      ...I have also had good results with just free fall return water...as being enough to add the air for the plants....the use of the air stone really just uses up your nutrients water faster as humidity....and you get to buy more of everything...imo...

    Can you please make video on preparing hydroponic fertilizer from solid fertilizers in simple way, like you always do 😊❤️

    • @over60crafter
      @over60crafter  4 года назад

      Hi it would not make sense to make a video on mixing the fertilizer as there are many brands out there and they all should come with mixing instructions for the many various types of fruits and vegetables.Some with all the nutrients needed and some where you would have to add calcium nitrate and magnesium sulfate. If it is a flowering fruit or vegetable then the mixing ratio would increase after the first few weeks. Ask your hydroponic fertilizer provider for mixing instructions if they do not come on the package.Good luck.

      You can use coco coir.If you don't want to use buckets or pumps then you should do a search for the kratky method.I have two videos on the kratky method.The kratky method can also be used for large fruiting vegetables but you would need a bucket or other large container.

    • @over60crafter
      @over60crafter  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Joe,I have only grown large crops such as tomatoes,cucumbers,bell peppers and egg plants in this system and they all do well,I tried cucumbers but due to a Bachac infestation in my yard the cucumber leaves get eaten or then again it could also be due to the iguana.I check my ppm and ph every other day and I only had to adjust the ph when I added the solution the first time.Are your buckets opaque?I painted mines black to avoid algae growth then white because of the heat.I did get a bit of algae at the top which I would show in my dutch bucket update video shortly,just waiting for a couple of the tomatoes to ripen.I do have to top up the solution once a week.

      nts james using perlite only as medium, into paint strainer, into bucket. Watering from top with only a small opening and the water right down into perlite at the top of the stem. I ended up cleaning the system and there was a ton of algae and I also had tried grapefruit seed extract to control it with no success.
