This would be the start of a 22 week streak by my grandfather that would never be broken. The next matches in succession following mike morgan are: Chuck Vozella Charlie Jutras Craig Holbrook Jim Putney Gary Carrington Rob Berkiel Lee Buskey Bill Treeful Wayne Dennin John Miller Reggie Deline Neil Gosselin Tom O’Brien Skip Easterbrooks Dan Lasko Glen Leblanc Rick Bourassa Jeff Atkins Peter Flynn Pete Pereria Peter surette Lost to Fran Onorato in the 23rd week
I miss watching candlepin bowling and especially Don Gillis. I went to a few tapings at the old Sammy White's with my dad back in the day. My mom was born and raised in Nova Scotia and she was so excited when she met fellow Nova Scotian Gillis.
Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Fire . Again I started watching Don Gillis bowling early 1970s, amazing that Tom was only 16 when he won 3 matches in a row!! Makes candlepin bowling look easy.
Grainy, yes, but still very much watchable. What Channel 5 would have looked like from my TV in RI. BTW, was this the start of Tom Olszta's 22-week run? I remember watching him as a kid, on both Channel 5 and the old Channel 27. He was amazing to watch. BMP

So the 🐐 is your grandfather? Wonder how he's doing now?
Wow at least 10 of those names are killers, that was a great streak. He was my favorite bowler growing up in the 70's and eighties.
jim putney and bill treeful are left
So nostalgic, so many memories. I thank you for finding and posting these.

Two of my favorite. I love this channel.

Tommy's first appearance was 50 years ago in October 1973
Still trying to figure out Morgan’s haircut. It’s like a crew cut up front with mullet in the back or something 🤷
mike morgan made his first apperance on 7-1-78 and he defeated bob kelly
