Thankyou and your longsuffering Dad for this upload. I have noticed wet carpet in my 451, only appears to be on the driver's side though. I guess it could be running into the battery tray on the passenger side. I will try looking at that pipe from underneath first though! I used the blow function on my vacuum to dry the carpet, pushed the tube under and left it running for a few hours, dried it nicely. Regards
14:54 the computer controls the gear box. When these get too wet, you get 3 lines on the speedo. The stop start 3 phase convertor is in front of the engine inside the engine bay. Shame you aren't closer to Essex as I have a brand new carpet.
Ah that's handy to know ... Knew it was something important 🤣 had the 3 lines on my 450 but it was the wire rubbing against the under tray ... We fixed it easily thankfully
Well done both a great repair and good job you spotted it and when you did I had the exact same issue many times on my 2007 Renault megane and the frequency of it happening was due to a fault with the actual drain tube! I have never forgotten treading onto wet carpets after work lol all the best to you both Daniel
Stop/start is disabled if the rear window isn't closed - probably why the button wasn’t working. No idea what possessed Smart to code that functionality into the system!

There is another one of those drains under the bonnet beside the heater that can block and overflow through the heater.
We have since found that out 😁 it's ok 👍
Well done Dad you will have to check your other smart car to see if any of the pipes are clear of debris
