Loved Julien’s collab! He and maya had such great synergy, you could see his passion for animal welfare and listened so well. Maya revealed today on alveus’ stream that Jenna & Julien made a very kind donation to Alveus. They’re planning on using it to install a permanent splash pad for Stompy!

Julien is probably one of the best collabs so far. i don't what content he does but he was so attentive and patient and not obnoxious or dismissive like some other big streamers that have come before
Absolutely. They've had a good run of collab streams over the last few weeks. I haven't been following for that long, but I've often ended up closing the videos after a few minutes because the streamer guests act like dumbasses. But Julien was great in this video, Valkyrae was great, and Pokimane/Hyoon/Aria were great even though I'm not familiar with any of them. Hopefully this will be a consistent trend, I think experiences like this are a much better fit for Alveus and a lot more likely to create positive associations with the viewers.
Julien does a lot of streaming content from what I'm aware of! He also does some cooking youtube videos too (i haven't watched his videos in years though)
This is my favorite partnership. I love him so much. It makes me happy how he never called animals "it"! You can tell he really cares about them and they clearly feel safe and comfortable with him for that reason. So sweet.
yes!! his wife has 2 dogs, Marbles and Kermit, then he got Peach after they got together, and together they’ve rescued 2 retired racing greyhounds and have fostered a few as well. Julien truly is an animal lover.

But other than finding out about the wedding through the internet, I didn't follow Julien after Jenna stopped (though I will sometimes go back to her content, because it's classic and chaotic) So when he said _five,_ I was just like-- "wait, who's the fifth dog?!?!"

@@siena4235 Loni actually got adopted out at one point! Then the adopters decided she wasn't a good fit and returned her. Then a few more potential adopters turned her down, and J & J were so hurt and offended on Loni's behalf that they just kept her. I remember Julien talking about it once on his Twitch stream. I still think about it sometimes, because there is actually nothing at all wrong or difficult about Loni, she is literally perfect. Calm, gentle, polite, cuddly, the sweetest girl ever. I can't imagine adopting her and then giving her back. Julien theorized that it could be related to a common prejudice people have about black dogs. They're always the most difficult to adopt out, people just don't want them. Keeping Loni was a great decision for them, because Loni is really good at welcoming new fosters and helping them get comfortable, so she's been a huge help. And Julien absolutely loves her. So I guess it was meant to be.
Julien is literally the perfect guest, I’ve watched the stream twice and this video haha such a great collab! I’m not sure if staff or Maya reads comments but LilSimsie I imagine would also be a great collab guest!
There are so many more people just chilling at the live cams now after all of these huge collabs. Many I think came from Julien. I can't think of a more perfect streamer to visit the sanctuary.

I am not a gamer, and You tube is the only platform I have an account, but I followed his wife, thus was introduced to Julien. He was being his genuine self, but he is also very funny.
As a bp owner, pythons are probably the best for people to get used to snakes, theyre large enought to be handled comfortable but they also move so slow and fluidly that its calming to watch
True. That's why I adopted my ball instead of another species. She was such a good education animal for people coming over to my apartment who were unfortunately, more likely than not, scared of or uncomfortable with snakes. Thanks to her slow movement and calmness, they wouldn't be fearful for long. Seriously, you could lightly boop her on the nose and she wouldn't even flinch and move her head - a demonstration that helped a lot of people get comfortable with holding her entire body after I gave them her tail to hold first while I made sure she wouldn't curl herself towards them immediately. As soon as you get into calubrid territory, you lose that quality with 95% of them.
i highly recommend her animal quest series! theyve educated me so much, all while being so fun and entertaining. been watching julien for years, found maya last year!
i had watched her sexual dimorphism lectures on youtube a couple months ago but i had no idea that she ran an animal sanctuary until i found her bc of juliens collab, now i am an alveus super fan and leave the live streams running constantly lol!

It's funny that the highlights are on the main channel and the full streams are on the highlights channel. I love that! Julien is the reason I downloaded twitch in the first place. And then I eventually discovered Maya and Alveus. (Even though I still feel new to it all, I’ve been here since a bit before the foxes arrived!) So this was a real full circle moment for me!
