      what other supermarkets have similar prices to this one in Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka/Nagano?
      Is this the only supermarket in Tokyo with these prices? or is it every OK store in Tokyo? Is there any other supermarket companies you recommend?

    I didn't visit Asakusa when I was in Tokyo weeks ago, because Asakusa is pretty touristic. However, this supermarket sounds great to stock up drinks and snacks before leaving for a day trip out of Tokyo. Thank you for this video.

    I'll definitely give it a try when I visit Japan at the end of this year.
    I am almost jealous about the amount of different convenience foods at super affordable prices. In my country you couldn't buy the "Katsu" by itself for that price, let alone in that quality.
    Also great that you guys show also show the more local options for tourists 👍.

    2:54 WHOA 😳 those are even cheaper than at Haneda/Narita airport. Wow! I am STILL planning my Tokyo Holiday, which starts estimated 19th of October, this year. I didn't even knew OK Asakusa existed when I was last time in Tokyo, granted, it was in 2018 or so, it was not open yet then.

      If you want to try various types of Kit Kat, we also recommend a place called Niki-no-kashi in Ueno. It's not as cheap as OK, but they have unique varieties that you won't find in other stores. We introduce it in this video!

    some of these packages can be found in Los Angeles in japanese markets, but with a massive 3x-4x mark up! Onigiri cost 5x more in the US!

      Wow! Even in Japan, convenience store onigiri are generally around 150 yen ($1.02), so I'm surprised at how affordable this supermarket is!

      Becoming a member will get you a 3% discount. A Japanese address is required for registration. Please note that the discount is only applicable for cash payments. Even if you don't become a member, it's still quite a good deal since it's already affordable :)

      Yes, they offer tax-free services. For that, a passport is required. Additionally, payment needs to be made in cash, not with a credit card :)

      I'm not sure about the packaging, but as long as you have your passport, you'll be fine. The price applies if you purchase items totaling over 5,000 yen before tax.

      This is the non-member price.
      Issuing a membership card costs 200 yen ($1.37). If you're a member, you'll get a 3% discount off the regular price, but this only applies to cash payments.
