- The Dougherty DOZEN is a loving family of 14, 12 kids and 2 parents in a loving household. This adoption story of love began with the adoption of their first son Alex. Their gradual plan turned into the Dougherty Dozen.
From fostering to adopting, these amazing parents did more than just foster and raise black children, they gave these boys and other children a forever home of unbiased love.
This video shows my first interview with the family when there were 7 in the home. If we reach 10k views I'll post an updated part 2 of this loving household of 12.

I know. It broke my heart. I also love that we don’t know though too because this means they respect their privacy and they don’t exploit them. I just love this family.

Tears rolling down my face for Alex,,ol my gosh hearing hi story broke my heart,,but look at him now he has became a strong an handsome young man an has learn what a loving family truly is. For ever homes are awsome kids have to stay in foster homes or get adopted but I'm glad ppl do adopt the kids and help them through the hard times in their lives
I'm glad for these kids thank god for parents like this I wish I could adopt thank god for this I'm so glad u all a family I didnt adopt my daughter out the state took her placed her in foster home after foster home took my parental right but they done it for nothing now I dont have my daughter because of this so yeah my heart goes to any child that finds love I never got a chance my child is 35 yes old now I pray for her every day want to see her so bad so does her brother 36god will allow it rather they do or not not a bad mom got son but no daughter
I am the oldest of 11 children. I am now 70. None of us were adopted. My parents were 20 when I was born and they had 9 by time I was 12 and they were 32. 2 more kids several years later. Being part if a large family can be wonderful but there are warnings I would give anyone considering have a large family whether its bio or adopted. Children need individual love. They each need to feel special and valued. Children need guidance to plan their adult life and to be prepared for that is probably the most important skill set children need. Children need chores but are not maids or servants. They didn’t decide to have a large family. Large families have lots of laundry, big meals, lots of groceries and lots of bed making and house cleaning. Very Large families need 2 washers and dryers , 2 refrigerators, a freezer a dishwasher or two and a big pantry. Children need to be kids, watching their siblings is not allowing them to be a kid. Pay a babysitter. Even if its your child. Help each child with homework and school projects. Encourage sports, musical instruments and hobbies. Encourage college. Do more cleaning than the children do. I admire any parents of large families but remember this was your idea not the chikdrens.

Hearing their oldest son's story here just breaks my heart (😭), but I also *rejoice* with the love, connection and security he has found. He SO deserves it! ALL children deserve it! I just found their channel a few weeks ago and I absolutely adore them! Especially how they didn’t want to separate Jason and Jordan ❤️ And how she invited Alex’s birth mom to their house to celebrate his birthday 🥰

😥That hurt me to my heart to hear him say he got hit on wasn't loved. I could never hit on a child I have two sons and I love them so much. They are my life we are to love are children so im so happy that they made those angels apart of there life. Its a blessing my prayers and blessing go out to this beautiful family 😌🙏❤🌈💓🙌❤🙌☺
It was painful to even film him telling his story. I came from a very abusive home and I re-lived that pain as he spoke. I'm so glad he is loved now.

I think adoption is amazing. My dad was adopted as an infant and because of that decision my grandparents made years ago, I was able to be born and now have my own children. Everything happens for a reason and this family brings me to tears❤

Geez knowing of them only 6 years after this , they have changed so much since being with Alicia and Josh what a turnaround , the kids are awesome and a true credit to them. Good job 👏🏻 👍🏻

I've only recently found this families RUclips channel and I've already watched so many of their videos. Their home is busy, caring, loving and full of happiness. I love watching her morning routine of amazing healthy breakfasts, lunches and starting dinner all before the kids wake up. Xx

Anyone wondering about the story The Dougherty Dozens that’s their channel name watch their story of life it’s very beautiful and they were fighters throughout the processes of all their kids I was crying through all of it she has 4 Bioligcal children but the first child ever in their family was their miracle Son that was adopted and I think struggled with getting into their family as their first then her very First child was Zoey and then the line goes on Dashel Bodi I’m sorry if I spelt your name wrong bud and Harlee She has the nickname quin and also has a strong relationship with her older adopted brother they are all adorable and the rest of list going on were the rest of their Miracle children and you can find their story on the channel but they are in the Process of Adopting Two more sets of twins you can see everything on their channel ever since I stated watching I fell in love you won’t regret their mom is the best she loves all of them I hope she does but she really does her style In her family is cute Hilarious cool and more they always have a fun time

And reason we’ll watch their story but I will tell it short hope I’m right well in the beginning they had a bit of difficulty of having children but they also really wanted children they love their kids so much they are all really happy with her but they can have their days but they also have their own Personality’s in them

It would be very difficult to adopt this many children. You have to be the right person for it. (I’d do it in a heartbeat if I could). There needs to be more families like this out there. ❤️🥰

Beautiful family. It's so tough to hear this. Heartbreaking. This family is utterly amazing. God bless them. Love them. To have these kids feel so helpless or hopeless that no one will want them or be a forever home is gut wrenching. To hear the stories of through no fault of theirs having physical or emotional setbacks.
