I have made three of these kits, all Minicraft 1/350 scale. They're enjoyable builds, and I am now inspired to make a fourth, but with PE this time. Keep up the good work.
That was great work on the bottom of those windows. I would think it would be less difficult to take a flat file and extend the windows upwards. why not do both?
Good question! I never really thought about filing it since I don’t have a file small enough to go into the window. I just like doing things inefficiently as possible!
@@theokmodeler5755 I'm watching this series with interest. Your model will turn out great. It is good for me to see as it is shown it is not a project I would want to take on, so thank you. I will just enjoy seeing yours come along.
tamiya buff is as close as you will get, I worked in H&W for 30 years and had access to many old records. there are no colour photos the closest is the white star line promo advertisements.
Good to know! I seen people use Tamiya buff for the funnels, but there are always people who say it’s off or not correct. I just do what I think looks right!
This playlist is gonna be a lot of help to me when i get my 1/350 boi and get the courage to build it! in the future if i do use this, thanks ( i cant remember the word for thanks in the future) wait aren't i 12-
It’s always worth a shot to try something different. It may appear difficult but it just takes practice! I’m still learning new techniques! I think the proper saying to say thanks in the future is “thank you in advance.”
That's exactly how I would have done the 2nd class windows. Don't sell yourself short on your modeling skills; I think your New Jersey is a masterpiece; just like this is going to turn out.
Gary, I will follow along on this journey, this is going to be one epic adventure! By the way, there is a fantastic Titanic exhibit in Las Vegas - it was amazing to go through.
Hello, I have this kit (well, not really, it's the original one with the PE from 1999) in my stash for ages. Personally I wouldn't bother with the windows not being on the right plase... after all, it's destiny is to sink...
Liked the super-fast sanding noise! 😁 Thank you for those useful links to the aftermarket and paints! Very helpful, as I have the same kit.
I thought the whole point of modelling was enjoyment, Gary, that doesn't involve rivet counting. You enjoyed it and that's enough!
It’s always about having fun!
Thank you for sharing this very informative video! 👍👍👍🚙🚙
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!

Thanks! I’m amazed you’ve done 3 already!
Do you recommend the 2017 version with updated parts?

It will be a fun adventure for sure! Where was the exhibit located? In the Luxor?
@The OK Modeler! yes, the Luxor. It was very good, and informational. I'm glad we went.

😂
Fuckin brilliant resolution for the windows. I really don’t know how they screwed that up
Thanks! I don’t think it was screwed up. I think the mold for the hull has been around since the 70’s and hasn’t changed.
