I've been teaching some friends to play this game. They asked what careers and weapons are strongest, and I said "Just use what you think is fun, and we'll make it work." We're not the strongest team, but yeah it's been FUN.
Yea I'd say it's best to use what one is comfortable with because that player will maximize the character/weapons they are running. It's definitely not all about being the strongest for sure.
usually, just someone who can dedicate special killing (like Way stalker, Huntsman, etc.) is required to help make a team really easy sailing. That's at least what's missing a lot easy access to special killing since being forced to reposition under pressure isn't easy to juggle at the start

Every char actually has a reason to exist. They all work perfectly fine up to cataclysm. Skill is by far the most important factor in this game. Sure some chars are more meta than others but they all work fine.
This is ironically a good video about how dealing damage is not everything. I would never touch pyromancer or engineer compared to foot knight but they are way better damage dealers
this might get lost in the comments, but I absolutely love the perk that gives the effect of every potion on grail knight's double stab!!! You pop the potion, and your two swings absolutely SHRED a monster, then the concentration effect will give you a SECOND normal double stab to do about 75% of a monster's health in the span of 5 seconds on legend difficuly, and the only thing you need to do it is one measely speed potion. Absolutely my favorite career, +500 points for having bretonnian longsword
Hey, take the talent that gives you STR potions for killing enemies, you basically have potions 100% of the time, its pretty broken with that ring perk :)
Tbh that's just busted (just like old shade was / still is to some extent) but why would you not take a concentration potion instead and get the ability to bust multiple monsters in a row.
No no no, it's not JUST that the Engineer can carry 11 Trollhammer Torpedos, but since he has infinate ammo on the minigun and a talent that gurentees a ranged crit, you can get a FREE TORPEDO if you set it up. But yeah, while I love the class he really does embody Glass Cannon. You can kill the entire hoard solo just to lose 50% of your health to a single slave rat that snuck up behind you.
Something people forget about the handmaiden... you can stack up to 90% attack speed. Usually quite hard to beat the damage and effectiveness on the team from that
I cannot tell you how happy your assessment of slayer makes me lol, I run 2h axe + 2h hammer as well. And yes, he's a powerhouse. Once you learn to deal with specials in melee, he is practically unstoppable
I agree with the tier list, except for the elf mage, for me it deserves the A tier, because I think it's poisonous, transforms it into a huge wave cleaner
I have been playing with griffin pistol ever since I picked bh and while its extremely fun to play as, its not very fun to play with since it clears waves so well that your team doesn't get to do much, also robs the thp . But damage wise its really insane
To be honest Shade and Bounty are S tier in tearm of dmg if you play it right. Pyro its A tier even if you play it good. its fun real fun to play but its A tier at most
battle wizard is probably the class i hate playing the most like when i reached lvl 30 with sienna i was like ''yay i never have to play this charackter again'' my favorites are shade and slayer
What is Handmaiden doing all the way down there? She runs 45 AS% before Swift Slaying and infinite Stamina for push attacks. Her Monster damage is on par or above slayer if you're using the Javelin Melee. Also she's the best Javelin user by a longshot. Her innate AS (Which should easily be at 45% during dead time, the stacks don't expire) makes reloading the Javs incredibly fast. Heck, if you want to get stupid her Ult can be spec'd for even more damage. Just nobody uses it because she already has ridiculous damage and most people would rather have the utility at that point.
