We stayed in Bangkok last February and were blown away. Going back next January and plan to stay in That area as it really struck us as amazing, and we've travelled for decades. I'm there in spirit until my body arrives.
Another moment of absolute tearing at my heart mate. I need to get back much sooner than I am planning. I could smell the air and feel the soi under my feet as I watched this. I'll be there soon!
Hotel Royal rooftop is a great spot to watch the sunset. Just walk in and go to the elevator in the back past reception. Good views of Chinatown and the river in the distance l.
Just the video I needed. This week I'm staying directly across from Hua Lamphong for a 6am train. Never really came to Chinatown when I lived in Sukhumvit yonks ago
The joy in her face when you ordered dumplings and steamed buns in thai! Loving the channel, currently watching all your lockdown videos, I was in thailand at the same time so good to see it from someone else's point of view!
Paddy u inspired me to visit Thailand & I went in 2023 LOVED IT Now I love how you've expanded views into deeper Thailand. Ok I'll plan another trip. THANKS PADDY. u r still one of my favorite vloggers
Hi Paddy, I just love your vlogs and dont stop doing them. I will come to Bangkok 24 nov for 3 days and because of you i have so many bars, restaurants etc to visit. Best regards, Nicklas from Sweden
Chinatown was my first experience with Thailand. I stayed in Talat Noi for 2 weeks in a teahouse and been to most of the places in this video including stumbling through the dark zigzagging alley ways at 3am after meeting interesting people at Teens of Thailand with a delicious negroni. Gary Butler The Roaming Cook actually made a video on Talat Noi for my trip. Truly an unforgettable experience.
I'm so glad I stumbled across your channel 🙌 so many little insights, especially the Chinese temple ...it made me laugh when you mentioned the traffic in Chinatown as that was the first place I decided to go on the back of a Grab bike and I was terrified 😅 but a few minutes later and I loved the thrill. Can't wait to be there in 2 days, 19 hours and 41 minutes 🎉 and can't wait to watch more of your vids!
Crazy how yourself and Mark Wiens drop a video around the same time where both go to the same street bao lady and area. Did TAT have anything to do with it…? Either way, good job on another great video!❤🎉😊
I absolutely love this video Paddy. I’ve been following you since lockdown and this is one of your best. Informative, relaxed and entertaining. Thank you 🙏
OK, I'm sold! Been planning our Thailand trip and there's so many options in BKK that I was getting verrrry confused... Since we're staying in the city twice, we will probably pick 2 different locations, and one of them will definitely be Chinatown! Thanks for all the excellent recommendations!!!
I was visiting Hoi Khanh Pagoda at 48 Plaeng Nam Street in the heart of the famous "Chinatown" area of Bangkok, Thailand . The pagoda was built around the time of Kings Taksin and Dhonburi (1768-1782).
The satae and pork with sauce soo good. It is recommended from local too. Next this shop is good noodle. Walk a bit ahead to Wat tri Mit then you will found home made gelato overthan 40 favor. That area really fantastic.
LOVE THE VIDEO PADDY! So glad you’re doing Thailand again ❤️ The hotel looks pretty cool! Food= yummy….We always love it when you collaborate with Gary😊 and thank you for sharing this awesome video 🙏🏼
Been a bit of a critique of recent vids (bit of banter) but this one was.........brilliant, fantastic...knocked out of the park and what us subscribers want to see. More of the same paddy lad
Bangkok, which already looks good, looks even better from this channel's perspective. It was nearly thirty minutes, which felt very short. Watch the whole thing without skipping anything.
Worth mentioning, l think is that the temple you mentioned entering Chinatown , has a 5.5 ton solid gold buddha worth millions.....and a fastenating history.
