thank you so much for this amazing tutorial and for sharing the script! Experimenting with it right now and loving the outcome so far! I'm going to buy you a coffee :)
This script is very powerful. I have just one question : how Photoshop & Illustrator Work togheter I means how Illustrator recognize what photoshop did ? because I didn't saw the option to choose the file that Photoshop was extracting using the script, I think illustrator recognize it automatically so I think that it will be better to choose the file. Just That . But the over all is Very good. THNX
Amazing effect and trying to do it in CC 2018 but no Line Distorter Image Processor available, nor I can load your script. Could it be the reason that it doesn't work on Mac or it works only in CC 2017?
Hello! I was wondering if there's an updated version of this video. There doesn't seem to be a "line distorter image processor" button under Scripts. I am using photoshop cc 2020. Thanks!
Amazing video, but it's not working for me :( After PS runs the line distorter script, I open a new document on illustrator and follow your steps to Line Distort Script for AI. The dialog box opens and I click "ok", but then nothing happens :(( My PS is CC 2018 and AI is CC 2019. Any idea about what's going on?
Is there any way to do that with photo? I tried few times (grey scale, different contrasts) but not getting nowhere near similar style so I guess I'm not preparing photo right. Thanks
In old times designs were made by hand. (and still does). You can see these type of handmade process in three documentaries "Design Trilogy by Gary Hustwit".
Hi, Amazing tutorial. I tired exactly same but when starting in illustrator lines are coming with angular edges, not smooth rounded like in the tutorial. Can you tell what I'm doing wrong?
Which version of Photoshop are you using. I’m using cc2018 and the line distort or image processor is not an option. Could you supply the version you are using. It would be much appreciated. Thank you for sharing your valuable knowledge.
Unfortunately it did not work well for me. In Photoshop does not appear the options to configure the x-steps and y-steps. Even so, I runned the script and opened the document in Illustrator, the whole process worked like in the video tutorial, but the distortion was not good for lack of configuration in Photoshop. Blame it on my PC. I use Illustrator and Photoshop CS6 running on Windows XP. Only later did I pay attention to the "read me.txt" which indicates that the script was tested in Illustrator & Photoshop CC 2018 (OS: Windows 10)! Too bad it did not work for me, but for all other users, it's sure to be a big help. Congratulations on the script.

This is awesome, and great work on the script. Tho I believe there *must* be a faster way to read all the pixel values than how the script does it.

Both need to be installed at their separate folder. Maybe you forgot one.
Mac could be the reason. I made with & for windows. I don't know whether it supported in Mac.

It´s like the "Unknow Pleasures" cover from Joy Division designed by Peter Saville. How would he did it in 1979??. Love that effect!
