Bravo! You have simplified the easiest luthiers knot! I enjoy the proper style videos begins here. Great filming the voice quality, and knowledgeable of topic! Again great job,but more important? It is a knot? Oh yea, used your methods and they are right in line!
Wow, thank you very much! That really means a lot! Really does! Glad it worked well for you and is holding up nicely! I have really enjoyed this technique!
I'm considering trying this out, but I'm wuite skeptical in term of your method having enough string length to ensure that the thinner strings won't slip out, do you really dont give any bit of slack on all strings? Anyways looks interesting, might try it out when i have to change strings
You can leave more slack if you like but if will take longer to stretch out the strings. For best results leaving no slack is the way to go. I have never had a string slip if that helps.
Absolutely glad to help! If you want to know how to keep the strings from slipping be sure to watch the 2nd part. Great trick when you need to play immediately after changing strings. ruclips.net/video/Qp9CnMbm5CY/видео.html
No this really works. I can do this to a guitar along with the techniques from the part two video and the guitar will stay in tune without breaking in the strings. I do it when I go and play in studio. Works wonders. This way the guitar will have the best sound it possibly can have. Stays in tune without every playing them to break them in. It's a trick guitar techs use for the Nashville artists.
Sorry for being harsh on you. But I went ahead and actually tried it on one of my acoustics and it doesn't work for me and just seems to make the whole process even harder. I've been playing for 30 years and can string in every style just hadn't seen that one yet and don't understand why it's necessary that's all. No hard feelings
No not all :) I'm sorry it didn't work for you. I haven't heard it not working before. That intrigues me. What kind of strings are you using? Did you watch the 2nd video to make sure the strings are stretched and they stay in tune?
Seems way more difficult than other ways to do it I’ve seen that are just as effective. I mean your video demonstration isn’t exactly smooth and encouraging.
haha! Well when I did this It was still a new concept. the more you do them the easier it is. I can do it with ease now. You are right there are various ways to do this. This has been my favorite so far. I can throw new strings on without getting out of tune. Works great for studio or gigs. AMAZING. Good things come with hard work haha!
I'm sorry you don't like it. Do you have a way you enjoy to do it? if so I would always love to know a different approach. I love this way and so do my students. Takes some getting used to but works wonders
No it's fine everyone can have an opinion haha! If you can tell me what you do not like I can make some adjustments. Always wanting to be a better teacher! This technique can be hard for people to do especially if you are new to it and if you are working a camera at the same time like me haha! So if you feel discouraged trying this just know you are not alone! If you would like a better style of instruction i recommend the website. The videos are much more specific and the one on one is a game changer. Only so much we can learn with RUclips videos.
You did that the hard way mate!!
There are various ways to do this. I would love to know your take on it especially if there is an easier way. Could you do a video please?

It has been a technique I have loved for years! Always has been great but there are many ways to do this.
Hey, thanks for letting me knoe
Absolutely glad to help!
If you like stuff like this and want WAY more head over to the site.
That's not a Luthiers knot.
It actually is. I know several luthiers that use this knot. There are a LOT of ways to do this. Sooo many options :)
thank you
You are most welcome!!!! Glad to help!
Be sure to watch the part two at the end of this video to make sure the strings do not stretch. It will really help them to stay locked in
Awesome! Appreciate it 👌🏻💯
