I am so happy for them as they don't feel right to celebrate Merdeka Day. Malaysia was formed because of Sabah and Sarawak on the 16th September. Can't wait to see what Sabah brings. Hope you can experience it there as well.

technically, Malaysia Day is Sept 16 (which is the usual date for Keretapi Sarong), but for this year it coincides with Maulidur Rasul (Prophet Muhammad’s birthday). so as a gesture of respect, they held it a couple of days earlier (during weekend as well). that being said, I’ve been looking for foreigners’ POV on this event so kudos for sharing this vlog! One thing that I think most Malaysia forget was to support our local Malaysia batik/ songket, not buy a cheap one from Indonesia Hoping that Malaysia aware of this & maybe for foreigners, do a bit research for Malaysia batik
