The fact that every since the beginning of their friendship Buck just sees Eddie struggle in any way (first with getting him Carla) and is always there for him 😭😭
So many people seeing this as more than friendship, and I have to say…I agree. They constantly show them as a family (not general family, but as a singular family unit), they place them in romantic tropes, their storyline parallels those of other romantic couples on the show, and they have the most amazing chemistry. I hope they make them a couple, but if not, they really need to introduce love interests with explosive chemistry strong enough to be able to blow buddie out of the water. This is just an opinion. If you don’t agree, you don’t agree. 👍🏼

A brother in arms kind of representation. Or maybe it's to externalize the inner mental and emotional processes that make us grow... The audience's need to make this friendship a love story is understandable- but i don't see it in their body language.. Such a difference would take a whole season to build up if it's in the cards. But im quite content to observe something as pure and rare as a life-time friendship. I think it's less common than just plain old romance- as good as it may be!
I’m good either way. But their platonic friendship reminds me of my dad & uncle. Both were firefighters together and are still so close they act like an old married couple instead of in-laws (my uncle is married to my dad’s sister) or coworkers.
Even if they don't become a couple (I really hope they do since they deserve each other), I really do love the relationship they made with each other. They love each other, rely on one another, and have really become a family. Eddie and Buck will always have one another and that's truly a beautiful thing!

They are a family. Just not they way many want (boyfriends/husbands/fathers to Christopher). A strong & close bond; may be unlike brothers, but still there for each other. They have their separate lives and still make time for ‘their family of three’
I mean, I watch Chicago Fire Cruz and Otis. They hugged each other even closer than Buck/Eddie. They even said "I love you" and "I miss you" but the mannerism and the way they interact with each other is clearly a platonic brotherly love with no romantic subtext. But for Buck and Eddie, idk, even if they are 5 feet away from each other, it's like they still radiate some kind of romantic energy to each other.

That's very presumptuous of Buck to assume he broke the glass door rule when we all know Hen is the first to go charging in when it comes to keeping patients alive.
Everybody who thinks is brother friend or bromance it's far from it because After Eddie got out of that well, he chose Buck to be his life partner by legally binding Buck to him and Christopher when he changed his will and named Buck to be Christopher’s legal guardian. As well as Buck decided he was going to "step in" to help Eddie which he learned in season 1 when Bobby taught Buck how to step a relationship but not overstep. It's ok for them to be in love with whomever they choose so please get off of the oh Buck and Eddie are straight mindset and see with your heart eyes and not your physical eyes.
