This was easier than I had thought. Thank you so much for saving me money. I will have to be confident more often to do repairs (with a limit) on my own.
Thank you this was the easiest replacement and didn’t cost $200!
Thanks for taking the time to make the simple but great video - Chris (UK)
I like this video, its such a clear view, unlike the others youtube Clouters. Thanks!
Been doing repairs for a while but first time I seen the 'Food Saver' idea. Awesome method for applying equal pressure over an extended period of time!
Great directions - worked perfectly for me.
Best Note 10+ video on how to take the rear cover off on the web, thank you so much! A++++
Easy replacement. Phone works perfectly! Thanks.
Bro thank you so much for making this video. I have been searching for weeks for the same back glass replacement but i couldn't find any safe ones. Until i watch your video and verify that it was legit one.
Where can i buy?
Looks fairly easy. I was going to trade in my phone, they offered $700 for it but, till they saw the back cover, then they would only offer me $400 for it. So $18, I'll give it a shot....
Did you try trading it in after you changed the glass?
@@NapoleonBorn2Party I was going to do it but, on Verizon's site, it showed $18 more on my bill, I got all the way to then end and it changed from $18, to $57 a moth. I was like screw that. I never traded it in...
The phone looks brand new, you could never tell there was damage...
Do you have a suggestion for an affordable heatgun that could work for this? I sadly just cracked mine and don't have a ton of cash was hoping there would be a cheap method to do this. Also thank you for the video it was really good!
Thank you.
Amazing.. but im to nervous lol what should one expect to pay with parts ?? Ball park u think ?? Great vid !
very clearly explained. thank you

