    Its time that NZ cricket gets the respect it deserves . Props to O Brien for being the only one to call it right yesterday
    . Consistency, perisistence , teamwork, great attitude.
    The NZ commentary has been top notch. Neutral , analytical, insightful..

    YOUNG is the modern day Coney : not a great at domestic level, but born to play test cricket .
    Young AND Williamson play at home, and as u only need one spinner ( Patel ), Phillips drops out, and Ravindra, Mitchell,
    Blundell drop down a slot . ( Blundell performs at 7, not 6. ) :

    • @almac9203
      @almac9203 2 дня назад +1

      They aren't selecting Patel over Phillips. Phillips is a proper batter. Since spinners don't do much in NZ conditions you may as well choose one that can bat.

    • @cg_2k72
      @cg_2k72 2 дня назад

      That's a really bad take... NZ are going to play with 4 seamers at home. Phillips also has a higher batting average than Young so it would be insane to drop him.

    Is it possible because Kane wasn’t there, and not saving the team or righting the ship as usual, the crutch was gone and the rest had to fight and did step up. Young’s efforts were a breakthrough mentally for him, knowing he had been given kanes posi he had to shine or his career was probably over at least while Kane is around. Only real failure was Blundells batting and keeping. Saving grace for him is it was in India. If they drop him, who else is there?
