In this video I show you how much Revenue I've earned through Etsy and how much one print has made me throughout the last 8 months. Taken on the DJI Mavic Mini, it proves that with a little of of knowledge you can use the drone commercially.
I also show you how to replicate the same image on the Mini 2, by showing you my workflow.

You have convinced me the mini 2 is worth it. This was exactly the video I was looking for. Thanks 😊
Did you get one 😮
@@LouisLuzuka got the mini 3 on a deal

Hello! I'm curious as to where you have your photos printed? Sorry if this was covered in the video - I must have missed it. Great video and thanks for the inspiration! Cheers
New subscriber love the mini 2 tutorials!
Wow incredible bro …. Spectacular 👍 thx 🙏
This is so helpful 😮
Was that Adobe Lightroom CC ? Can't believe that you can pull out such results from a drone that small. Wonderful tutorial.
im starting out this looks quite hard to master ill keep watching
All about Practice!
you used lightroom for apps, not the desktop one right? I don't recognize the desk. great job very good
Brilliant tutorial! Need to try this with my mini 2!
So just to clarify, this all needs to be done on an Apple based device?
Noooo, as long as you have a computer that can edit photos you're all good!
Love your work man! Just bought the mini 2 and also have the air 2s. And by seeing this video now I have a new motive to go flying.... just subscribed to your channel because I love your work. Thanks for the video.
great video sir ! how do you print them after all is done ? - do you contract a third party ? cheers ! awesome video man !!!
Going to set up my Etsy store really appreciate your guidance in your vides thanks
No problem Adam! All the best with it mate
Great video, Thanks. As a beginner to photo editing, is there any free software that's as good, or is all the best programs pay or subscription only?
Thanks for sharing with so much detail, could you please create a video of your drone photo settings, please?
0:07 u look so proud... just like you would present your jewels... or a well polished and
very big deck
I can only find Adobe photo shop elements 2021 editor
What one have you got pal
I might practice at the same spot 🙂
Good work! I've learnt so much from your stuff. Quick question, how do you get the print to fit correctly on to the 12x4 on Loxley?
Cheers UAV! You go onto their panoramic sizes and it'll be on the drop down. You can also enter your own custom sizes. 😊
Great video the second imqge is even better in my opinion i hope its doing well for you
Cheers! 😁
RUclips recommended. Brilliant tutorial. Thank you. Once question to start with what aspect ratio did you take the photos in to start with
Hey! Awesome to hear that youtube recommended this video, thanks for your comment! Photo ratio is 4:3, always on 4:3 for the photography 😊
Can I ask, do you just move the drone left or right to be able to stitch the three angles together
Fantastic tutorial, I'll have to give this a try with my Mavic Mini. 😎👍
Thanks! Definitely give it a go
I own some drones and would like to make some money should I get a 104
Those truthful words will hold back many from making any real money these days. “Must be marketed correctly”…
Edit:I’m glad I got a notification for this comment. Couldn’t find it later and wanted to add. “Oh! You have videos on marketing too!” That’s awesome hehe thanks
Haha cheers Aaron! I can only give as much knowledge as I've taught myself, there may be other ways out there, however this is what's worked for me!
Great Content 👍
Great work! I got a Mavic mini 2 and was using it only for videos as I'm a video editor enthusiast... Now trying to get deeper into photos and post-production!
Many thanks for breaking down all the process!!!
Sounds awesome man!
Nice video, video thanks 👍🏻
Hey mate, I really enjoy your channel, ( and the accent ) lol
I often watch drone videos of big cities, most of them look amazing, BUT I also saw many footages of drones just randomly falling from the sky.
So my question is: what are the chances that a drone ( let's Mavic 2-3 ) will just fall without a warning?
Can all that be done in just lightroom?
Thanks for showing your process...very interesting to see. Good luck with your images!
Great video, just got a mini 2 so have subscribed to see what I can learn!
Cheers! Have fun 🤩
Thanks for this. where do you print the photos that you sell on etsy?
I use Loxley Colour in the UK 😁
Thanks! 🙏🏻✨✨
great tutorial. thanks for sharing. did you mention that you were going to advice on correct marketing ?
also i would love to know the company that you entrust to print your work with?
Hi Nathan, thanks! I did indeed, I have those videos on the channel 😊
I actually prefer the 2nd (new image more) thanks for sharing your workflow!
Out of interest are you making any profit from the photos or is the revenue all going into the printing costs? Thanks
Me too man! 🤣 Thank you! Profit averages around 70% per purchase
@@CutLeafProductions well done! Keep up the hard work!
Hey I've really like what you did, and I think the second is better too. Hope it brought you some good cash. I wanted to ask - why didn't you use raw on the Mini 2 ?
😮
Are you using ND filters for your DJI mini 2 when taking photos?
hey dude! this video really caught my interest, do you mind if i email you some photos and could you tell me if they would be worth it to sell?
Awesome video!!!!!
Is it brixham?
What app are you using to make the photos on your etsy listings? The photos of the room with photo hanging on the wall
cool way to make absolutely stunning pictures
Thank you! Cheers!
Can you not slurp your saliva every 2mins?
Fair comment, had that several times and agree to be fair.
