I was at the general admission Motley Crue concert November 13th 1987 in Savannah Georgia. The curtains opened on the opening act and here is some dude not 2' away from me in a top hat playing the opening rift to sweet child of mine. That's what I remember from that concert. GnR stole the show.
I dont question Motleys party abilities. But when he slammed a bottle of JD while drumming, it was frickin Ice Tea. I refuse to believe anything else.
I believe that
and i wonder if some dumb kid tried that for real and probably died
@@TeddyxxMexx me too
Nah it was probably real JD. But if you watch, he wore more of it than he actually drank. But still, the Crue were hard partyers back in the day
@@mCblue79 They were, no doubt. They drank alot.
But its not a well kept secret that these particular slams while drumming where most likely Ice Tea. After all, Tommy is probably one of the few remaining people to know what he drank or didnt drink after all. But i'll stick to my theory.
The ole Tea Bag scene
Slash told the story in his book, says he was drinking 3 shots to their 1.
Man, Steve-O hanging out with Tommy Lee has got to be the challenge of his life for his sobriety! The dude was the biggest Crue fan his whole life, then to have the "special" access to be a "part" of his life would have to be tough! I mean who wouldn't want to party with their hero?? Though I'm sure he did party with him in the past, it'd still have to be tempting, and I'd say Tommy is still indulging these days.
Stevo, you should of asked him about the time Phil Anselmo shaved his head.
I'm interested. Do you have a link to a video with the story?
Motley Crue tried to out rock GNR and lost.
I saw both bands in their peak, and G’nR blew the shit out of Motley Crap on record and live.
Smoke/ drink another or hel many more.
The one band would probably kicked your ass as far as partying and drinking would be Pantera... Maybe not the cocaine or the heroine but they would definitely kick your ass in the alcohol department. Especially Dime and Vince!!

debatable 🤔
In slash’s book he says the story did happen however according to him Nikki & Tommy would have only drink one shot whilst ordering two each so he was downing their extra shots that’s why he got so fucked
Nikki's pretty big, so is Tommy, but he's skinny as fuck. Drinking ability is not a skill, it all has to do with weight. I was a bad alcoholic for a while and I could put back a shit ton of beer and booze and I drank every day, was about 240 at my heaviest. I thought I could drink till I drank with my buddy Luke who was almost 300 pounds and this guy could put back an UNGODLY amount. Coming from the guy who claims he drinks 2-1/2 gallons of vodka a day? I’m not saying this story isn’t True but Tommy sure as hell lies a lot.
I've gulped pints and half pints of vodka/rum in one go no bumping coke/speed/etc (have videos). Most of these bands with their half gallon/gallon a day..if you are on coke sure you can get by but no proof.
Lol why isn’t it true? Tommy wasn’t the one throwing up or passed out on the bed so why do you think he’s lying ?
Guys I like Tommy but 2 gallons are 7.5lt of alcohol or 10 bottles of hard liquor you can't drink that. Maybe the biggest alcoholic ever did that for 1 day and it isn't Tommy for sure. Ozzy who outdrink most if not all rockstars said he drank at his peak 4 bottles of hard liquor. Tommy at his 50s couldn't be drinking 10 bottles

They were all drinkers. It just depended on who was in rehab and who was up next for rehab. Living in Hollywood during that time it was nothing for bands to show up and do the Whisky. Girls, drugs and rock. I made it through the 80's without doing drug's. I drank a little but not much. I remember scoring back seat passes and I ran out of that place in horror.
