I would probably be even less committal than Greg because in more than four decades of living in Thailand, life here is good, has become normal and I no longer compare with someplace else. I am not interested in trying to change the world I live in, just how to navigate the obstacles so I can live a better life. I can't change the weather but I can adapt to it. It won't stop raining because I want it to, so I adapt. I live in Chiang Rai and the pollution levels are off the chart but I adapt my lifestyle during this period. Some people love to make long lists of bad stuff they hate but for me it makes more sense to focus your life on optimizing what you have rather than complaining. Not sure why, but I have always found Thailand easy and I am a little taken aback that some people find it so hard.

Lot's of interesting comments this time Chai. Greg from US nailed it. Thai folk's don't seek opinions from farang, so he doesn't give it. Bad thing's happen everywhere if we look for it. Most of us suck it up, and some of us never leave Thailand.

The Russian chica nailed it imo. The safety you experience in Thailand is bar none. And the visa issues and organization are a basically a shit show. I was fortunate enough to spend lock down there and I never knew if I was better off just throwing my passport in the ocean and becoming a refuge 😅

Problem in every Eouth East Asia countries is rubbish everywhere. The government try to make nation clean but the people still lack of consciousness about cleanliness

Seems like people are scared to be honest. Maybe they are afraid the gov. will kick them out or something. Cuz I can think of tons of ugly things in TH.
Every country has its ugly sides 🙏 we love to focus on the positives things