The golden Buddha is real gold worth around 5,000 million and was build since late Sukhothai period before Ayutthaya around 600+ year old at least. Initially was covered in concrete but when they try to lift to move into the new pagoda the rope breaked and drop the statue down the floor cracked outer layer concrete and revealing the golden concealed. The lover body made from half goldand brass to bear the weight and the upper body was around 75% and the head is purely gold😊
Well displayed vlog of Chinatown mate, in the evening it is packed up there as i remember, we loved stroling around the little aleys and eatin that streetfood at the unknown places where the locals eat, so delicious and authentic friendly thai people. As you mention about that condiments to ad at the noodle dish, the pros of having a Thai lady, she learned me how to put it in the dish and it makes it taste so much better 😋. Loved this episode mate, thanks, and as always, C Ya in the next one almost 250k, cheers 👊🍻
Just visited Yaowarat for my first time 5 weeks ago. Spent 3 days in Talad Noi. Absolutely loved it 👍 Beautiful area. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing you visiting the same spots I did 😁 Nice one Paddy
Wow this vlog has gotten me craving dumplings and noodles! I was in BKK but never made it into Chinatown. I can see that I really missed out! Great vlog!
Yet another brilliant video, just a small request and unless I've missed a reason for this to be omitted, but would love to see the prices added to the videos. No matter what yet another treat for the eyes Paddy....👏👏👏
Thanks Paddy for showing us China Town I’ve been there many times but I need to go back and check out that Gin Bar I’m a huge fan. I’ll definitely be there for one soon . All the food looked delicious. Very entertaining video Paddy .
Lovely compliment from the Dumpling Lady Paddy, you speak Thai very well 👍Awesome video, i love the food, the location and to see you riding Zelda ❣✌i would be excited to spend a day in this coffee shop with the painting place, i studied Art and i love white canvas to be filled with an inspiration, i like the vibes of this crea(c)tive place ! Thanks Paddy🙏Life can be awesome great in Bangkok ! 👍Chinatown is def. a place to go.
I am like you. I see a long line and think "I'm not standing in that". That doesn't mean I won't go to a food stall or whatever, but I will come at an off hour where I don't have to wait in the line
my favoutite place in Bangkok, can you recommend or suggest any other neighbourhoods in Thailand or indeed Asia - that have a similar atmosphere,, smell and general exciting wonderful vibe? thank you!
Yaowarat is the place where is I can called it food paradise of BKK. Every menu of Thai dishes is from there but the tase it's really really Thai flavor.I can tell.
Paddy I absolutely loved this video, my wife wants us to stay in China Town the next time we are in Bangkok (probably early next year), so it is very useful as well. Best Regards Ivan
It's really interesting. Making me hungry ! I wouldn't be able to leave that food to lose heat though . I'd .have to eat it hot and fresh! Been to Bangkok a few times and of course caught the train south but never discovered Chinatown. Thanks Paddy! Great video!
Hi Paddy I want to thank you for inspiring me to follow my travel dreams 🥰 I’m in Chiang Mai right now and will be in Bangkok in the next few days. Any recommendations?
My family and friends think that they need to take me to Chinatown and Khaosan road every time I go to Thailand. Always enjoy it but would mind something slower pace and more local. Thinking about it, I think they like doing something different that going to a night market their homes.
Looking like you have dropped a few pounds! Well done! Love the moment when all the customers helped with street food vendor. Great representitive of Thai culture.
Another place in the Chinatown area for good drinks and tasty nibbles is Rabbit Hill near Wat Mangkon Metro station. Very popular with Thais. Easy to miss the entrance though as it's very much a speakeasy style.