Having played a lot of waystalker and huntsman recently in my quest to play through all the maps with each class, id argure waystalker is a way better dps than huntsman. Theres just no contest. Waystalker can actually use her ranged weapon almost all mission, while huntsman needs to consistently head shot to not run out of ammo will always be lagging behind. Theres just no keeping up with some one who doesnt need to worry about ammo and headshots
Dope video. aces. I've been playing for years and my top classes are Pyro and Bounty hunter and you buried them lol, but it was an interesting angle. To measure only damage, which, if one is skilled; is probably the biggest factor after a player's skill level and now I see that I clearly need to make the switch to battle wizard, or perhaps alternate. OH! however, you forgot to mention that PYRO gets 100% cooldown refund on her special ability if it Crits, which is QUIte often does. with trinkets and weapon its actually like 60%. My personal record is 8 consecutive specials. It clears out the entire area as far as you can see and beyond, looks like that scene in the Mummy. anyway, awesome video, I just subscribed. 😅🤣😁
I agree with everything on this list, but I would move Waystalker up a tier. Elf melee weapons are great, and so are her ranged options. The unlimited ammo is limited only by using her ult to clear multiple elites or specials at a time at a time. Prenerf, I'd say A tier, but for now B.
Agreed, her with the right talent build and a swift bow is essentially an elf running around with a 100 round bow shaped smg that reloads on F. She can almost be an outcast engineer with slightly less damage, but way more mobility.
Armor Piercing Slugs for Outcast Engineer also gives you double explosions from Troll Hammer Torpedo when piercing an enemy(so it has to hit them dead on). Though the second explosion might not land near the first target to double up on damage, it will nuke whatever is behind them.
Seeing a hagstalker at C tier is big weird. You can melt bosses with barrage and quickshots ( quickshots deal 3 times more damage because you can stack the dots way faster and with speed potion you are top 3 monster killer). One of my strongest builds is double dagger / hagbane for some cata runs with more horde deed.
Yea this has been the biggest feedback I’ve seen from people. I suppose I was thinking of how she tends to be limited by her role as the go to special sniper. I don’t know if I’d change it looking back, but I think people saying b tier for her is reasonable.
@@WetMagic i would put her on in A-tier. Most people dont use the bloodshot on hagbane properly. After you have killed 1 enemy do push attack dodge back - now comes the important part - jump and shoot at the second row of the enemies. The shot at the second row will also stagger the first row but since it is a dot which spreads in a circle you will hit 30% more enemies with your dot. If you only shoot at the first row the dot will be only applied on the enemies left, right and behind the target. So you will loose a lot of damage potential if you dont jump and shoot at the second enemy row. And as i said quickshots on monster will increase the damage dealt massivly, most players are doing charged shots, but with charged shots you loose many dot stacks on the monster.
If you run flaming flail & coruscation staff with the lvl 30 talent that makes skellies spread flame dot to enemies they hit, you can solo basically everything. Tho you'll be stealing all the kills, thp, and ability to see from your teammates if you use that w other ppl

