This video is all about CACHE course for childcare. I do Level 3 but this video is a little bit of an insight into the course and what to expect. The work load can be a lot but isn't everything to do with school? Anyway once you get your head around how to answer the grades it's all quite straight forward.

Thank you sooooo much for this video! I’m about to do this course and I didn’t know what I was going into, I feel so much better now !
at level 2 you can be left alone with the children, it's if you're unqualified that you can't be left. I'm level 2 and I work at a nursery, being level 3 is just better for the nursery itself as each room has to have one level 3 person at all times X
I'm about to finish my first year doing level 3 childcare (BTEC) I hate when people say it's easy and that you just work with children😕 yes it's so easy working with kids 12 hours a week and having 5 different assignents plus having a portfolio to fill with evidence that you can work with children😂💜
This video will be so useless for people leaving school right now!x
*useful x
Emma Ward try doing Alevels in science babe 😂😂😂😂
@@williammoirt1595 don't judge people if you don't actually know what it's like yourself
William Moirt I started A-Levels in science before changing to early years actualy and they were a lot lot easier babes x
@@shafyfatma2638 did you do your GCSES? If you did did you get 5 4's and above and it takes 2 years but make sure you keep on top of all assignments
This video was so helpful! As you said, there really aren't any other videos about the childcare course and even the colleges themselves dont go into much detail about the course and what it will entail so this really helped, thank you. :)
I’m just changing colleges to start this exact course this was really helpful as it gave me an insight to what I’m going to be learning so thank you xx
I've recently applied for this course in college and I'm so excited to start on Monday! A levels in my high school was just not for me, I can't wait for this! amazing video! helped me so much xx
Did you enjoy the course? What have you gone on to do after? :)
The fact im studying for level 3 childcare doing CACHE and going into my second year, this was really helpful x
I done my first year and still doing my second. I was supposed to finished in July but we're now in September tomorrow. I haven't finished unit 16 and need to be done by tomorrow. I'm keep getting resubs for unit 16. I'm terrified. Other then that's its OK but alot of work. Good luck xx
@@itzjust_sadz unit 16 is so big its frustrating im doing all my unit 16 work now so im not behind when I go back in September, good luck to you too. I got a good grade for my first year so im really happy xx
@@becks1946 I got c's and b's so I'm set it's just unit 16. I finished everything then Im keep getting resubs cuz 'it's not my full potential'. Good luck to you, hope 2nd years goes well
@@itzjust_sadz aww bless well done i got a c for my first year
Thanks so much starting college soon doing level 3 quite nervous
This is the exact course that I’m on at my sixth form, and this video is quite useful... I totally agree with what was said at the beginning about people’s misunderstandings about childcare (😤) I love childcare, and I’m aiming for at least a B, but I’m hoping for an A (or even an A*?) thank you for the video ❤️
skip to 4:30 for the course info
I’m taking this course for collage , I had not so much idea and now I really know what to expect thank you so much ❤️
Thank you soo soo much you've helped me loads and gave me some amazing tips on what level 3 is like :) X
I get you! I do EYE CACHE Child Care Level 3 as well ! It's just as hard and complicated as A-levels! I just started it in September. It turned out to be so much different than I though so.. Great video!
it's important for people to remember that it is worth exactly 3 Alevels or 420 ucas points which shows it's just as much work as a levels :) A
More Vicki is there different with early years ?
Thank you I'm 16 and start my level 3 child care next Wednesday !
No I did this course and failed because the work load is immense, their not kidding when they say you get a shit load of work and I mainly failed due to the quality of answers I was giving, it's harder then it seems. I was so naive and was like yer I passed the level 2 with flying colours and I was like ive got this, lol I look back now and cringe thinking it was going to be easy, if you want to do this course, make sure it's 100% something you want to do. To me the childcare part was easy but others may find that the hardest part and the course work the easiest part, you can still fail on a number of things. I could have kept trying until I passed, but by the time I got to finishing the course my heart really wasn't in it any more, so please make sure it's something you basically can't live without and that it's something your fully committed to doing. I know I sound like a hypocrite but i just want to let people know how you can do this but providing you put a lot of effort and work in.Awesome video btw and well presented, I don't know why this video was recommended to me by RUclips though. But I'm definatley glad I watched it.
