    My father used to like to take my daughter with him on walks. I allowed it as long as he agreed to use the wrist strap. He promised to use it, but was being deceptive. My step mother fell, and in a panic he went to pick her up. He thought he put the break on the stroller, but didn’t actually have it activated. My 18 month old daughter rolled into a pond. Trapped in the stroller, and completely submerged. She held her breath, and came through unscathed, though very cold. I always use a wrist strap. You never know when you are going to be distracted, or lose consciousness. Fate doesn’t care if you’re using your travel stroller,or your jogging stroller.

    My wife and I have the Donkey and Lynx and absolutely love the smoothness and comfort of the wheels and ride on Bugaboos. You mentioned you werent impressed by the wheels on the butterfly.
    How does the butterfly compare to other premium compact strollers in terms of bumpiness and smoothness? We felt like we could feel the bumps on a flat surface with the Colungo Compact stroller. Thank you in advance.

      This is on my list to buy and try out. I think there are pros and cons to both like all stroller. The main thing I don't like at first glance is how you have to buy everything separately on the Aer+. It does look like a really nice stroller. Hopefully we can get a review for everyone soon!

    Thanks you for the your amazing in-depth review. I have a couple of queries about it regarding using it for new born babies.
    This only comes with car seat adapter with which you can attach any of the Nuna Pipa or lite or air or urbn for a newborn. But most car seats aren’t recommended to be used for more than 2 hrs for new borns due to its semi-upright position (as it may strain on the baby’s still-developing spine or chance of restricted air-flow to the baby’s lungs can increase if a baby falls asleep with their head flopped forward).
    So what options are there for bassist or pram with butterfly for new borns ?

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  3 месяца назад

      Sadly you would need another stroller if using regularly with a new baby. Check out my review of the Joolz Aer+ because you can do a bassinet with that one.

    Great video! Super helpful! Have you tried the Cybex Cloud Z/T car seat? Seems like that car seat can recline when attached to the stroller so that new born babies can stay in there for an extended period of time. Curious to know your opinion!

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  Год назад

      That's a great point! I love the new trend of car seats that recline happening in Europe and am excited to see it make its way to the US. Definitely something that could help in these situations. They still are not entirely flat, so a bassinet or full flat recline will always be better.

      Yes - I am so sorry I missed this. I think you ended up messaging me on Insta, but there are two white buttons on the inside that tip side to side to release it. One side is always easier than the other, so I try and find that one and then I can visually see it for the harder side. I hope this helps!

    • @thestrollermom

      Its okay. Better than the YoYo2 but not as good as some. I would say it's okay and the seat back is nice and tall for toddlers. You should also look at the Aer+, I have been pretty happy with that one seat back as well. It's similar to the Butterfly. I will hopefully have a video soon.

    Does it get scratched easily? There are a lot of complaints on their website about scratches and fabric.

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  9 месяцев назад +1

      It sadly did get some scratches, but honestly that happens with a lot of strollers and wagons. They take a beating, so it depends on how much it bothers you. There are a lot of issues with the seat fabric, but I have seen they will replace it if it becomes an issue. You may want to look at the Joolz Aer as an alternative. I like the fabric on that stroller a little bit more.

      I’ve just sold my Redsbaby Skip (original, I’m in Australia and it’s an Australian brand) to buy the Butterfly because my son outgrew the backrest. But if you’re buying it for a baby, younger toddler I 100% recommend the Skip as a pram in general. We had ours for 4 years and it is top quality and has tons of accessories. It pushes beautifully and held up very well. Also, one of the most impressive things on it is it’s hood. I’ve never seen one come down that far and with the net, it hooks to the bottom of the seat for 100% sun protection and a great napping spot.

    Have you looked at the Uppababy Minu V2 before?! Torn between the Butterfly and that!!

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  Год назад +2

      I have not used the Minu V2 yet but do have experience in the older version. Both the butterfly and the Minu are well made strollers. Minu V2 does not fit in the overhead bin. Is that something you are wanting?

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  Год назад +1

      I should say all overhead bins…the Minu will fit in some!

    • @samanthahalpin8640
      @samanthahalpin8640 Год назад

      The overhead thing isn’t important to me! Some reviews online say the butterfly tips onto its side wheels when on any type of hill, because it’s back wheels are narrower than the front! We went to the store yesterday to try it and going around the corners of the aisles it really did tip a bit 😬you’d have to be conscious of it and correct it. I want my baby to be safe obviously lol but the butterfly is so pretty compared to the Minu! Did you notice any sort of tipping when pushing it around??

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  Год назад +1

      @@samanthahalpin8640 oh dear! I have not experienced that….Even when using the car seat adapters (though I did feel like the stroller was longer than I like). I did try and tip it at one point to test it and I had to really put some force in it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Many people complain about the seat not being ‘flat enough’ for a nap, how old your baby and does she sleep in it? 🩷🩷

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  Год назад +1

      It’s not a full flat recline, but it’s the same as most of its competitors. I would say the Ergobaby Metro has the best recline in this category for naps since it is almost flat. But the Butterfly should be sufficient for most babies and young toddlers.

    • @kewwikiwi
      @kewwikiwi Год назад +1

      We used the butterfly exclusively on a 3 week trip with our 7 month old and he slept in it every day for 2-3 naps a day! It was great.
