AWE nothing like good Father Son quality time on the phone with JD At dusk. Hahahha.
Good day just got done watching Millennial Farmer and now waiting for Cleetus.
Looks like we're on the same schedule 😂
@@bsmith4641 Same here hahaha
Hell yeah brother!
I'd love to see Cleetus driving a combine during harvest lol
Same
Shout out to Jean.
Well done Chet.
😢
I say it’s nice to see these young people working at farming with enthusiasm, we need farmers or your refrigerators will be empty. Jean takes good care of Chet.
Doug and Chet enjoy those sunsets and thanks for sharing your farming lives with everyone
Even on a bad day, Doug being out in the field makes him smile. A true farmer. 👍😃
I hope you bring in a high quality and high quanity crop this year.
Your Dad Dougo is a riot!
And Amy...❤
It will get better always a pleasure seeing Dougo and Chet interacting
I grew up in the 50’s. My grandfather bought his farm in 1939. he grew potatoes during WW2 and made money. I didn’t know any better but most farmers were struggling to make a profit. I think barely was about $1.25 per bushel. Most of the equipment was old except for a 1953 Allis Chalmers WD-45. We also had a 1929 Farmall row crop that we used for collecting asparagus which was cut by hand. The trucks were a 1947 International KB7 and a 1949 KB5. We would borrow my grandfathers brother’s 1943 Army truck with a flathead V8 and a grain body. Most of the other farmers were farming with old equipment. After I graduated high school I worked for potato farmers who NEVER took care of anything. The combine would sit in the field all winter right after the last day of harvest. Nothing started on its own. Everything was jump started by the pickup truck. We had 6 trucks which had potato bodies we ran along side a 2 row potato harvester. (In July in the dust). One army truck, 3 stub nose GMC car carriers, and 2 Fords. After college worked for a grain farmer for 10 years. He made some money one year when beans were $9.00 per bushel. He bought a new Case IH 1460 combine. year after year the crops were thinner and the profits were lower.
Farming with new equipment must be a pleasure instead of farming with old worn out equipment. But, I loved it. One Thanksgiving morning we’re going to cut beans until 2:00 and then go home for thanksgiving dinner. About 11:00 the left axle broke on the combine (IH 915). We tried to jack up the combine but all we did was jack the jack into the ground. All of this after high school was to pay my way through college and pay off my loans. After the loans were paid off I retired from farming. i had enough fun. My farming now is Larson Farms, Millennial farmer and Big Tractor Power (Garrett farms) BTW, all John Deere equipment.
Dougo is the main reason I watch this channel 😊
Lol yea at the end where he said sign and thumbs up ❤😂😂

I signed Doug. Thanks for reminding me. It’s tough getting old.
Thanks for another great video Chet and crew.
It was interesting and informative and entertaining.
Sorry you are having issues with your new planter Dougo and Chet. Dougo days the downforce is not correct. John Deere technician coming in the morning to look at it. Hopefully they will get it fixed and working the way you want it.
That new tractor with the big tanks and that new wide planter is beautiful going across the field. Go Dougo!!!!!!
Chet’s setup to refill the planter is a super nice rig. Nice going on that Chet.
You and Dougo can flat plant some acres when everything is working right. Nice setup Dougo and Chet.
Sounds like all the rest of the crew is moving along just fine for the start of planting season. Good going everyone.
Everybody has their lunch buckets ready and filled to get them thru the day. All right.
About it I guess. You all take care and be safe. Thanks for everything.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

Hey guys, just wanna let you know. I really enjoyed the show. Just start watching at the end of your harvest season. can’t wait to see the process of farming. Thanks again keep up the good work.👍
great video
Love the video!
This thumbs up is for Dougo, long day there.
chet when you get a shop day take the band around the bottom of the dolly leg top loose. i cut mine and removed it. you will not have a problem with them if you normaly drop them unloaded. if you do drop with a load just be sure aair is out of bags before dollying down. you will be amazed at the differance in them. was a tip from a trailor shop i trused. im in illinois and had a 43' 96w 78h 2009 tempte. love the vids your dad is a hoot. i can relate with him. 68 yrs just sold my 2004 pete and hopper. hauled organic's from ks and neb back to il .
I have 5 favorite farming youtube channels. #1 Larson Farms & #2 The Millennial Farmer. I am amazed that Larson has so few subscribers compared to Millennial's over 1M. There are so many similarities---dad's involved, main helpers-Jim at Millennial The Swede & Brody at Larson, same equipment, same issues/breakdowns/weather problems, same educating the public, same joking around & having fun, and same great personalities. Larson is at the top of my list because they have at least 2 videos a week. I love that!