I am in the opposite dilemma partly, you commented a while ago but wanted to input for future and current learners. The workload is chunky, I did an NVQ through an apprenticeship which I find great fun! My exam is tomorrow so last minute studying but it's so worth it, the pay depending on nursery varies but the children and what you are providing them through their learning is so rewarding.
If you are set on this industry or will carry it on for a decent amount of time to endure the course, do push through! There are difficult topics but overall the course is so interesting and I have gotten so much out of it.
Good luck to the people revising, in college, apprenticeships and for whichever reason you have to be watching the video :)
Thanks so much for uploading this to RUclips Alice
My teacher explain to me that Cache means 3 utters of theory, and 1 quarter of practice. And NVQ means 3 quarters of practice and 1 quarter of theory.
Thankyou so much😄 I've been looking for a video on this. 🌼
old video but helped a lot since im taking this course in collage!!
Thank you Alice, am during Level 1 child care next week.
Im currently doing year one of this course and everything you said is 100% right!
I'm glad you can relate :) A
i’m doing the level three course in China. thanks a lot for your video
Hoping to start this course next year (2 days college 2 days work placement) and then hoping to go to Norland! This video really helps!
Im becoming a social worker and I need childcare level 3
This was amazing ! Thank you !
I might have missed but please could you say how your interview go? what kind of tasks did they ask you to do to enter the course ?
I am starting this in september :) I am doing the Pearson exam board Lv.3 :) Its called Childrens Play, Learning and Developement
I’m starting level 3 childcare on Monday (September 10th) I’m so nervous because I don’t want to fail at it
Shawna Jones ME TOO!! Last minute watching this video while nerves get me from sleeping aha xxx
Siobhan O'sullivan how was your first day??
Shawna Jones I liked it didn’t do much but sound good to the course! Message me private and I’ll snap u??
how did it go? i've applied do to it next September!
Caitlin Jacques honestly the course is so good! For the first few lessons I was watching PowerPoint presentations to get settled, in the last 2 weeks we’ve started actual lessons and it’s really good!
I've just started this course only two days ago but I was panicking sooo much about it mainly the amount of work you have to do, and I was legit searching everywhere for some help but like couldn't find anything until I saw this. legit this has made me feel so much better about it. one thing I'm really confused about is the observations you have when your on your placement? my teacher was saying how you will get two observations a year but didn't really explain what happened on them
How was the workload ?
Hey! Thanks for the video!! Is this kinda the same for the level 2 one as well? Also what did you do after level 3, uni? Xx
Take a lot of vitamins to keep up with the kiddos!
This video was so helpful as I'm really wanting to take a child care corse at collage but every one I know is always saying no do a levels a corse it's the gonna get you anywhere or oh well that's gonna limit you in what you can do and I was just wondering what it will lead you on to more and I was also wondering if I should chose child care or health and social care as I really wanna work with youth children 👶🏼 and I don't like taking exams as it gives me a lot of stress so could you talk more about the day to day basis on what happens thank you so much for making this video btw it has helped sooo soo so much it literally so helpful xx
Thank you for this it was really helpful as there isn’t any information about what exactly is involved on our local college website at all! Is there any group work involved or any group assignments set at all? Or is it mostly classroom, individual study plus the work placements? Also, what sort of hours were you in college/uni each week? Thanks very much! Em.
I’m currently studying in my second year I know this is late but yes there is presentions podcasts not many though shops this helps
I’m in year 11 and I really want to do child care in college but I’m also deciding whether I should train to be a nanny instead
Please help any help would be appreciated what’s best ? Xx
No do child care in college. You will be able to use your certificate to a be a nanny.
this was such a MASSIVE help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you so much, ive been looking for a video like this for ages :) How quick do you start your placement into the course. x
What are you doing with your career now? I'm just about to do a level 3 in my late twenties x
Hi i am recently passed child care level 3 and EYFS level 3 from oplex careers can i now apply for child care job??
Thanks this was an awesome video x
Thank you so much for the information that you have provided on this video! :) It has really helped me come to a conclusion about what I want to study. I have been back and forth trying to decied which one and now my vision is clear. I love your phone case btw, where did you get it from? :P (not your average question) xxx
I'm doing level 2 and its now 15 months
doing this course whilst being an apprentice is 100% different than doing it at college just so you know. at college you're told pretty much everything you need to know in lessons where as when you're doing this as an apprentice you have to find/ research everything for your self and don't get told anything
I guess that totally depends on what college you go to. however the apprentership course and the one I did are completely different courses and they arnt really comparible sinse there so different :)
Hey thankyou for this video... I was wondering about this course... Also how is your experience after doing the course... Did you get a good job... And all...