Ironbreaker is a little incorrect, with a strength pot and shrapnel 2 mags of a pistol will do over a quarter of a cataclysm bosses health in about 10 seconds and half of a legend boss. The pistol alone raises all bardin classes (except slayer) above D tier if not above C.
Waystalker s&d is pretty op and allows her to kill pretty much everything with little difficulty and if you land your headshots with the longbow, which is quite easy with the zoom, nothing stands a chance. Special killing is not her only job. Easy A.
A bw usually shows high damage on maps, but does not always take first place, especially if these are maps from DLC where the number of elites can be one and a half to two times more than on the maps of Helmgart.
Human error is the vastly strongest influence of your experience here. Your rating only says what you are comfortable using vs what you struggle with or still figuring out a way to fill the role you need fill will with a particular class.

Skipped to S to see if it was BW after playing with one yesterday who would simply hit all enemies with 1 tick of damage, then run right past them, ignoring nearly all of the game yet still having having better damage, kills etc than the entire rest of the team combined, because we couldn't really play the game
Shade above MWorks Ranger? Shade above critbuild Handmaiden? Hard disagree there. Maybe I just hate the class after CoM was removed instead of getting nerfed, but imo, she just doesn't have the DPS source outside of backstab gimmicks, which forces her to go out of position with the team and puts her in great danger.
I’d argue shade can match rv in monster damage with a couple of her weapons and setups. Whereas rv can really only do big monster damage with the pistol. Shade doesn’t have to be out of position either, but people do be playing my girl wrong sometimes. Speaking of being out of position that’s basically what happens every time when you dash into a horde to proc power from pain. It’s good against infantry and berserkers, but it’s not an earth shattering setup or anything. Definitely can’t do any serious monster damage.
@@WetMagic Power from Pain doesn't require you to dive inside the horde, just surf the edges while blocking or block-cancel at 1st line of mobs. Not really that dangerous. The only raw dps source I see remaining for Shade is a Headshot +% talent. But even that requires some effort. While PfP Handmaiden requires no real effort, just raw dps in it's purest form(like CoM Shade playstyle was). After CoM was removed, i'm consistently scoring higher total damage output with HM than with Shade, which given HM's wide variety of defensive perks seems ridiculous to me. Obviously, a full DPS HM build (attack speed/crits/etc) And dont get me started on Blur, using that thing with 100 ping is a death sentence. Guess I'm really developing a hate for how unwieldy and "one trick pony" Shade feels after rework. And she was one of my mains before one. ugh. as for MW RV - he obliterates monsters, elites, berserkers - even Super Armor gets in trouble if you Ulti.
Waystalker C tier? every game i play with waystalker in team elf player does 10k more damage then anyone else because infinite ammo + oneshot elite packs button like, seriously she falls off on cata breakpoints but she still has crazy ranged damage
To be noted even fk and ib can easily top damage the game is pretty well balanced sure a grail knight gonna have an easier time getting most damage but rust me a ib can get it if you know what your doing
me when i see him call foot knight a below average horde clearer whilst i'm in the corner using a warhammer and making hordes absolute jokes with infinite hp with the thp on stagger skill point and dealing with speacials pretty well with the gun that spins i forgot the name lmfao: i agree with most of the rest though.
dont really agree on waystalker... with longbow up until cata I can basically kill all elites and specials before other careers even have a chance to kill them and with spear she even has great horde clear
Waystalker is highly debatable, but then again, a Tier List is totally opinion-based. I know Wet doesn't like Hagbane, but it's probably the highest DPS build on her and that alone would bump the class to at least A-tier when played properly. In fact, you can see around 7:30 the monster HP getting deleted by the DoT haha

If you’re referring to his ablative armor talent, if you take that you have 25% damage reduction until you get hit that is. He’s also got 100 base health which is the lowest possible. Yes he can bring a shield, but with no extra bcr or stamina regen talents you can’t exactly tank properly with it. His lack of mobility and constant need to crank his gun cause him to get hit alot as well. He’s basically needs to be protected at all times.
@@WetMagic On full book legend runs, where base health is too low, he is probably a glass cannon. My lowest difficulty is Cataclysm, and Sometimes i get lazy with outcast engineer on Cata, and just shieldbash most of the game. only pulling out minigun and torpedos when needed. I can eat a few hits no problem as the temp HP from shieldbashing is great. I find myself frontline tanking, and also saving teamates allot as the torpedo +shield is good for that. Outcast engineer does take skill to use as you are very vulnurable when cranking or shooting minigun. I agree that it is a high DPS class if used properly.
This whole game is straight up 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and I only picked it up for 11 dollars and just also picked up the dlc warrior priest for 10 bucks cuz I had to have it and wow what an amazing video game 10/10. From You playing offline Solo and upgrading your characters so you can use them as bots and fight on offline gameplay and depending on the level of your hero also depends on how long they're going to last in a battlefield which is freaking amazing.

