I like the chunkiness, it allows the wood to catch a lot of the downwards light rather than it all hitting the table. I'd change nothing about it's shape. Thanks Tom.
Turned a table lamp a little while ago, a nice peoce of beech, that oak is and all its imperfections are first rate, so many disregard that type of timber, it has lived and shows its journey to the lathe, really good video again, thankyou!
