    2 Things: the steam should barely come out of the pressure cooker and the red indicator is there to tell you that there is pressure. So it should be in the up position. The correct way to use the pressure cooker: Close it and put the heat on maximum. The red indicator has to pop up (otherwise you don't have pressure). As soon as the steam is coming out turn the heat down until the steam barely comes out. A dish like this one should cook for about 20 minutes. After that turn down the heat completely. Within 5 to 10 minutes the pressure should be gone and you can open the cooker. With some dishes you could also cool it down with cold water from the tap, or put the knob in the steam position.

      @@englishforbengalimediumstu7529 hey I think, in every five minutes or so lightly shaking the pressure cooker might work for you! side ways stirring I mean not like cocktail shaker, I felt like clarification was needed.

    Well mate I've watched your video and as another person said, it's better than what Tefal has to offer Thanks for that!. I have never used one and they freak me out a bit😬your video has helped me alot👍
    I just wanted to cook a whole chicken, unbrowned with veggies so I jammed it in with 2cups of stock, no where mentions the amount of liquid needed! Or if I should turn it down after it reaches boiling pt on high! So I did turn it down to med/high-ish
    In it went for 45mins??
    RESULT- Well it has turned out awesome 👍
    I would probably cook that size chook (smaller one) for 30mins!

    The red indicator needs to come up. It means pressure had built up. Once steams comes out, turn gas to minimal. Gravy could be thicker in the pot once lid removed.

    Lots of plastic moving parts for Tfal to sell you when they break down or malfunction. How much dismantling of the pot to clean it? And putting it back together afterwards? I have a Tfal and thinking about another brand that do not have these issues. But I do love the quality of the food it puts out. The directions for use were useless in the manual and on their instructional video.

      Sage usually do good one aswel as prestige but work will be very similar, I recommend hand wash take out the silicone and rinse throughly with sponge

    Thanks for the video, much better instructions than Tefal which is very confusing. one question, do you press the dial down when turning it to the vegetable or meat indicator? or just turn the dial like it says on the manual.

    Just bought this and having watched this video wondering what the advantage of over using a normal pan with a lid on ?The thought of having to unscrew and clean those bits on the lid every time I cook is really off putting. Thinking of returning it tbh. I bet that steam could really burn. I had steam burn a few year ago when I put my arm above the boiling kettle. Steam burns are actually much nastier than dry heat burns

      It's quite easy clean and maintain, pressure cooker are safer than regular on the hob pans. It has safety features to keeps the users safe

      I also had a really bad steam burn from a boiling kettle. They are indeed much worse than dry burns. Top tip : I kept a plastic frozen bottle strapped on my arm overnight (changing it regularly obviously) and it healed fast

    When it starts to blow steam, do i lower the heat? Should i keep cooking on low or medium heat? I’m so scared of the steam coming out so hard..

      Steam coming is good sign, it depends what your cooking keep eye on the red valve and your minutes

      @@smvision55 i’m cooking oxtail/bones soup for Pho. I released the pressure and the steam (+all the fat from the broth/bones) came out 10x harder :( my whole kitchen was a fatty/wet mess. Any tips on how to release the pressure without the mess?

      That should not happen only on very high heat, keep to low to medium heat should take just over an hour when u see lot pressure coming out lower the heat a little gradually

      Yes, you have to lower the heat. It works like this. Put the heat on maximum until steam is coming out. Then you lower the heat until steam is coming out very silently. The red indicator that pops up is to let you know that there is pressure. So it has to be up!

    I’m having issues with this one, cause the pressure is coming out of safety valve. I don’t know why. 😢 also the food gets burnt as well as the bottom of the the pressure cooker.

      If your using induction or electric to start with then low near the end, gas high few minutes only then lower appropriately

    You must cook it for about 45 minutes, and if you have bones and potatoes, it will need about 45 minutes, by then your potatoes will be soft, and your meat will melt in your mouth.

      Meats are between 30 to 45 minutes depending on the size and how lean it is, chickens are quicker and meats a longer

      @@smvision55 well most of pressure cooker company mention that it is suitable for cooking capacity for 4-5 or 6-7 family members normally.. Hawkins do that in their manual .. well I guess you have no idea with this.. thanks anyway.

      @@Rsha840 several occasions I have cooked food in it and it hasn't been the same due to people's appetite. Me having the same as someone is very unlikely, so far the portion hasn't been the same when the same amount of people having food to be honest, we can only guesstimate
