  • Following on from a previous resin lamp, encasing a dried hydrangea, I thought I would revisit the idea, but with better underlighting.
Here are some of the products which I use. Though, I receive no support from vendors of these products, I will mention them to aid the newer turners in deciding what they like and what they don't!
    Chestnut products
    Cellulose Sanding sealer
Thinned cellulose sanding sealer using the Chestnut thinner
    Acrylic sanding sealer
    Wax 22
    Thin CA

    Food Safe oil
    Other consumables
    Starbond EM-02 thin CA
    03a thin CA

True Grit superfine abrasive wax paste

    “… bootleg…” 😂😂😂
I enjoy your humor! Nice little nightlight as well. I haven’t turned much resin and although I like what it can do for wood, IT’S MESSY!

Ha ha, thanks... I should have been drinking that stuff, not pouring over wood 🤣🤣
Yes, resin is messy alright, but I like how it can compliment wood nicely, when using the right colours.
I did another resin project over a few weeks, but only filmed a few bits ... for some YT shorts. Hey ho, just chopped down a hawthorn tree, I have a few days of processing it now!
