Now this was MTV... the good old days, you actually wanted to stay home to watch this.
I miss the 80's so much
I was 14 in ‘89 and I’ll never forget the moment I heard Sweet Child o mine for the first time.
Rock and roll
I was 13 and I remember when the VMAs were the show to watch !!
Sad that MTV is no longer MTV and Rock/Metal are irrelevant in today’s mainstream. It was a great time to be alive and witness how fun life was!!
Cuando la musica y Mtv valian la pena!! Extraño esas tardes co amigo que nos juntabamos a ver mtv!! Benditos 8ps y 90s
All those songs are awesome
Wow , wow and re WOWWWWWW !!!!!
Who want MTV like this magical 80's ?
That is so amazing! Metallica deserved the best Heavy Metal video title! Duff & Steven has got class 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Amazing human beings #respect
For real the video for One is iconic, and has a very strong message. It's not just something to look at while listening to some hair metal. Now I like all of those bands, but I guess One is just a harder song to stomach overall instead of Sweet Child of Mine, even though it's a great song, one of GnRs biggest hits. I felt like they stole the win on this one. But props to them for the shoutout. I wonder what Kanye would have said LOL!
from 8O's untill dis year of 2023...still listening to these metal bands..METALLICA especially
Truly golden times!
los mas chingones de esa epoca Metallica, def leppard, guns and roses, Aerosmith
YO ME ACUERDO CUANDO EXISTIA LA MUSICA....
Best era of music ever. Two of my favorite bands right here. Cool clip.
You notice how everyone nominated, we're all badass bands with badass hits? U don't see that anymore and it sucks
Motley Crue, GnR and Arsenio Hall on the same stage? Legends everywhere
You mean, Motley, GnR n Semmi from Coming to America
The Arsenio Hall show was so good

Groundbreaking. Especially for Black artists.
Back before NWA completed wrecking the black stereotype. Bye bye MC Hammer, hello gang-bangers boasting about killing people.....
@@johnbeckwith1361
Said as if white artists throughout history have never written lyrics about killing people.
Nostalgia da porra mano! Só rock do bom essa época!!!!
Thanks Mom and Dad for bringing me into the world to be a teenager in the eighties, the music, movies,etc... What a time to be alive.
Wow !!!Steve Adler was ,still a part of the band !!!!
When MTV was worth watching
I agree of all those nominees, Metallica had the best record. And they were all great. All bands I still listen to but “One” was special. So dark and gritty. They went deep on that one.
Yeah but the award was for the video
One won.
Amazingly, all four nominated bands are still together (somewhat) 30+ years later
I love how even when GnR were nothing Axl and Slash didn't bother to turn up to an MTV ceremony.
Vinnie´s face when saying Gnr, gives me hundred yrs of life HAHHA
Cuánta nostalgia aquellos años gloriosos de buen rock 😭😭😭😭
Two powerhouse bands…nothing on the market now compares!!
Como extraño la buena música de esos tiempos
no internet, no twitter, no mp3 or spotify .. sure we were happier then
Man I mis the 80’s born in 1970….great time tone alive..
Same here i Always say how Awesome the 80s was and i miss it.
O man. Take me back in time just for a day. I miss it sooooo bad!

that was a sick line up for the award. all good videos i grew up to loving.
Y al terminar el acto de Guns, Vince dejó en el piso a Izzy :3
Jajaajajjajjajjjaj así es
Es cierto, asi fue, Vince golpeo a Izzy por tocar a su esposa.
All legendary songs were nominated woooow
Holy fucking Mohamed! Watched this for the first time ever on my Philips 16" CRT 📺 when I was 14 🧑🏻 And I'd like to say even the painted cardboard set behind was authentic at the time! Beautiful memories 🤟🏻😎
Holy moly!! 2022!! I can understand what Vince is saying!!!
Back when talent was required to be in showbiz