Is that the one you bought for the video? I mean the back glass.
Hey I was just wondering wear you got the glass from because I have watched many others and they look plastic but this one looks better.
eBay, make sure you are buying high quality. The high quality ones are a bit more expensive but it’s worth it.
I went ahead and posted some links in the description. Thanks
Same question I was about to ask, thanks
@@MobileRefreshChannel do you have a link for a black back cover?
There is a small rubber part underneath the sensor glass, do not for get to put that on the new back glass. If you don't the glass will press against the camera and the camera won't focus, its a very small part but it needs to be put back on.
Where exactly is that rubber part located? Could you elaborate? Thank you
Do you need a heat gun to melt the adhesive so that it sticks better? I thought a heat gun was needed.
Had a little trouble getting the original broken, cracked back glass off of the phone, because little pieces of glass shards began to pop off as I was removing the old damaged back. But I was able to successfully remove it, eventually. The new one from the link you provided fits perfectly. However, my phone had the white back and I ordered the same, original cover from the link, and its definitely not as white as the original. Has a bit of a grayish cast to it. Not a big deal, though. Still looks fine. Since I'm going to have a protective plastic cover on the back of it, it doesn't really make a difference, as I'm never going to see the color anyway. Thanks again. Very helpful video !!!! 👍
Can you make a link to the tools and the back glass please
Great video. Thanks!
Thank you
Where did you buy the replacement
There is a link in the description
Mobile fresh when you take out the glass and put the new glass is it still ip 68 with the new glass?
No, you no longer have IP68 rating. You will never be able to reseal it like the factory seal, but even the manufacturer will say that they don’t guarantee the water resistance after a year because the seals wear out. So if your phone is over a year old, more than likely it’s no longer ip68 anyways.
I want that waterproof gasket where i can get that..
Question: did you happen to notice if the new glass would hamper the brightness of the flashlight, and do you think it's just how the replacement glass is or a result of the heating device burning the flashlight bulb a bit?
Unless you got a cheap replacement glass or you forgot to remove the protection film from the camera lens, this repair shouldn’t effect the functionality of the flashlight.
@@MobileRefreshChannel Could be a not fully authentic one, but not a deal breaker all onto itself.
Also curious: i notice an ever-so-slight gap on the left and right of the glass. Was wondering if you experienced that with the fully authentic glass you used on note 10+, and if so, does heating up the adhesive on it and then putting some heavy books on it or something resolve such an issue?
If it’s not sitting flush then reheating and applying weight won’t really fix that, could cause the glass to crack if something is preventing it from sitting flush or it’s just that type of glass. Our glass sat flush around the frame.
@@MobileRefreshChannel will it affect the ip68? Or still waterproof?
@@joelrosales1919 it might affect but if you do it properly it should still be water resistance.
Is the Rework Station mandatory? or alcohol and tools are enough? thankyou
Heat makes it easier to separate the adhesive. You don’t have to use a heat gun, even a hair dryer would work it would just take more time.
Thanks 😊 🙏 can ask that if i replace it the phone will stay working under water 💧 😅
My back panel is ok dotless, scratchless but due to phone heating the glue seems to be melt and one side and botton panel are pop up from the body...the phone is under warranty will samsung SC reply the glu ? Or they change the entire panel. I m not interested to change the panel because the imei is printed on the original panel
If the panel is okay then only the adhesive needs to be replaced. You may have another problem though. A lot of times the battery can start inflating causing it to lift up the back glass. Normally the glass should not be popping up on its own. In that case the battery needs to be replaced first.
@@MobileRefreshChannel yes u r right...i visited the SC today and they ordered 2 parts one is the adhesive rework kit and 2nd is the battery due to battery swell. Part is not available so i hv to wait 2-3 more days. Samsung need to work on phone build.
Great tutorial. Sub'd. Thanks for sharing. I didnt see a link to the heat gun u used. Could you please provide one? Thank you
Here is the link: a.co/d/6OeuSA3
@@MobileRefreshChannel thank you
Thanks. I ordered the back glass cover based on your link. I was wondering about one thing. Some other videos I saw regarding the replacement of the back glass showed the individuals using extra adhesive and/or cellphone tape. I notice you did not do that. So I suspect it really isn't necessary to add any extra adhesive then?
Since you are completely replacing the back glass, the new one will have all the adhesive you’ll need.
@@MobileRefreshChannel Thanks ! 😊
How long did he use heat gun for?
You move the heat gun around until the glass it’s almost too hot to touch. No particular amount of time. You can always add more heat if needed.
Does it steel support wireless charging ?
Yes, wireless charging is not affected by replacing the glass.
@@MobileRefreshChannel ok thank you
To the point and informative man. Thanks
Will it be waterproof again?
Hi,interested to know where to purchase the rear housing for the note 10 plus
Amazon
Thanks I've replaced iPhone screens but I got a note 10 plus blue I want to replace it with the aura glow
Can I use a hair blower instead of a heat gun?
Any heat will help. It may take some extra time for it to heat up but it should work
Dziękuję Pomogles
Is it still waterproof after replacement or we would loss its dust and water resistance?
You loose your water resistance when you crack your glass. But yes, after a glass replacement you will not have factory seal for the phone to be IP68 rated again.
Good job.
Can I use a hair dryer instead? I don't got a heat gun
It’s doable with a hairdryer, just need to run it longer to get the glass hot.
@@MobileRefreshChannel yea I did it, broke the glass pretty bad tho, well thats what the replacement is for anyways 🤣
Do you know if the Samsung pay feature is affected by replacing the back?
No it’s not
How much cost on it change the back glass??
It’ll cost you under $20 if you do it yourself.
Can i use hair blower?
Yes you can, just going to take longer to get it hot enough.

Hello, if I change the back cover, can I put the mobile in the water
No I would not recommend it. Even if your glass has not been cracked and replaced I’d still not recommend it if the device is over a year old. The water resistance wears off over time.
But the color is mis marched with the original one..even I have the same problem...I ordered the aura black panel... but the color didn't match with my original panel..
Just a question.. After make this reparation, it still can be used after some water?
Nope. Once the phone is pried open, water will easily enter the phone. So, "avoid submerging phone under water after replacement from this point on ", said Tech repair guy.
Not for two reasons:
1. You should use the original glue that seals the edge.
2. The phone must be added to a Vacuum Coating Machine.
The glass on the back of my Note 10+ is a little far from the body! When I press it, it sticks to the body and no seam remains. Is it possible to separate over time?
Usually it should fit snugly to the frame even without applying firm pressure. There may be something in the way causing it to lift up. The adhesive may hold for sometime but it can get loose if it keeps pushing up the glass. In most cases it’s either some old adhesive left on the frame or the battery could be lifting it up.
Will it still be water resistant?
No it will not be water resistant. Once it cracked it is no longer water resistant anyways. There is no adhesive that’s going to make it factory sealed for it to be water resistant.

