@@ap7713 Modern architecture is not solely about glass structure and glass building are not only build in western world but its a global phenomenon. Independent India has yet to produce significantly great non-temple architecture based on its traditional heritage. Present day Modern buildings priotize simplicity/minimalism, functionality, sustainablity, integration with nature, innovative material, flexiblity and high rise with emphasis on urban context. However, the main thing is we can do all that and it is still possible to integrate it with indian traditional element and expression of india culture and i am all for it. When i say all that i always point to japanese cities and sensiblity and how it looks so modern and culturally rich at the same time but that maybe asking to much from india.

Architecture and design field is even worse than that. And then best talent vanishes to big multinational companies. India is building container boxes. All Indian cities needs to be rebuild but now we can never afford that. Modern Town planning, Landscaping, water harvesting in cities and town is not taken seriously and there are very few that even understand this subject. Every village, town Gram panchayat, Municipality should have SME in these field but India do not produce people with these skillsets and vision. Even the new train station architecture, and all of these station looks mundane boring and like marriage hall or cold storage. And this government attempt to force the local tribal architecture to these building adding to ugliness. Color theory and understanding of which chromatic scale should be used with colors is completely alien to these new modern architects of India. And on top of that adding hundreds of strong lights with laser on building makes it darn ugly and stressful to eyes and soul. Where are these architects coming up with these themes and idea? I know... POLITICIAN! And what did these politician knows about aesthetics? ZERO !! Ugly filthy Copy cats are what they are ... Indian architects !!
