How can I improve our business? Pushing my staff to give me feedback

  • I’m Cody Romness. I’m a founder and owner of Allegiate, a class-based fitness concept we started in 2017. We have 3 locations in Los Angeles and my goal is to turn Allegiate into a nationwide brand over the next 5 years. I’m doing RUclips to document the journey, get better at telling a story, learn how to talk in front of a camera, and share what I’m working on. I love watching this format with other business owners talking about what they’re doing.
    Bella is our newest studio manager in the South Bay, our most mature location. To get ready for her first day, there was a ton of content she had to get through, then do on shift trainnig, then start working solo shifts. I knew it was a lot of onboarding so about 6 weeks into her job, I asked how I could improve the training materials. And she gave me great feedback.
    After that, we get into:
    onboarding leadership positions and how my most recent hire’s feedback was it was too much
    teaching new sales reps my go-to sales framework
    being asked to be a design partner for a CRM & what they’re asking of me
    telling them about our sales & marketing system