Today I noticed my back glass of note 10 plus has started to come off. Glass is like new only (2 year old phone but in brand new like condition).
I think the adhesive is loosing out.
If I get it serviced from authorized samsung service center, will it be water proof? Will they apply water repellent adhesive?
@@chirag_cc Exact same thing happened with my 2 year note 10 plus.
@@MobileRefreshChannel Not even if repaired by Samsung itself?
Same issue, after 2 years of usage the glue is coming off. My phone usually run hot at some moment, I think it affect the glue
I also have this back glass I need to get a new one but I don't know its color nor I can find its color on Internet can you please add r tell me its color sorry I am color blind
Is it Aura Black
Yes, it’s Aura Black.
What about the imi code
The IMEI number is within the setting of the phone, you don’t necessarily need the IMEI to be printed on the back glass.
Hello, will it still be waterproof after the replacement?
No, but it never was waterproof anyways at best it was water resistant. You will never be able to reseal it like the factory seal, but even the manufacturer will say that they don’t guarantee the water resistance after a year because the seals wear out. So if your phone is over a year old, more than likely it’s no longer water resistant anyways.
(this was the creators response to the same question)
Does it still be waterproof safe ?
No, but it never was waterproof anyways at best it was water resistant. You will never be able to reseal it like the factory seal, but even the manufacturer will say that they don’t guarantee the water resistance after a year because the seals wear out. So if your phone is over a year old, more than likely it’s no longer water resistant anyways.
What about water resistance.. does it have any effect once the glass is replaced ?
Unfortunately, it will no longer have the IP86 rating for water resistance. There is no adhesive that will seal it as well as the factory seal, but It will be much more water resistant than when it’s cracked that’s for sure lol.
@@MobileRefreshChannel well that's far from true! There are many additional adhesives that can be used that are even better than what it originally came with.
@@matthewgalano7652 Which ones? are there any ones you recommend
Have this phone still has waterproof?
Maybe... If adhesive was completely cleaned off and reapplied perfectly even around the perimeter and pressed while curing then maybe but I wouldn't test its water resistance after being repaired. Assume it's not anymore
My glass is not broken... But if I put my nail on the side... I can see that the back glass is starting to separate from the phone.. I can see a gap in between the back glass & my phone... What can I do to stick the back glass together to my phone ?
You can purchase adhesive only. Heat the glass just like you would if it was broken and carefully separate it with a plastic card. Clean off the old adhesive on the glass and the housing. Apply new adhesive back on the glass, and now you’ll install it just as if it was a new glass.
Bro,
Same thing happened to me.
I noticed that today.
Same separation when i put nail.
Did you get your phone fixed? How? Charge?
Kindly share details
@@chirag_cc I did it a few months ago... It took 2,000 but the glass which is new is now cracked... Original is still original... But it's only 2000 so I can get it replaced again when ever I feel like.. I got it done in Delhi
@@tdawg440 ok bro...I am from Mumbai.
Samsung ke hi service center se karaya tha kaam?

Pura glass kyu?

What a coincidence.... in my note 10 plus(in that same color) there is exactly same breaking marks .. at that seme place..
Here late at night with all of my dodgy looking tools i got online to replace my phones back cover... damn i dont have a razor blade. Or a heat gun.
Use a hair dryer. Nice thing about replacing a cracked back glass is you don’t have to be too carful about removing it since it’s already cracked. You can do it! 💪🏻
@@MobileRefreshChannel thank you i used the hair dryer and it worked 😆 thanks so much for the video and advice!
I didn't need a heat gun 😂
I just got my phone damaged at the same place

Whoever thought it was a good idea to put a SLIPPERY GLASS BACK on a cell phone should be put out on the street with a cup, selling pencils! Pretty, but stupid -- pretty stupid!
Will it be water resistant again?
No, it will no longer we water resistant.
