Interesting spot. Never thought of the BLM land near KOFA.
It runs just adjacent to Kofa and offers a lot of dispersed camping as well.
I’m not an expert on poop but as long as you make sufficient noise, you shouldn’t have to worry about anything coming up on you unexpectedly. I’m mostly concerned with running into bulls and javelinas when I go out on hikes but those you can see from a distance. Scenery is incredible where you are at! It looks cold though. Happy New Year to you, Anthony! Don’t forget to plan a trip to that spot we were talking about 🤫.

Interesting. When we camped in Kofa earlier this year we had some high winds also
What a great adventure! That walk up the hill when you came across the scat reminded me to always carry a med kit (not just for Boo-boos) and a big-ass can or two of OC spray.

Thanks! Yes, I carry a kit in my boxes, but probably need to check and update it.
@@AZOverland2017 You might consider carrying a kit on your belt in case something happens a good distance away from your boxes. Sometimes, seconds matter and running back to the truck might not be an option.
