At the 6:01 mark Don Gillis mentions Rosario Lechiara representing the Mohegan Bowl in Webster. Mohegan has an interesting set up, offering candlepin and ten pin lanes. A little over five years ago I visited Mohegan Bowl and bowled candlepins for the first time.
Hi Wolfman, I noticed that you took down the match that aired the week before this one (Craig Holbrook vs. Bob Kelly, 31 March 1990). Was there some sort of issue with it?
Don always fondly recalls Rosario's high triple whenever he was on, and rightly so since it was the show record for so long. But I don't think he ever mentioned what each individual string was. Or the string total where he got a mark in every box. Does anyone know?
That was one heck of a comeback at the end. He was wise not to give in to frustration when he for so long could not get a mark.

What did you think of candlepin?
@@karlschneider9479 I bowled them once and would love to bowl them again.
Rosario was a legend. Craig is still bowling today and does very well.
He was my dad's favorite.

Rosario is best remembered being one of few Bowlers in this series to get a "Clean Game", which is a mark in every frame in one string.
164, 177, 127. I believe his 341 after the first two strings is a show record.
First lefty I’ve seen
