Thanks for the content you bring into the community I hope you know that you at least make my day in these really difficult times.
I love the craziness of this project, and the amount of research that the creators put into this. It makes so much sense, but only because the board was designed very well. In vintage Japanese Hi-Fi equipment, there's also a beautiful seperation of each circuit (sometimes visibly outlined on the PCB, or cut into seperate boards for easy replacement); ("this part is for power, this part amplifies, this part is EQ, this part is output, etc") But to have the Cojones to start cutting up boards too... :) A big thank you to the entire homebrew scene, by the way. For making consoles and devices usable in more ways than were intended, and extending their life significantly and reducing e-waste. And thank you, Anthony. This was another great video from Anthony! Love to see his enthusiast taste come to light in these videos.
Absolutely one of my favorite videos! If I weren't halfway through another build, I would order parts for this RIGHT NOW!
I want Anthony everyday on this channel
buh

I think it’s good we don’t get him all the time, it’s like a treat!
Me: *a huge Wii fan* Finally a portable Wii!
Anthony: *builds it*
Me: nvm
You ain’t a huge Wii fan if you think the Gboy is the first portable Wii
@@sanmoon3543 Oh yeah I know there are more, but they're all kits and I thought this one wasn't going to be one
TJ Sell it might not be possible to make profit off all built modified systems in such manner as the gboy as the amount of Wii’s that would be needed to keep up with the demand would be too big!
@@sanmoon3543 Shout out to Kill Mii (not sure if it was the first but I digress)

I remember the first video I seen of this guy on one of Linus videos.. he was like super shy and I could tell he wasn’t in his comfort zone...
now probs like a year later he’s a natural.
Fair play bro your actually a legend!
If I could go back in time I would of gone to college and I’d be just like you 🤙
This guy needs his own youtube channel he knows a lot!! Anthony tech tips
Another plus.......if you put it together yourself you get a lifetime warranty
dumpsterdawg yaay
for free
i appreciate that the new intro is dark mode ... now do floatplane dark mode
It's probally dark mode because that is what Anthony probally uses, blinding white is for Linus....
I think it's more whatever editor
I thought LTT dark mode intro was for their gaming-related videos.
@@rowan-paul on the topic of editors, did aprime leave?
Sees Linus with Twilight Princess:
“Ah yes, I see you are a man of culture.”
meanwhile I'm longingly looking at metroid prime in the top right corner ;~;
Wind Waker better
Anthony really brings deep knowledge and understanding in almost anything he talks about. More of him in videos please!!
With Linus' reputation for dropping things you would think the DIY videos would be endless.
Anthony you’re amazing, I love how you start to appear in videos whenever stuff starts to get too technical, keep it going and thanks Linus for giving this guy a chance!.
I feel like I would spend more time building this than actually using it.
Dario D'Aversa me too, but for me that's not unusual.
You aren't the only one, I built a full size arcade but probably spent more hours building it than playing it. The building process already gave me a great sense of satisfaction, so playing it after or watching my son play it is almost an added bonus rather than the point.
These guys are so smart, lot of knowledge! Thank you for sharing and I appreciated your efforts! Thank you! 🙌🏽
"I" built this. i dont know why but that feels so good to hear. good job !
Because in the end you will care about it.
You'd be watching someone play it like they are handling your baby.
But is it worth the cost of a PS5?
Two episodes with Anthony in a row.
2020 is getting slightly better than I like it.
*SLIGHTLY*
Linus drops things so often that they've had to get a clamp to hold things for him 😂
Hey Linus I doubt you read the comment section but I have been watching all your video's for years on my 6 year old gaming pc. This pandemic made me lose my job 6 months ago and I had to sell my gaming pc for 75 bucks just to make my rent this month. I do make it a point to head to my local library so I can hop on a computer and watch your latest video because it brightens up my day. Thanks for the content you bring into the community I hope you know that you at least make my day in these really difficult times.
Not gonna lie when Anthony said u can make one for urself
I was genuinely excited
Then you see the marker line/dremel cut on the PCB......
"You didn't build it, did ya?" I feel personally attacked Anthony.
Today on “Anthony does all of the heavy lifting and definitely deserves a raise”
"but you didn't build it, did you?". how much i love this quote from Anthony in this video, says a lot about a creator/maker's passion :)
Linus: *complains about Dpad and cost*
Anthony: "but you didn't build it, did you?"
Get this guys, imagine a portable switch?!!! 🤯🤯
Ya, right?!
@@BananinhaEsbananada ikr, I can't wait.
Nintendo: "Write that down, write that down!!!!"
Doubt Nintendo would do it...
please don't make Anthony segway to the sponsors, he's my favorite character of the LMG anime
I love the craziness of this project, and the amount of research that the creators put into this.
It makes so much sense, but only because the board was designed very well.
In vintage Japanese Hi-Fi equipment, there's also a beautiful seperation of each circuit (sometimes visibly outlined on the PCB, or cut into seperate boards for easy replacement);
("this part is for power, this part amplifies, this part is EQ, this part is output, etc")
But to have the Cojones to start cutting up boards too... :)
A big thank you to the entire homebrew scene, by the way.
For making consoles and devices usable in more ways than were intended, and extending their life significantly and reducing e-waste.
And thank you, Anthony.
For making 'scary' in-depth mods like this.. Feel doable for noobs like myself
He makes the learning curve seem worth it. And I'm sure he'll inspire many young people to pursue careers in electronics, coding, and engineering (or simply to become avid DIY repurposing geeks)
Me: Deciding to take a nice afternoon nap with Anthonys soothing voice
Linus: 14:55
Get it because Linus sounds like a bitch and Anthony is better and sounds cool
Completely forgot you guys are in Canada... until I heard "Zed" - LOL
“Zed” is part of the Queen’s english, so it makes sense.
I never said it didn't... quit trying to read things into what I said. It was just a simple and whimsical observation on my part.
Yea England always uses zed and not zee Americans have to be literal in their use of our language because they aren't that bright 😜 little example it's a pavement yanks be like oww my brain can't compute let's call it a side walk I walk on the side 😂
@@rumdrinkinpirate6107 I actually think it's kind of neat... it wasn't meant to be an insult or anything. I actually have said it that way in recent time myself.
@@80s_Gamr alls Cool shag you could argue though how we teach our young here we have what you'd call baby alphabet so instead of a b c it goes like ah bu kuh and you'll find quite a few words that are said with these phonic sounds then when you add in regional dialect oh boy that's a different kettle of fish 😂

