I switched to Kagi. This search engine does not use any ads. This can be done because it uses subscriptions to pay for its development. The cost is minimal and the results are impressive. Its better that Google ever was. As was pointed out in this video, there are occasions where I will use Google, Bing, Gemini, or ChatGPT. It all depends on what I am after. But Kagi is my main engine.
Very interesting and thanks for sharing. I still have Bing set as my default but I'm thinking of branching out and will definitely take a look at this one. Thanks for the tip!
That's great to hear! It's always interesting to see how different tools work well for different people. Thanks for sharing your experience with Bing during your college years!
@@paulmaseman2171 if you look at Brave browser, you’ll see that it calls its search function, Brave Search. I’m not sure if it’s on desktop or mobile versions of Brave or maybe both.
I hear you-it’s really annoying when extensions mess up like that. Maybe give DuckDuckGo a shot for more privacy, or Ecosia if you’re into supporting environmental causes with your searches. Finding the right fit can make a big difference!
DogPile is useful how it aggregates results from multiple search engines to provide a broader perspective. Thanks for bringing it up - I'll check it out a bit more!

Thanks!
