This is a microwave tower. The round things at 12:16 midway up the tower are line of sight microwave antennas. I've been up here a few times in my teens with my brother-in-law as he was the one who maintained the site and did all the troubleshooting. Since the rise of trans canada fiber optics, microwave was deemed obsolete and the all the sites have been abandoned as they were just too costly to operate. If anyone has been past Hope on Highway 5 just past Othello, there's the remains of a checkered red and white tram tower right on the highway. That was a tram going up Mount Jarvis to another abandoned microwave site. The more you know :)

I don’t mean to step-on any answer here, but there are some graphics companies that can scale vinyl (wrap) material for car applications. There was a company in Southern California that did a lot of this for marketing purposes - forget the name, but probably a few ... suggest searching automotive marketing or wraps.
I thought jeeps were trail rated from the factory? Why did he have to put on all the aftermarket stuff? Why the fuck would you buy a “trail rated” vehicle and then make it trail rated after you get rid of the oem parts? Jeeps suck

Didn't realize that the Diesel was 400+ lbs heavier than the 3.6, WOW!!! Would it be more cost effective to start with a Sport S model then do the mods?
I wouldn’t follow the crowd and do an animal decal. You have a STN decal and you had it first. I’d stay with it if it were me. But if you got something else it wouldn’t be a problem since it’s your rig and you do what you want.
The part about "rock was dug out to make room for industrial vehicle traffic many years ago" was interesting. Wonder if there's a way to find out for what and when and add that into the story of the trip?
Was totally unimpressed with the first few Gladiators that I saw, but man, these things look smokin with a 2 inch lift and nice rubber. That's just how they need to look!
Thanks for a great year Shaun. You guys are so lucky with your access, there's no public land in UK. Even the forestry is Crown or private, so no trail riding.
I like the idea for the grizzly in gladiator armour what about a Sasquatch in gladiator armour as you live in the forest and seem to be always in the forest.
I love snow wheeling. Easy trails get sketchy at certain point. We go through a couple in kings canyon and sequoia national park. Stay safe other. Love your format and the music. Its all about the drive and scenery. Live it, love it

There’s enough sun to make solar work in BC maybe 4-5 months of the year
