Tomb Raider IV: Senet Shenanigans

While playing the game of Senet, I find my opponent unable to move and Lara making moves that shouldn't be possible.
What causes this to happen, I have no idea. I'm playing on the Steam release of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation with no modifications or alterations. This has happened multiple times.
