    Wow! This video is very informative. This is exactly what I was looking for, I have a morimoto xb35 system and one of my lights keeps turning off but when I unplug it from the ballast and connect it back again it will work so this video helped me to diagnose the issue and I believe it's the ignitor. Thank you for making this video I was thinking of buying the whole system, which is over $200, but thanks to this video I can purchase what is needed. Thank you so much

    Nice video, thank you, but i'm trying to go backwards, from HID Xenons to Halogen. Is it as simple as removing power to the ballast, then taking 12v source from cable that would normally feed the ballast? Wire that to my Halogen? Obviously ballast would no longer be taking any 12v input. Thank you (Mini Cooper 2003)

    You have been great at responding I bought a kit from you yesterday it’s in the mail I can’t wait to get it. But I have a question do you recommend Morimoto ballast or hylux

    Thank you!!! I ended up calling and getting bulbs because I tried everything else and there was a black spot in the bulb. Now the issue is the relay. I swapped sides and the opposite side didn’t turn on. I’m thinking the relay box messed up the bulb and also the ballast on that side recently went out. I think it’s all connected

    New Issues, I install the Morimoto lights Headlamps and also Rear Lights, Then I updated the Side markers with the new LED's, and now the Passenger side of my C 7 Corvettes has no lights ( all loose Power) can you make a harness to solve this issue/ that will be great !

    I’m having a weird problem. Recently had an engine swap and don’t know if they did something or if something happened on its own. When I turn the lights on the halos will turn on but the lights won’t. When I have the truck turned off and I unplug and reconnect the wire harness to the main hi/lo relay, the lights will come on and I can’t turn off the lights unless I disconnect the battery? Any ideas where I should look first

    How hot do the 55w Morimoto igniters and Ballasts get? Rather than screwing them down under the hood of my corvette, I would prefer to use double sided 3m tape over my wheel wells. Thanks!

      Means you've got a short some where. Unplug each ballast. Replace the fuse. Turn on the headlight stalk. Then plug in each side individually. See if you can pinpoint the problem part that way.

    Just got a brand new Morimoto HID Kit for 19 tacoma. Everything wired up and working and now only right one ignites. I played with the oem input and the lights flicker on and off. A slight touch of the oem input plug and then they flicker on/ off. Any ideas?

    • @LightwerkzGlobal
      @LightwerkzGlobal  5 лет назад

      The H11 connector, the black part that connects to OEM input only plugs in one way tightly. The other way the connector is not "clicked" in tightly. So the proper thing to do is release the metal pins inside with a pick or tiny flat head and just switch the sides.

  • @willsson013
    @willsson013 7 лет назад

    So you get the mosquito light zapping... how do you fix it? The bulb itself you cannot move any connection parts, and the harness just has those two probes... if they're not lining up, it won't plug in.
    So if you're able to plug them in, and you still get the zap, then what?

    • @LightwerkzGlobal
      @LightwerkzGlobal  7 лет назад

      We have seen a few faulty connectors and/or ignitors. Some people do not snap them in all the way and then there is an issue.

  • @Hellbound831
    @Hellbound831 7 лет назад

    what if one of the connectors that connect to the relay melted off the plastic it was placed in? it's a harness from retro-solutions.

    • @LightwerkzGlobal

      Replace it. It melted for a reason. not safe to use any longer.

    Do I have to switch 7:17 to 12:17 on my 2014 civic's retrofit projector for it to make the low-beam work as a high-beam too? Please help. High beams doesn't seem to work and I mounted the double one 7:17.

    • @LightwerkzGlobal
      @LightwerkzGlobal  4 года назад +1

      You will need a high beam splitter to get your bixenon projector to work on that model - www.lightwerkz.net/index.php/components/wire-harnesses/wiring-accessories/high-beam-splitters.html

    I am having problems with one light not working all the time. I swapped ballast, still a problem, tried a different bulb, same problem. I did not swap igniter because it does work occasionally. I'm using the single morimoto relay and if unbolted snd wiggled does seem to affect even the good lights output. Bolted down tight in the right direction and good light seems to be good...bad light always sporadic. I'm wondering if one side of the relay is bad and needs replacing? All parts used are morimoto. How do I go about purchasing a replacement single relay? Any help would be appreciated. Dan

    • @LightwerkzGlobal
      @LightwerkzGlobal  2 года назад

      Swap the relays. This will help you further troubleshooting. You just unclip the relay socket and you can swap sides.

    • @gtnoslp
      @gtnoslp 2 года назад

      @@LightwerkzGlobal it is one single relay with a double connector

    • @LightwerkzGlobal

      @@gtnoslp Ok we have seen those fail or act up. I would replace the whole harness if you think it may be the relayed wiring harness.

    • @LightwerkzGlobal
      @LightwerkzGlobal  2 года назад

      @@gtnoslp Sadly they don't sell the relays. You would buy the whole harness and you could just swap on the relay at first to see if that fixes the issue.

    I just installed a morimoto kit on a 2018 ram 2500, and am getting nothing, no lights, no buzzing anywhere just a message on the dash saying I have a low beam out. The fuse is good, I flipped the polarity on the ballast input to no avail, the connections seem ok, I don't know where to go next.... Is there a way to test the system seperate of the truck without it plugged into the canbus?

    • @LightwerkzGlobal
      @LightwerkzGlobal  5 лет назад

      If you are getting a lamp out error your resistor is not plugged in properly and this will cause the truck not to send power to the lights most likely. Check the connection coming out of the light, it should go right to a splitter and one side will plug into the resistors and the other to the capacitor.

    • @ucfsub
      @ucfsub 5 лет назад

      @@LightwerkzGlobal I've now got 1 set of resistors that get hot but the set for the other bulb is still stone cold and neither bulb lights up, I've checked all the connections. What else could it possibly be?

      Bad connection is all that it could be. Resistors usually dont go bad.

    Thanks so much .....actually i get the HD relay for my car mercedes benz h7 bulbs because after installing my d2s 4.0 projectores and contact with a high beam spliter it works great but i ve the driver side high beam flickering for about 30 seconds until i begin to move with my car and give it asteady electric current 12 v then it works and sure im installed also canbus in both sides ..... sooo i get that HD relay harens to contact directly from the battery to give it asteady current but actually it gives me error indicator in the car computer ..so sir do u ve solution for that ..

    • @LightwerkzGlobal
      @LightwerkzGlobal  7 лет назад +1

      Yes you need a can bus specific wiring adapter or a can bus ballast - www.lightwerkz.net/index.php/components/wire-harnesses/can-bus/morimoto-standalone-canbus-wire-harness.html

    • @hdanielle4164
      @hdanielle4164 7 лет назад

      yes sir i already do it.. So the high beam flickers while my car is parked in the begining of warm up but not while it is moving while using the canbus harness i think the volt is not steady in the begining of warming the car

    • @LightwerkzGlobal
      @LightwerkzGlobal  7 лет назад

      Most likely your ballast then. I would go for the hylux ballast. no issues with these...EVER - www.lightwerkz.net/index.php/components/hid-ballasts/35w-2a88-hylux-canbus-ballasts.html

    • @hdanielle4164
      @hdanielle4164 7 лет назад

      i try plugging the canbus between the OEM harness and the Morimoto Relay and i tried swapping the canbus harnesses from side to side to see if it changes the side that flickers? but no ...the driver side only flickers only while the warming the first 40 seconds then it works

    • @LightwerkzGlobal
      @LightwerkzGlobal  7 лет назад

      You do NOT use the canbus adapters and the relay harness together. Only one or the other. If you use the relay you will get an error code. So you have to use can bus.
