sponsored post.
Definitely an ad , even if money was not exchanged
I wish Ornot was easily available in Europe. European warehouse, when?
Agree. Shipping was the only thing that stopped my buying a vest recently
Same here. It’s hard to get them in Germany.
@@ichwilleswissen1376 Dann lass mal schauen - was direkt in Schland gemacht wird? :)
Same here! I switched to Cafe du Cycliste quite a while ago but Ornot seems to be very nice as well!
Same here. Günstiges shipping direkt aus der EU für Germany wäre mega
I love love love Ornot. Great stuff, and honestly great people in-shop whenever I pop in! Most of my cycling (and casual cycling) gear is Ornot these days.
Great to see. Small business, in tune and available to the customer, not a faceLess corporate giant.
This guy is doing what no capitalist wants to
Give the customer discount for advertising your brand ❤
oh stop with your bullshit. Move to cuba.
I have been eyeing up their bar bag for a while now, and now I want some kit! Sounds like an absolutely fantastic company, thanks for bringing awareness. The Ornot marketing is superb.
That folding bib tip is a life changing hack
Agreed - never knew til this! 😮
Really? I have never needed or wanted to fold bibs. Nice clothing though...
In Australia 🇦🇺 but on their website now. I will be making said discretionary purchases imminently. Cool products.
Good job Ornot.
I’m lucky, I live in San Francisco and get to hit their shop often. Matt is a splendid guy to talk to.
I love the line at 1:45 as it is all of what Ornot branding is. I see a jersey with nice colors, no logo - Ornot.
I have a few Speedvagens but the silent one seems to get the most attention and questions
If a brand is stitched in, or a patch, I always remove it. I'm definitely going to check these guys out!
I like Ornot gear, I have the saddle bag and matching mini bar bag, they need more distributors in Europe and the UK though
WOW! Very exciting, I will definitely have to check them out, thanks for sharing!
I have admired this company and in part because of its unique mellow design and cool material. I haven’t been able to buy anything from them because I just don’t like to buy clothes unnecessarily.

You’re absolutely brilliant at this type of content mate. Great video.
ORNOT D KLEIN Collaboration, make it so!
Love ornot! Their cargo bib and jersey are my favorite. Super fortunate to live in SF and have access to the store.
rapha mappa are already very minimal with their logos, like one little print of text isn’t acceptable? i saw a few ornot products and they’re no better. i don’t know what issue is this company trying to solve
design wise still cool and cool rides though
Oh yeah!!! I love ORNOT. In fact, I bought my first pair of bibs after hearing you mention them on this very channel a few years ago.
This makes my day!
I’m going to the city this summer. Wife and kids can do the touristy stuff. I’m going to the ornot store.
Nike did the same when they started golf apparel. Small logo made people curious on what u were wearing. And I love Ornot vids. Just no one in Malaysia imports it. Maybe I should contact Ornot and see what we can do.

My wife always has trouble finding gear she likes specifically for the logo issue. I know what she is getting for her birthday now!
Now I wish I was your wife. 😉
Checked them out - they look like they make some good stuff. Unfortunately, no bike shorts and no clothing options for us bigger guys.
The thing i hate most about most road cycling clothes is all the logos/graphics/branding. I'm not sponsored, so i dont need to look like it. Definitely going to check out Ornot's lineup.
I’ve seen a lot of their ads on insta but didn’t know the story. Really cool brand that I’m definitely trying out now.
Ornot makes great stuff. I appreciate the lack of logos, the quality of their clothing and be conscious of materials.
Or Not is fantastic, highly recommend. Great quality, actually have stuff for tall women? Amazing. I've been begging them to take my money for more off road / MTB stuff.

Massive props to Ornot
Awesome clothes!!!!!! Love the minimal logo presence!
I've got a few things from Ornot. Their stuff is awesome quality and a pleasure to own.
Speaking of Donuts ... ORNOT has the right idea as there are a variety of cycling events known of Donut Rides/Races! Ohio even has the Tour de Donut.
I'm def planning on getting a few pieces from these guys. When I'm sat on the floor surrounded by all the kit I've just removed after a ride I feel like I'm being attacked by scorpions, especially in the winter.
Perfect timing, as I’m going to SF for work next week!! I’m goign to stop in :D
Love all the companies values. Looks fun to work there! Great clothing
One of if not THE best cycling apparel brand, hands down! Much better than the pink elephant!
Agreed!
Love this brand and what they stand for! Great video! Ordering kit from them now.
Glad you like them!
Love. Love. Love this video. Awesome brand. Great ethos. Really dig the dead stock concept. Definitely makes me keen to buy something one off and sustainable.

I love their style that in itself is the logo
What a great team - ethical slow cycling fashion from some lovely people

Gotta support these guys & gals .

So cool! Would love to see more brand profiles
Who would you like to see profiled?
Wow this is so cool!!
I hope they ship to the uk ❤
Me too! 😅
I like the look of Rapha’s gear more, but I really dig Ornot’s energy.
Much love for Ornot!!
Ornot is my fav cycling apparel brand. Greay vid!
I wish they were still available in Australia. I guess I'll have to buy some when I visit San Francisco my Home town. Thanks for the Video.
Love the brand, its bags, ethos and vibe (thanx to Patrick Thames, a head nod to him). Great vid Dustin!
Never heard of Ornot, but about to go look em up. Love their ethos man. Great vid 👍
I wasn't aware of the brand (I'm in NZ). Will absolutely be sampling the wares.
I’m sure you won’t into anyone else on a group ride with the same gear!
Thank you for this video and what you do!
Love this company! When I’m wearing their apparel, I’m ready whether I go for a ride Ornot. 😉
Great attitude, my kind of brand.
The sock type of bib wrapping alone justifies the video. 👍
Would love to support the gear, but it's the same pricing as Rapha. I'm broke and love bikes but I can't afford to spend $162 for a jersey or $130 for shorts.
Lol it's a dressed up ad! Decathlon, cheap as chips! Also fine to wear, performance is great.
awesome vid, didn't know of ornot. Will definetly check them out!

I am loving the Jack of all, Master of None, Better Than Master of One, Beautiful piece of sneaky comedy there!!!
That Stinner is gorgeous
They make amazing bikes.
Just need to figure out where I can buy their stuff in Canada. Love the ethos of this company.😊
Hard to find casual gravel cycling clothing hear in the Uk it’s either roadie Lycra or baggy MTB. I wear a combination of both but really would like a more fitted cycling shorts and baggier cycling jersey not MTB 😩
Love my Ornot shorts!
Dude love OrNot - 3 pairs of shorts, 2 pants and socks that have all lasted years
Nearly all of my cycling kit is Ornot. Great colors and most of it made in USA or Italy.
This!!
Love their stuff! I try to buy their stuff when I can, but sooooometimes sales and discount codes are too good for competitors.
That's the type of company I'd love to work for! I'll definitely add them to my livery. Cool stuff!

Excellent episode! Good story and good folks! Also, bicycles! 🎉
Oh hi, Tristan! It’s been a while since we raced CX bikes! (Like 12+ years)