Chet Dougo Eric Randy Broodie great job great explanations great work and mach tech at john Deere thank you all.
We call them a driveway in Wisconsin too😊😊
Hope planting is going good for you guys
Always have enjoyed watching planting season with the guys at Larson Farms! Good stuff Chet, thanks for sharing and pray you have a great planting season and a tremendous harvest this fall.
Love the Video's.
Love it
Nice
Signed and thumbs upped 👍☺️
Dougo, Daddy cornstar has been planting corn with the old school planter that you were just talking about, and it's been work out for him!
Any time I get to see the 8RX I’m happy! More of that please lol
Oh the cranking the landing gears never gets easier. I work where they make those shiny tanker trailers. Brody would love how clean and shiny there are when the come outta predelivery pit after i inspect them and wash them all up
Thanks for the sandwiches Jean Marie!
They need to give a 10% discount code for the amount of promotion you do with the amount of viewers you have.
approaches in Nebraska too
Well learn from the issues. You’ll see them again someday. Hope it’s nothing major. Bodie might need a tracker on that lunchbox. 😊
It’s always good to see you chet working hard and the knowledge you have young man it’s outstanding, thank you for taking along with you to the farm good luck with the new planting season and be safe. God bless the Larson family.🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
Luckily, no blood was spilled. Planted ONLY 150 acres, manure happens!
Poor Kibble Guys must love their Customer's at this timebof year. 😊
Yup in the winter nobody wants to talk to them. Spring and fall everyone needs them
Finally out of the shop!!!
Great to see you guys on the protein. Even saw meat in Chets Sammy. Keto is king.
Magnifique tracteur à chenille et le semoirs et le camion et la remorque est bien équipés 😂😮😅😊
Doug ,love your sarcastic wit
Dougo my 12 row 7000 put in 165 acres no flaws. Just to add to your comment on the 7000. But I dont think it could handle your acres.
Dougo is weak from the lack of Steak, Mom!
Your right Dougo, them old 7000 were a great planter.
We thought we had the world by the ass.
Signed and liked.
Make sure power beyond drain is 3/4 in couples had ours do it this year that fixed it
Sign and thumbs up! Stay safe!
7000 series ftw
You guys need to put a small scooter/dirt bike bracket in the implements. That was you can rip home by yourself and you don’t need a pickup and a drop off. Frees other guys up to be doing other things. Also I know fighting equipment equipment all too well, but man what an evening to be out in the field, just you and your son. Very cool
my brother has a hitch on the front of 4 wheeler..
Driveways are to houses/yards. Approaches or entrances are to fields. Atleast around here in manitoba
Down here in Floresville Texas some of the corn I see this week tasking out maize is about 2foot tall an everything could used some more rain .Today temperature is 96 it hot I don't know what it's going to be in July. August temperature.
Dugout the master!!
Called approaches in Nebraska also
Those approaches when your in Texas are called a turn in, we turn into the field while yall approach it LOL.
We started today day was smoth but we run out of fertelizer and we planted today fields that was last last year
Nice sucking up to Jean, Chet. What did you do wrong?? LoL First day: no major breakdowns, no one was hurt. Largely everything worked as expected. Technology SNAFU. After an overnight power cycle it will never repeat itself. Just lurking in the ether. Yall be safe and continue to have fun. Thank you and your cohorts for sharing this part of your life.
I used to have all that fancy stuff. I'm retiring now. I went back to the 4020 with markers. Tell your dad he'll appreciate it!
I use a 4430 and JD 7000 6 row for corn...Dont care what the heck anyone thinks...Gotta replant some tomorrow..Not the planters fault it got wet wet wet in N. Missouri.
So, I missed some things this past winter apparently. It looks like a new corn planter tractor and isn't that a new planter too?
We poured a 4 ft. Wide pad x 1oo ft. Put red die in it for our trailer to set on.the red die in the concrete is to make it easier to see
why don't you use a cordless impact wrench to lift and lower the trailers? it would be easier on you and quicker.
Going to miss deltaforce everyday you run that thing
I signed and thumbs upped
New video let’s go! Best 5pm!
Technology is amazing till it is not. :). Great video.
Step on the row before you dig to check seed. That will be a more realistic depth check after the ground settles
In Wisconsin it's called an entrance Chet!
Dougo we will be done in 4 days later, 3 weeks later