How many placement hours do you have? I’ve got to do 385 for my second year! 25hrs with 0-2yr olds, 130hrs with 2-3yr olds, 170hrs with 4-5yr olds and 60hrs with 5-7yr olds. I go to college three days a week and placement twice a week.
Olivia Elliott same
Isn't it 30 hours per week now?
I'm doing this along with A levels
I wanna be a primary school teacher ideally the younger ones year r and 1 am i on the wrong course is this mainly just for nursery requirements? Will i have to go to uni to be a primary teacher
I'm studying this in September! I did the level 2 course and loved it! I'm so nervous about starting but I'm excited! 👍🏻
don't be nervous the two years will absolutely fly by and before you know it you will be getting your certificate
What is your opinion about level 3 childcare which is done online by oxbridge? is it job ready?
Please tell me you still have your assignments! I'm literally failing it
you can still be left with children when you are doing your level 2 once the school sorts your DBS out. Also, like level 2, you would go college once a week for a few hours. How many days do you go college a week if you are doing level 3?
there's many different ways of doing both levels. some do level 3 3 days a week some 5 and some 1. there's many different paths for the same thing just like with level 2. :)
Hi,may I know an institute where I can do cache level 3 course online. Thank you
In the essays do you use quotation citations and paraphrases? Thanks xx
I am starting this course in September (providing I get the GCSE results I need) and I'm thinking about working in a nursery setting but I've also considered paediatric nursing or child health and wellbeing. Will the course help me with that? btw, thank you for the video, it's been soooo help full x
yes it will help with that I believe (although I diddnt do it myself so I can't be sure) but I believe that you can then take your ucas points and go off and do pediatric nursing at university. however if that's the path you think you want to go down now id have a look online at unis and check what there requirments are.
Hey
Can you tell me if there is a PDF version of the preparing to work in home based childcare cache level 3 handbook? I have lost my handbook and I wanted to know if I can view it online?
What do you work as now?
Can you become a primary teacher when you have a slight accent ?
Kdrama Luv Yes of course, as long as you can pass the QTS Maths and English tests (assuming your in the UK) you can! Good luck!
Can you be a teacher for children from
The ages 8/11 with this course?
This course specifies from the ages 0-7 years /9 you could be an early years educator at nursery, or primary teacher from the ages 3-7, which is reception and key stage one. Although you could go to uni to study education and can always change your age range if you think it suits you better
Thank you so much
do you think this course would be helpful if i wanted to work in primary school like year 4/5/6 ?
Where can I find the handbook? I haven't started this course, but I'm keen. :-)
I don't believe you can get hold of the handbook until you start the course but there is a link to the course website in the description where you can take a look and see if it is there. thanks A
Is it a fun course??
Im starting level 2 in September did l1 this year

Hi,
Can u help me to do this course online?
Hi I'm in year 11 and insterested in going into this course, do you think the course takes up all of your free time? Or are you still able to do hobbies/ have a part time job? If anyone who takes the course could tell me that would be great🙂
Hey I've done the level 3 childcare course and on my second year. You can still have free time if you manage your time properly but this course takes up a lot of ur time and isnt as easie as they say it is. If u are interested in the course to do something with childcare then you should go for it. I hope this helps
We have to do art too
hello i just wanted to ask how many hours per week do u attend work placement
Hey my name is Jane and I’m starting college in about a week and this video was helpful but I would like someone to help me and tell me what sorts of supplies do I need as my college didn’t say anything about supplies

How many assignments did you have to do for the first year ?
jenniferxo m.a Hi I just finished my level 3 cache course this May. You will do lots of written assignments in the first and second year but don’t worry you teachers should support you throughout and soon you will know what to do. Your not expected to know everything from the beginning. My best tip is to stay on top of your assignments and get organised. I hope this was helpful and good luck if you are starting this course !
Childcare course is very hard?
Cache level 3 childcare is a lot of workk
Do u have any info on cashe course 5
Do you get a diploma after the course ?
