- Minicraft 1/350 RMS Titanic build.
This build took a while. In addition to warped parts, I had to learn to work with PE and finally have started to use airbrush.
Dimensions:
Length 76cm, width 9cm, height: 21cm
Wow the wood decking and photo eching makes this beautiful. Nice job. Cheers from Canada.
Thank you 😊
Absolutely stunning model. Congratulations.
Thank you so much 😀
You did one amazing job on that kit. Its beautiful! Thank you for sharing!!!
Thank you! 🙂
I'm planning on turning my minicraft titanic into a rc boat!
Cool 😊😊
I'm also planning on converting a 1:600 scale titanic into a radio control ship
WOW great job. I just started 1/350 Titanic also. I'm working on drilling out the port holes first.
Thank you 😊 enjoy building this great ship!
What a stunning build. You did an amazing job, especially with all that rigging, and it was a delight to watch. I have the same kit waiting in line to be built and if I manage to do half as good a job as you, I’ll be pleased 🙂
@@tjfSIM Thank you so much! The rigging took a lot of time but it was worth it. Good luck building 🙂
Thank you for sharing this very informative video! 👍👍👍🚙🚙😊😊😊
Good to know that you liked it :)
thank you for a such a nice video
Thank you 😊
Congratulations, well done!
Thank you 😊
Beautiful! Outstanding! Amazing! Love it! I just completed my first build (Bought in 1996) And will be starting the next build hopefully more accurate and less mistakes. Where did you get the people? I have been searching the web to no avail!
Thank you so much :)
I found the people on eBay actually:

@@philair1 thanks - I order a set....what Airbrush kit did you go with? I think I should start using one....
@@artm7171 I am using a Sparmax MAX-3. It's my first and I am really happy with this one so far :)
Beautiful ❤
Thank you 😊
the wheel house front was flat not curved, minicraft got that wrong.
I will be receiving my model in the mail today! I can't wait to start building. What would you recommend, besides the wooden decking for aftermarket replacement parts? This is going to be a project that I work on with my sons and my dad this summer. I would like to put the time and detail into my model, like you did! Great job on your finished product!
Thank you!
Really nice to hear that you are building this with your sons and dad!
This will be a great project to do together :)
I think that the wooden deck did a lot to this kit.
And if you're up to it there are a lot of photo etched parts to add to it to.
I used several of them, but I also struggeled with some.
If you are going the photo etched way, there is good info here:
www.titanicmodel.net/uploads/4/1/6/0/41607523/photoetched_brass_tutorial.pdf
Good luck building !
@@philair1 I fully intend on using the photo etched parts, all of them. I’m also looking into the wooden deck and the 3D printed parts. Also, is the bridge detailed with the wheel and telemotor?
@@michaelhutchison6970 Sounds good!
No, I didn't get a lot of bridge details.
Just the weel. I just used the stock parts for the rest (not very detailed). But I think you can find more detailed parts
This is what I used

Wonderful work ! May I ask where You got the wood veneer for the deck please ?
Thank you :) I got it on ebay - www.ebay.com/itm/303062996596
You did a beautiful job on that model and I must say you didn’t change the center propeller there’s been a lot of controversy on the Internet about weither the Titanic sailed with a three blade or four blade propeller due to some questionable material that supposedly was from Harland and Wolf and from Thomas Andrews that has now been confirmed as false however any serious Titanic enthusiast knows that the Titanic sailed with a four bladed propellor and not the so-called three blade one
Thank you 😊 yes, thought about changing the propeller but decided not to
I bought a 1:440 scale it'll be here Monday 7-17
Nice! Happy building 🙂
Привет😊, скажите пожалуйста длину и ширину этого замечательного корабля, видео классное🎉
Thank you :)
Dimensions:
Length - 76cm
Width - 9cm
Height - 21cm
@@philair1 спасибо, попробую сделать😁
Great Build! I'm currently working on the exact same model, even got the wooden Deck from Artwox. But I don't have a piece of wooden deck for the bridge on the poop deck. How did you make it?
Thank you :) Yes, I was disapointed that the wooden deck kit didn't contain a piece for the bridge. I just used some of the extra material and cut and glued it to the bridge.
It did turn out ok

@@philair1 thank you, thought about doing the same, but I wasn't sure if it would match the color of the rest of the decks. But it definitely looks better than painting the small piece of the bridge :)
@@marcelzoeller the color is the same but is missing the black lines. But it turned out better than what I could do with my painting skills
Hi! Wonderful build! A beautiful ship! I'm late! Having such a pearl at home is priceless! Please tell me, what drill diameters did you use for the portholes? 1.5 and 1 millimeter?
@@user-nv2hu4mh4h
Thank you :) It is a while since I drilled the holes but I think it was 1 and 1.5mm. Quick tip, get some extra 1mm ones. I broke a couple of them :)
Beautiful model. I just bought the earlier 1/350 minicraft model and my after market wooden decking is a tiny bit mis-aligned on the forecastle deck as it is made for the updated kit, I have a bit of adjusting to do.
Just a couple of questions as I prep for my build. Did you trim ledge inserts for the window frames or did you just glue them into position over the openings? I cant really tell if you did as I have the same photo etch sheets of which I purchased separately from Toms Modelworks.
What size is the thread you used for the rigging? The thread that comes with my kit looks a little thick.
Nice job on them tiny benches.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 😊
I glued the windows on without trimming. Not perfect, but looks good enough for me. I Used the stock thread that comes with the kit
Happy building 😊
Sorry if someone already asked this. Where did you get the decking kit and other aftermarket parts?? Thanks!
Hi. Found some on ebay and on megahobby.com
Can i ask you where did you get the people from i cany find anything that small
I actually found them on eBay

How difficult is this build? What tools are needed for it?
This is my 4th build and for me it was the most difficult. But it all depends on your previous experience. And how detailed you want it to be. You don't have to add photo etched parts for instance.
I guess the best tip I can give you is check out shipsofscale.com/ a lot of good information here
Check out the manual too. It lists what you need :
sky.telia.no/s/024429dac36989d4aa4ab5954b49d88512a
Hope this helps
