I just got an used D300 and thought the lens or de camera had a problem. I took off and put on the lens and it worked fine :). But maybe give a clean to the contacts will help, yes?

Wow, I've wasted so much time making out-of-focus yoga videos, I couldn't figure out what settings would help when recording myself moving. This is the first video to suggest taking the lens off and so far it's working. Thank you!

I have d5600 nikon camera and my lens don't have the AF switch...😭 my camera suddenly wont focus I havent used it in a while. I tried removing the lens but it still wont focus, even the manual focus ring on the lens dont work.. I already set the camera on manual focus. I cant go out easily because of corona to get some help and I need the camera :(
With the d5600 the lens definitely
Should had an AF switch. Unless you’re using an aftermarket lens not made by Nikon or a reputable brand.

mine has trouble when i try to focus on a aircraft in the sky. or on the moon when its not quite dark yet. any ideas?

Hey my camera focus doesn’t work at all. When i do open my camera it says from example F3.5 for few seconds like 5-10 seconds after that it shows F - - Please i need help i’m not sure if it’s with camera or lens

What if the focus comes and goes as I move . I film myself in videos and the video blurry in parts because the focus is not saying in place

I'm so silly. Just watching this I realized that I was filming in manual instead of movie mode on my Canon M50 and that made the blurry difference. As soon as I put it back in Movie mode it focused. So does that mean set what I want in manual and then switch it to movie mode to film? That's what I got from that but not certain if it is so. OR, when in movie mode it just sets itself except for the aperture? I'm getting old and can't retain info like I used to LOL. I just wish I had an expert to come and one on one show me everything on both of my Canons. The dslr is easier to work actually.

Hello i face same problem here now, i have Nikon D3300 18-55, my Focus ring not working, i remove my lens and fix again, my lens no have on off button, i try 3 time remove and fix again but my lens focus ring not working, how can i fix it?????
Your camera will have the AF switch. Have you tried that?

If i took pic on manula focus it works but if i switch to auto focus it continuously focus in and out but not focus object it turns to blur everything even it not take picture continuously it focus in out in out solution plz
Check if your autofocus setting is set to AF-S, AF-C or AF-F.
AF-S (or SINGLE) will tell the lens to stop trying to refocus after it's caught focus already.

Bruh while using air blower i just touched a bit at my image sensor with it i mean i messed up a lil bit leaving small pŕint of blower and my new lens aint even focusing accurately nor old one did i am using 80d whats the solution for it 🥺

It really depends. But in most cases it’s the AF switch on the lens or camera.

check the tiny wheel on the viewfinder if that where it seems out of focus.
