  • Guitar Center Used has garnered some negative reviews and anecdotal reports regarding guitars shipped in poor condition and things not being as advertised. We had some concerns before unboxing, but after a twenty-four hour wait on the nitro finish, we opened the case and all was well.
A helpful sales associate reunited the bass with it's original, and proper case.
Everything went fine in this situation, and I have nothing negative to report. I would recommend time on the phone with someone helpful like a sales rep to insure you're getting what you want before you hit 'order.'

I have never had issues with used purchases at GC. Only thing you have to aware of is that new on sale items are to move old stock and display models with should be obvious. Nice Bass!

Ah ha, that's it, the new stock has been handled and aren't always the best examples, I'm assuming. I have gotten really lucky buying cymbals there, so I was happy that he had a good experience, as we were a little worried. The bass is killer; and it's really light, I love my Gibson but that thing is almost prohibitively heavy. The EB3 feels like a guitar with a big neck.

The tune we were covering was way cleaner and much more of a sophisticated pop song then we typically do, but the heavier bass helped fill up where the guitar was open and not taking up the mid-range space as much.
