DON'T THINK ZONES IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS MODEL AS IT LACKS THIS CAPABILITY. I believe that I understand how you were able to get zones through the app. In watching your video again I couldn't help but notice that you selected 'Yes' when you setup the app and were prompted with the question- "Is your robot a Shark Self-Empty?" You selected 'yes' when in fact you should have selected 'no' because you are using an IQ version, not an AI version. This would also mean that even though you were trying to distinguish zones on the app, the vacuum itself would not be able to execute those commands because it is not using Lidar or Laser Guided navigation systems. Please correct if you feel I has assessed this incorrectly. I did speak to Shark customer service directly because I was considering purchasing this vacuum, and they have told me that zones 'is not' available for this model.
Good catch! Weird that it let me setup and recognize the vacuum! I must of had the AI on my mind as I also reviewed that vacuum... video coming next week :)
Could you please show the maintenance/maintenance schedule of the vacuum? I'd also like to know where to go to buy replacement parts! Lastly, I wish these channels would discuss any potential safety concerns customers might need to consider if they care. 👍🏾Overall, great video, so thorough! I'll be back for more
I just bought a Shark AV1010AE IQ Robot Vacuum with XL Self-Empty for my wife and set it up a couple of days ago. So far she is happy with its cleaning even if our hounds hair has plugged the dust bin a couple of times... Lol This was expected as she also beat our Dyson. But my question is why is the shark I perched only have a right side brush there is no left brush option, I have watched a lot of reviews of this model and every one has 2 side brushes I just wonder if this is some thing new for this model since the manual shows only one brush in the directions. other than that it dose clean.
No it just has one motor manual even states one? Shark IQ Robot Self - Empty XL Robot Vacuum AV101o AE Series The add on Amazon showed 2 brushes I just wonder if this was a new modification. 👍 I don't know. It still cleans pretty good still choking on dog hair but like I said even our Dyson has a problem with this, but with daily sweeps seems to be beating this problem quickly we have only had this for 3 days now. @@DigitalDavid
Yes it must be?? I do have to say after a few days and we got the magnetic strips put down so it stopped getting stuck on things, it dose a great job keeping the floors clean plus our Cat just loves it. Every time it goes out to clean its party time to him.nnWho needs cat toys to keep him happy. Lol 😂@@billyscarbrough
I am not sure, if I were you I would reach out to Shark support and check with them as they should be able to be more helpful. Here is a link to do that: support.sharkclean.com/hc/en-us I hope this helps! cnl
When you start vacuuming, on the main robot screen you’ll get a button that says “mode.” When you click it, it’ll give you the options for the suction levels. ~B
@@DigitalDavid Yes….I found it on the App as the Robot leaves the Dock. The funny thing, I called Customer Service for them, and they told me it Could NOT be changed. They said, it is what it is. 😂👍💯
Thanks, but the fact that the inflection in your voice raises at the end of every.....single....sentence.... is maddening. Could barely make it half way.

Amazon has replacement parts.
Excellent video review!
Thank you kindly!
Which is the higher end model, the Matrix 2310 or the IQ 1010?

I'm not sure why yours would only have one side brush. Is there a spot to put another one?

@@kirktennyson612 I just bought mine on Black Friday and also only has one brush. Was wondering the same thing, but must be some revision.

I Don't know why there is only one, Same thing with mine.
it sounds good!!
what voltage can be available??
100240 Volts
~B
It depends on the version of shark you got if it has one or two front brushes.
Thanks for the comment! -MB
So I don’t need the magnetic strips to set up boundaries ?
No it can be done virtually within the mobile app!
How do I get this robot to vacuum one specific room only?
It is not that smart unless it has had an update since our video!
@@DigitalDavid I figured it out.
My app looks completely different. It won't even find my vacuum.. it's been a huge pain
Really? I'm sorry to hear that! Are you sure you downloaded the correct app? There are multiple brands that use different apps!
~B
Mine only has one side brush and the one in the photo has two. Why is that?
It should have 2. If yours does not, we recommend contacting the brand directly! -MB
@@DigitalDavid , It only came with one brush the bot doesn't have anyplace to put a 2nd one..
My model came with only one brush as well. I think there are a few different variants out there depending on where you buy it.
it normal to feel very little exhaust air coming out of the vacuum while it is cleaning? It seems to be working but very little exhaust air comes out.

Yes. Mine seems to be cleaning just fine and there’s not that much. I think it must be efficient.
🛑🛑 How do you increase and decrease the vacuum mode??
I’m not seeing the switch within the app??

whats under the big sticker on the base unit?
Nothing???
I had a Shark robot vac and it was terrible.