Is Waystalker just good at Legend and lower difficulties? I've got friends who use her and are just consistently 1.5-2x the damage of the 2nd highest damage dealer in the party.
Waystalker is being played on all difficulties succesfully, even on modded. Either Longbow for special/elite or Hagabane for huge stagger/boss/horde/elite clear :D shes a monster in the right hands
"You're not always going to be able to hit that headshot" True; But 99/100 shots is still 99 out of a 100 shots. You're undervaluing a lot of the classes with what amounts to straight up skill issue

bountyhunter is secretly the best, tho you are building him wrong, try volley and talents that reload ammo with melee kills and the one that resets your crits with melee kills, is totally S Tier that way.
Id go as far as to say that ironbreaker with cog hammer and trollhammer should be put in a diff category than foot knight. Theres just no way they can both be placed in the same bracket. Footknight should in F tier, hands down shitty dmg.
On the contrary I find his need for learning to dodge specials fun, makes topping specials killed in a lobby with multiple special sniper careers feel even more badass when you gotta dodge em and get em in melee
Waystalker should be S tier, hagabane is too strong. Shreds hordes/elites/bosses/specials, stagger for days, the bow is amazing even on Modded difficulties, which says a lot. The only thing she needs to use melee for are CWs, which is no issue, or just ult them. The only time i am not playing Hagabane is with IB in team to not proc his passive all the time, but than IB has Trollhamer, making him the best DPS in the game atm, with conservative shooter, he has infinite ammo, damage for days etc.
Thanks for reminding me they removed the single most fun thing Waystalker had. I really don't get why they removed the double ult bloodshot, whey Bounty Hunter can ult 10 times in 5 seconds with a purple pot and kill wirtualy any enemy in the game that doesn't have invincibility phase...but waystalker can kill 1 wave of rats with her ult ? How dare she ! Back to lame auto-lock for 3 enemies it goes ! Absolute tone-deaf change, she wasn't super strong before, now she legit feels like she has nothing strong going on for her...
I actually disagree alot with IB being D tier, if you mainly focus on damage based talents and give him a greathammer, he is gonna hit like a freaking truck. Not saying he is A tier, but he is not a D tier.

I think Unchained 133222 with Flail + Flameweave staff is S tier also able to do 20-25k dmg on basic legendary runs.
Meanwhile, I often have the highest damage of the entire team as IB (if BW is not on the team). :-D

Skipped to S to see if it was BW after playing with one yesterday who would simply hit all enemies with 1 tick of damage, then run right past them, ignoring nearly all of the game yet still having having better damage, kills etc than the entire rest of the team combined, because we couldn't really play the game

Hard disagree there. Maybe I just hate the class after CoM was removed instead of getting nerfed, but imo, she just doesn't have the DPS source outside of backstab gimmicks, which forces her to go out of position with the team and puts her in great danger.
I’d argue shade can match rv in monster damage with a couple of her weapons and setups. Whereas rv can really only do big monster damage with the pistol. Shade doesn’t have to be out of position either, but people do be playing my girl wrong sometimes.
Speaking of being out of position that’s basically what happens every time when you dash into a horde to proc power from pain. It’s good against infantry and berserkers, but it’s not an earth shattering setup or anything. Definitely can’t do any serious monster damage.
@@WetMagic Power from Pain doesn't require you to dive inside the horde, just surf the edges while blocking or block-cancel at 1st line of mobs. Not really that dangerous.
The only raw dps source I see remaining for Shade is a Headshot +% talent. But even that requires some effort. While PfP Handmaiden requires no real effort, just raw dps in it's purest form(like CoM Shade playstyle was). After CoM was removed, i'm consistently scoring higher total damage output with HM than with Shade, which given HM's wide variety of defensive perks seems ridiculous to me. Obviously, a full DPS HM build (attack speed/crits/etc)
And dont get me started on Blur, using that thing with 100 ping is a death sentence. Guess I'm really developing a hate for how unwieldy and "one trick pony" Shade feels after rework. And she was one of my mains before one. ugh.
as for MW RV - he obliterates monsters, elites, berserkers - even Super Armor gets in trouble if you Ulti.
I miss having Famished Flames and Lingering Flames at the same time.

