We stayed here about 10 years ago. It's a very nice resort, but what isn't mentioned is that the resort to not in Cancun or even that close. It's located south of Cancun and there's no places you can walk to. You will have to take a bus or taxi to leave the property. Fortunately there is a shuttle bus that funs between all the Palace resorts. So you can take the bus to the Beach Palace which is in Cancun.
And my grandbabies n nieces n nephews truly missed
One of the best places I have visited so far. Staff very helpful and accomodating.

I went to this exact one and did the wave surfer thing it was really fun. My family also did the dolphin discovery thing. I would really reccommend this to people. My family went in June of 2017

1 other point I'll mention is the beach. Unless there's been a lot of work done the beach is not great. It's very narrrow and was not well maintained. But we are not beach people so this was not an issue for us. Also I'm posting about our experiences of 10 years ago, so things could definitely be different now.

The beach at the Moon Palace is nasty. If you enjoy sitting at a pool then this is the place for you. If you want a beautiful beach go to The Beach Palace..there you're find a beautiful beach.

Anybody ever been to the Hard Rock Punta Cana ? We are trying to decide between the Hard Rock and Moon Palace. We are in our 40s bringing a 16 year old with us. Any opinions.
+briannwo1900 The beaches in Punta Cana are to die for and the resort, accommodations and pool areas are beautiful, but the food is not up to par with the Moon Palace. I would choose the Moon Palace.

I can never seem to find any beach pictures for the Moon Palace. Is it that bad?
disneydiva16 the reason you don't find any pictures of the beach; it's because is nothing to brag about. I was there for my honeymoon in 2002 and the seaweed would wash up all over the shore and they didn't do to good of a job cleaning it up. Hopefully things have changed since then; but with all the great pools there and the poolside service; why get in that salty water?

My friend said the beach was HORRIBLE!!! It killed his trip...
The beach is only part of the resort experience, there's the pools, rooms and restaurants, and much more.. Hard to believe it killed his trip.
@@AIResortVideos Well he's like me....we're beach boys!! And I don't wanna travel 5 hours to a "beach destination" to find out that the beach is unswimmable. This hotel might as well be inland then if that's the case!

@@karle0822 yes the Beach palace has a better beach! It’s on a flat part of the beach in Cancun, perfect! And the water is much clearer than this mudhole at moon palace! Some days there are waves though...
