The ball ends presses still against the pin so that it is on the video. Press the strings back into the guitar body first so reduces the pressure and the pins comes off easier.
I have all ready done a vid of another way to remove them. On a vid I've made when taking this guitar apart for another project. They were made from the softest plastic I've ever come across on a guitar. The way you describe didn't work with this one, cheers for your input.
Is that fretboard rosewood? I saw some Taylor guitars like that, they said because rosewood was becoming so scarce they were using a lower grade and some was like this. Wasn't quite this obvious but still the same.
Pretty sure it's rosewood, but does have a slightly more open grain and a very little bit softer. I will clean it up later and feed it with some linseed oil and see how it comes up. At least it is wood, unlike some Martins that come with plastic fretboards. Maybe I'll just paint it with some ink and make it look like ebony!
You may want to try diagonal cutting pliers to get those bridge pins out. They get underneath better and give you some leverage but make sure you don’t squeeze very hard to avoid cutting into the pins.
The guitar string winders usually has the tool on the other end to pull the pegs out.

I have been using string winders for over 40 years, and I never understood what that notch/gap at the top was for... 🙃

Cheers. I might have some of them about, I'll give it a go if I have to do it again.
What no beer! Small problems for that price I suppose mate. How about a Banks's mild then?
Banks Mild? No, just got back from the pub, with another bass, after drinking Milton Medusa. But is a mild a mild any more?
At one time Banks's was allied with Hansons and the Hansons was a real old black country mild.Aint seen any for a long while unfortunately.
Banks and Taylor 'own' me local. The last time I was there. Shefford mild for me.
Can i expect it to last atleast a few years?
I'm not overly sure, take look at some of my other video's
@@tallthinkev I will, cheers!
