Drag racing- modern muscle cars vs Tesla - Ford Shelby, Dodge Challenger Hellcat, Camaro SS, Dodge Ram and Chevy Corvette C8 vs Tesla Plaid and model 3
Most people use cordless drills. I've been in the maintenance industry my whole life and when we went to cordless drills from corded drills it was like the heavens opened up.
@G82Watts that makes no sense. Why would someone feel validated for spending a whole lot of money on a car that goes fast when most people at the drag strip build their cars from the ground up and they end up spending a vast amount of money just to race Tesla fans like their cars for one simple reason, they're efficient. There's a lot less maintenance because there's a lot less moving parts and they're quick. There's no Hocus pocus or magic formula or any of this other gobbler gook that you all are talking about. It's just some alternate way to drive. That's it. It's that simple. It's amazing to me that people talk about Teslas the way they do not understanding that Tesla's are not even the first electric car manufacturer made. Chevy was the first one to come out with the electric car but the gas companies made Chevy bend Indiana and made them shut down production. So that just lets me know that Chevy's is a bunch of pushovers. But anyway you all can think what you want to think about Teslas or what not. It's no different than how cultish those Dodge boys are. Those Dodge fans are way more cultish than Tesla fans
EV are junk but overpriced? The whole point of owning a tesla is cheap speed that u couldn't afford otherwise. All these tesla drivers are average joes
@@G82Watts You got that right. They're pieces of junk. They're ticking time bombs. Look up how many of these pieces of junk ignite, and then the fire can't be extinguished for a while due to the lithium. And these microwave ovens on wheels emit radiation to where a lot of you EV nutters are going to end up with cancer. Look up the waves these junk cars emit. And finally, when these pieces of junk decide to take a dive, the repair costs run in the 5 digit thousands. Don't get me started on how the EVs are pushed the powers can start implementing the carbon footprint, limiting how far you can drive. There's a laundry list attached to these EV pieces of junk. All the push for EVs by world governance in unison with car companies didn't happen by accident, because NOBODY asked for these microwave ovens on wheels.
@@john-wk4gq carwow surface and conditions during the race clearly didn't show the true winner. Daniel Abt and Edmunds did the race and the taycan won in everyday conditions. Also quick note for the tesla to even have a chance it has to precondition before hand which is impossible to day in daily traffic. The taycan doesn't require any preconditioning thanks to its heat pumps. Taycan turbo gt ran a 9.0 quarter mile on a drag strip already. Plaid only managed a 9.2 and that's not even the taycans purpose. If porsche only cared about straight line speed they could of easily made a tri motor setup with crazy HP but they intended to make the best overall EV sports sedan that drives like a porsche. They destoyed everyone when it comes to that. Every other EV is a one trick poney except for the taycan. Making it the new standard.

Most of you all are not going to like this comment that I make but I don't care. The title to this is Tesla versus American muscle. That is such an idiotic title because Tesla is also an AMERICAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!-made manufacturer like what is wrong with some of you people. And more importantly, how do you not know this?
@okman2348 and most of the Chevys and Fords and especially Dodge and Mopar are made in Mexico. So explain that one genius. They're mostly made in Mexico. There are hardly any more plants here in the United States that manufacture our cars but they are still american-made cars. You just shot yourself in the foot with that idiotic response. It makes absolutely no sense. Where do you think your hellcats and Dodge demons are made at?
@okman2348 and you may say that Tesla is not a muscle car. But the fact that they are smoking your muscle cars by definition. They are. It's just electric muscle as opposed to combustion muscle. These comments really has opened my eyes up to why our country is in the state that it is in because we have a lot of smooth brained. People that really don't think before they open their mouths and most of them are running off of emotions just like females. Bavarian motorworks they do not consider themselves and American manufacturer. I don't understand why you all don't get this Tesla was founded and made in America. Tesla in its world registry is registered as an American automobile manufacturer. It's cheaper to build in China. Therefore, giga China but there is also a gigatexas and there's also a manufacturer in California again American made cars.
Watching a Tesla run is like watching someone operate a cordless drill. No action, no enjoyment, same thing every time.

That F150 running a 13.6 in high elevation was damn impressive.
Totally agree mate
A stock F150 lightning is in the 12's...
@TuscolaMatt The new Lightnings are electric. High elevation isn't gonna affect anything electric.
I'm always rooting for the V8's. Those damn Tesla's are quick though you gotta give em that.
i wanna see the Lucid Air, would kill an tesla, all that money for an tablet hahah
Don't care if electric all wheel drive vehicles are quicker and faster at the drag strip, I'll take my HEMI powered Charger over them ANY DAY. F musk!
I'll keep my charger too but why the hate on Musk?

Racing model Y suvs is pretty meh, race the Plaid....
Doesn’t matter if the Chinese EV is faster, what matters is that you are having more fun than vegans
What fun? The AM community is beyond toxic 🤢.
You can't bring a car to the drag strip if you've already burned your tires off ..
That Tesla is not a S Plaid if it was it would have destroy all those cars
Yeah. But at the end of the day, no ones impressed by an appliance with launch control.
