- The Kh-35UE missile is designed to destroy combat (amphibious) surface ships and transport vessels from strike groups (convoys) or following independently with a displacement of up to 5000 tons, as well as stationary ground targets.
High efficiency and concealment of the Kh-35UE missile are ensured by its low visibility, extremely low flight altitude over the sea surface and use of special algorithms implemented in the homing head. The missile flight altitude on the flight route to the target is 10-15 m above the sea surface, and in the final section - 4 m.

I am thinking that it is only governments with sworn nemeses that watch content like this but here I am mesmerized at the capabilities of this tactical anti-ship missile. Several of these could have a whole country's naval assets out of the fight in no time seating on the ocean floor. Some wars in future will be worn only in minutes and prevent dragged out conflicts!

The missile look itself is so elegant. Such small weapon but pack a big punch. Imagine a pair of Su30 can carry up 12 missile like that. Releasing a saturation strike can scare the freak out of most advanced destroyer

The interesting thing to consider is total cost of the system and cost per unit. Of course they can't give us that information as every deal will be different. Getting a weapon system like this isn't like driving down to Walmart and stocking up.
Rough figures suggest that one Kh-35UE might sell for ~500k $USD while the comparable American Harpoon sells for ~1.4M $USD. This seems about right. I have seen information on several different weapon systems where the Russian version is about 1 third the price of it's Western equivalent. Are they as good ? Maybe maybe not, but having a much cheaper weapon system is an advantage all of it's own.
Since it's Russian, that means it costs a tiny fraction of what any US anti-ship missile would be. Plus, being Russian, they are certain to function every time.( bar interception).
American equipment prices are overinflated, usa=MIC, Russian=state owned.

Talking about Russian missiles being worse than American isn't correct. Russian rocketry always was exceptional and advanced. Remember, Russia have various serially produced hypersonic missiles, US hasn't successfully tested it's own yet.
Price is cheaper because of economic differences in PPP and as mentioned above, because US military industry is private and make insane margin profits from taxpayers money and Russian military industry is state owned it produce for cost price and make no profits at all (except foreign sales)

Simulation shows SU-35 with six of them. 2 under each wing and two on the fuselage. Its safe to assume SU-34 has the same set up.

Primarily the Ka-52. In order for it to be launched from a helicopter tho it needs the added rocket assistance pack on the back of it.
Pretty potent. Only a few other nations like America, Sweden, Israel, China and a couple others have similar capabilities. Imagine Egypt's mistral sending out four Ka-52 helicopters with two of these missiles each. Not only can it sea skim towards naval vessels but can also act as a short range land attack cruise missile.

High Sub-Sonic speed. That means the US Navy can shoot them down. Suitable for Transport shipping, or US Navy warships after encountering Khibny ECM type Systems. Would have worked well in the Black Sea on post encounter USS Donald Cook.

@@MACRONOne Normally, that might be the case, but this Model is purpose built for export. Ultra reliable, hard hitting, but not really anything special. Reminds me of the French Exocet.
@FunkRaum nah the latest export variants of Russian equipment are usually just as capable as native systems. They usually just lack the Russian IFF systems and have a lower maximum range as per the weapon treaties that Russia and other nations have signed onto.
Russia also has export supersonic anti shipping missiles as well. Heavier but they have similar ranges as the upgraded kh-35 and go over twice the speed at the same sea skimming altitude.
Except for ships of the major powers of large displacement, the subsonic sea skimmers are still more than enough to get the job done. Even old non stealthy models like this or the exocet and others.