every game i play with waystalker in team elf player does 10k more damage then anyone else because infinite ammo + oneshot elite packs button
like, seriously she falls off on cata breakpoints but she still has crazy ranged damage
To be noted even fk and ib can easily top damage the game is pretty well balanced sure a grail knight gonna have an easier time getting most damage but rust me a ib can get it if you know what your doing

dont really agree on waystalker... with longbow up until cata I can basically kill all elites and specials before other careers even have a chance to kill them and with spear she even has great horde clear
Waystalker is highly debatable, but then again, a Tier List is totally opinion-based. I know Wet doesn't like Hagbane, but it's probably the highest DPS build on her and that alone would bump the class to at least A-tier when played properly. In fact, you can see around 7:30 the monster HP getting deleted by the DoT haha
@@1porp Hagstalker is S tier by herself, its such a huge dmg, even on Modded difficuties shes a monster, Official realm is nothing to her.

if this was based purely on damage BH, Manbow Huntsman, and Barrage Hagbane waystalker should have been way uptiered. other than that i can agree
Outcast Engineer is not a glass cannon, lol. He has 30% damage resist, and with a shield is a good frontliner, lol. Staggers monks and heavy armor.
If you’re referring to his ablative armor talent, if you take that you have 25% damage reduction until you get hit that is. He’s also got 100 base health which is the lowest possible. Yes he can bring a shield, but with no extra bcr or stamina regen talents you can’t exactly tank properly with it. His lack of mobility and constant need to crank his gun cause him to get hit alot as well. He’s basically needs to be protected at all times.
@@WetMagic On full book legend runs, where base health is too low, he is probably a glass cannon. My lowest difficulty is Cataclysm, and Sometimes i get lazy with outcast engineer on Cata, and just shieldbash most of the game. only pulling out minigun and torpedos when needed. I can eat a few hits no problem as the temp HP from shieldbashing is great. I find myself frontline tanking, and also saving teamates allot as the torpedo +shield is good for that. Outcast engineer does take skill to use as you are very vulnurable when cranking or shooting minigun. I agree that it is a high DPS class if used properly.

This whole game is straight up 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and I only picked it up for 11 dollars and just also picked up the dlc warrior priest for 10 bucks cuz I had to have it and wow what an amazing video game 10/10. From You playing offline Solo and upgrading your characters so you can use them as bots and fight on offline gameplay and depending on the level of your hero also depends on how long they're going to last in a battlefield which is freaking amazing.

I almost always play waystalker because I suck at melee but I've been playing FPS competitively for a decade so the choice is kind of obvious.

Waystalker is being played on all difficulties succesfully, even on modded. Either Longbow for special/elite or Hagabane for huge stagger/boss/horde/elite clear :D shes a monster in the right hands

Id go as far as to say that ironbreaker with cog hammer and trollhammer should be put in a diff category than foot knight. Theres just no way they can both be placed in the same bracket. Footknight should in F tier, hands down shitty dmg.

On the contrary I find his need for learning to dodge specials fun, makes topping specials killed in a lobby with multiple special sniper careers feel even more badass when you gotta dodge em and get em in melee

Waystalker should be S tier, hagabane is too strong. Shreds hordes/elites/bosses/specials, stagger for days, the bow is amazing even on Modded difficulties, which says a lot. The only thing she needs to use melee for are CWs, which is no issue, or just ult them. The only time i am not playing Hagabane is with IB in team to not proc his passive all the time, but than IB has Trollhamer, making him the best DPS in the game atm, with conservative shooter, he has infinite ammo, damage for days etc.

Thanks for reminding me they removed the single most fun thing Waystalker had. I really don't get why they removed the double ult bloodshot, whey Bounty Hunter can ult 10 times in 5 seconds with a purple pot and kill wirtualy any enemy in the game that doesn't have invincibility phase...but waystalker can kill 1 wave of rats with her ult ? How dare she ! Back to lame auto-lock for 3 enemies it goes !

I actually disagree alot with IB being D tier, if you mainly focus on damage based talents and give him a greathammer, he is gonna hit like a freaking truck. Not saying he is A tier, but he is not a D tier.