Thank you for tutorial, I have learned much!
brill
Do you use a track pad and pen to edit over using a mouse?
Hi Alex, I just use the trackpad
Thanks for sharing your expertise 👍🙏
Hi Great work. I am a novice who just started flying the DJI Mini 2. What editing software do u use? Also to accomplish this should I record ino jpeg + Raw?
Hi, thank you! I use Lightroom & Photoshop. I always use JPEG and RAW, some people like to just use RAW though.
I like your work flow of how to create a manual pano with the Mini 2. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers Ron!
Great video but you need to slow down and explain a bit more. You use shortcut keys but a couple of times don't really explain what you're doing.
Cheers Paul, still learning myself in terms of how I explain things so definitely a great point pal
Did you have any ND filters on? Great work mate
You don’t use ND filters for photography unless doing long exposure. They are used for motion blur in videos. Overrated in my opinion and not necessary.
Hey Ranger, I don't use filters, agree with Davy, Not entirely sure if they'll benefit me, everything I do is in post 😊
I wouldn’t say they are overrated for video as it makes for better viewing.
I do agree you really don’t need them for photography.
Excellent - great tutorial thank you 👍
nice vid thanks a lot mate starting to think i need use more etsy again. have you try sell them on ebay or it dont work there?
Hi Ronald, No problem! Etsy is the #1 go to for starting out to build an audience, the only downside is the fees that take. Ebay etc...I find useless for selling print work. It's either Etsy or Your own website store I think. 😊
Thanks for this useful process. Going to upscale my shots.
Cool. Awesome tips! Thank you for sharing.
I can't figure out how to merge the photos together using the mobile app on my tablet, does anyone know if you can or not ??
Hey man, I'm not sure if you can merge them on Ipad! I know you can use AFFINITY PHOTO.
Which company are you using to fulfil your Etsy prints, if you don’t mind me asking?
Hi Dave, I use Loxley Colour, can't fault them!
@@CutLeafProductions Thanks. Do you get Loxley to ship direct to the customer? What happens if there’s an issue with the print and the customer wants to return it? Just curious how this whole print fulfilment from 3rd party suppliers works as it’s a route I’m thinking of taking after supplying my own prints for years.
Great thanks mate and thanks for sharing 👏👏👌👍
No problem 😊
Great vid, do you have a production partner with Etsy?
Cheers, I don't know, just work it myself.m😊
One question on the picture sales: How long did it take . . . NEVER MIND. I just found your other segment on "How to Set Up Your Etsy store" :)
I learned a bunch of easy but powerful adjustments in Photoshop. Up to now "Selective Color" was just something I saw in the menus on my way to looking for something else. I know up to now I am doing a lot of edits the hard way.
Hi Charlie, Great to hear! Glad the content is helping 😁
awesome mate thanks,
Awesome video thx for sharing 🙂
No problem, thank you!
aren't you pushing colour out of gamut for the printing though
Tbh mate, I didn't know what that meant until I looked it up, but n ow I'm aware of it! I haven't had a problem before with the printing, so hopefully I don't run into any issues down the line.
@@CutLeafProductions look into soft proofing and printer profiles
I like 2nd image more, thanks
Me too!
😍
great content, thanks.
No problem! thanks for watching 😁
Brilliant stuff as usual 😎
Cheers my man 😎
Anyone else hear all of the slurping throughout the video? I didn't notice till my fiance pointed it out lol. Nice video tho!
I did when I watched it back 🤣🤣
Hahahaha yes my wife noticed it too 🤣🤣
Great photos but I found Etsy a waste of time 😪
Cheers, ah that sucks to hear man! It won't be for everyone, I'm sure you'll find your own methods! 😊
Great tutorial, thanks. Question- On the original, how did you approach lining up the rolling waves on the sea, from multiple brackets? Thanks
Hi Mark, to be totally honest, Lightroom did that all for me. Got quite lucky with how that came out 🤣 It usually does a great job at merging images
Great video tutorial. Purchased a mini 2 a few days ago and when searching mini 2 videos on RUclips I noticed your thumbnail and thought, I swear that’s the breakwater!! I live in Paignton and have seen your excellent images on Facebook groups. Small world!
Hey James, cheers mate! Nice to know my videos are popping up on the search engines! 🤣 glad the video helped, have fun getting out there!
Thankyou very much for excellent video's.....Just wondered, what is the legal situation with taking pics of places.....and making money from them.
I only ask because I live in Leicester.....we have a few nice places, but they all have signs saying no drones etc.
I also thought alot of the southwest had similar restrictions.
Keep up the good work and thankyou again
Steve
Hi Steve, so I think as as long as the there are no restrictions as to where you are flying, you can sell the image...obviously don't take a photo of someones back garden and try to sell it...🤣 but for landscapes etc...I think you'll be fine as long as it's not a school, naval college and all that. Basically it comes down to common sense, and if anyone does pull you up on something, just say you didn't know! I haven't had any issues yet, just a few locals who think they're the drone police and want me to take an image down because of jealously. but you just tell those guys to 🖕🤣
Great video. Thanks. You make it look Easy 😉
Cheers Richard! haha thanks, just practice practice practice finding your own workflow