Damn Anthony, how he always finds these weird complicated things, and gets them done right! (Don't forget how he managed to get a video out of GPUs without connectors, and he always does the Linux stuff. Keep going!

I like the new intro. Dark mode: ON
More Anthony for the love of the oc gods, dude seems to have lot of passion for community/homebrew projects like this one and I love them.
I've been part of the homebrew/hacking scene for quite a while now and I know these kind of guys will totally appreciate the spotlight. Shoutouts to everybody that made it accesible for us mortals to get a portable Wii in hardware form.
Awesome!, Great work Anthony. I've never considered the words "Physical Modding" to be words that could be dirty talk lol. I have such sympathy when Anthony does sponsor spots, you can literally hear a bit of his soul die inside. Anthony you are a legend, more of this content please.
Me: oh cool there covering this old mod
Anthony:starts cutting up wii with gc inputs
Me: NNNOOOOOO! USE THE LATER REVISIOOOONS!!
felt the same :(
I don't get it. I assume you're saying there was another way to do this same thing?
Ouch.
@@GonzoEnt Never, NEVER use a GC compatible Wii for mods. All Wiis natively support GC, and will run GC games with homebrew, so if you are going to mod one, use one that doesn't have GC ports on it.
GonzoEnt there’s another model of the wii without GameCube hardware. Gamecube’s are becoming rare and thus a means of playing their games are also becoming rare. Don’t even get me started on the GC controller.
2:17 I like Anthony's EVIL laugh.
I don't know what it is exactly. But I love whenever Anthony is the main host of a video. There's just something about him. Like he knows sooo much about Tech and I feel like he won't get mad or frustrated if I don't know what's talking about. Lol. He would probably tell me it's okay and find an easier way for me to understand what he's talking about. He would make an AMAZING Teacher...
MORE ANTHONY!!!
Best line for tech enthusiasts "But you didn't build it, did you?"
Me: If Anthony can do it, so can I...
Me after watching the video: ok, nevermind, I didn't want to play WII anyways.
linus: "i cant belive you chopped up this PCB!"
China: "really?"
There’s another reason too. Keep in mind, this isn’t emulating GameCube and Wii games, it’s running them on genuine hardware. This drastically increases the speed of emulation and reduces bugs associated with it.
Me: *having a childhood nickname of G-Man*
Anthony: "made by G-Man"

How’d you get that nickname?
That was what many people called me growing up lol