ah thanks haha, looking forward to your return!
I can feel it 👌
I know..... every time I see a video like this, I get "home sick" for Thailand. It is definitely my "happy place".
I was there few months ago. And that was my feeling too.
Yes, there's nowhere in the world like Thailand. Once it's in your system, there's nowhere else that can replace it
That was one of the best videos I’ve seen on Bangkok right up my street loved the look of that gin bar.
thanks!

As always, an absolute pleasure ❤️
You're the best!
OMG!!! The dessert looked amazing. I love it when you and Gary hang out and show us all the wonderful food in Bangkok. Great video
So good!
Another awesome creation from Paddy,,, great technique for spotting the "Q" with only locals and no Instagramers was worth the dumplings,,, aloy mak !
Love,love,love Bangkok china town
Great video mate, pleasure to have joined you for breakfast
I love love love that you put links in your descriptions. Now I can easily find the places you feature the next time I am in Bangkok. Thanks
Any time!

Such a cool, fun, artistic neighbourhood! That bit of market with all the engine parts and the skull motorbike was giving surprise Thai Mad Max vibes!
Loved this Paddy ❤️ Nice surprise seeing your breakfast guests at the end 😊
Another great video, thanks Paddy.
Stayed in Yaoworat when I first came to Thailand years ago. I think if I didn't grow up in India it'd have been a total shock but I loved it haha
Thank you very much promotes street foods thai
I'll be in bkk for the entire month of Feb next year! Chinatown looks amazinggg
Paddy u inspired me to visit Thailand & I went in 2023 LOVED IT Now I love how you've expanded views into deeper Thailand. Ok I'll plan another trip. THANKS PADDY. u r still one of my favorite vloggers
I could miss a second of it. Chain town is my favorite place in Bangkok.
I was lucky to have many Thai friends the first time I went to Thailand! They taught my brother and I all about Thailand and eating Thai food.
Love the videos. This is something I would like to do but starting is the big issue. Thanks for sharing looking forward to more exciting content.
Absolutely wonderful vlog, thanks Paddy. You keep getting better and better.
You’re videos have moved my big maybe meter to likely to come to Thailand in 2 weeks. Thanks!!!

Heading back to BKK this weekend from Australia and this makes me sooooo excited!! Thanks!
Hey Paddy!!! Iced Chocclate is the highlight of the video for me!!! :-) ! Greate company for another great video ! 👍
Crazy how yourself and Mark Wiens drop a video around the same time where both go to the same street bao lady and area. Did TAT have anything to do with it…? Either way, good job on another great video!❤🎉😊
Loved this Paddy, so much character around. The dessert looked amazing and I'm sure it was. Accommodation was excellent.

Definitely a great video. Kudos.
Hi Paddy that was really interesting. Havent wanted to visit Bangkok because a big city, but now I want to. 💞💞
ive watched your videos on and off since you started. your editing skills have gone through the roof!
That dumpling lady on the street is actually Je Jui Salapao on Wheels (Srisomchit) who is pretty famous around there.
Worth mentioning, l think is that the temple you mentioned entering Chinatown , has a 5.5 ton solid gold buddha worth millions.....and a fastenating history.
Only the absolute top part of the head is solid gold. The body is only 40% gold. Still amazing
Only the upper part, on top of the head is pure gold (hair and top) the head itself is 80%
@@Hm-ky3nu yeah something like that, cuz pure gold can't hold weight it seem.
Hi Paddy, its so soothing listening to you..though you are sharing about a busy and chaotic part of bkk. Thumbs up and am enjoying through you 555.
Just arrived with a 60-day visa and a hungry belly ;-) so this video is perfectly timed. I am definitely in the "not joining that long line" camp.
Another great vid PD. Despite the name Chinatown, would you say most of the vendors are still actually Thai???
Vdo ที่ยอดเยี่ยม👍

Just visited Yaowarat for my first time 5 weeks ago. Spent 3 days in Talad Noi. Absolutely loved it 👍 Beautiful area. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing you visiting the same spots I did 😁 Nice one Paddy
Sounds great!😌
Great video nice to know there are areas in Chinatown to get away from the crowds
Q of locals is always a good sign get in line. Some great tips. I like these imursive videos. Good to see the mates.
Thanks 👍
Wow this vlog has gotten me craving dumplings and noodles! I was in BKK but never made it into Chinatown. I can see that I really missed out! Great vlog!

Hello, Paddy.
I just wanted to point out the obvious and let you know how I feel. You are extremely good at what you do, and it's inspiring,
So there.
Love Chinatown Bangkok
Should explore ,China too!.
Wow! Great video! What’s the name of that Pork Satay restaurant pls? Thanks!
I am like you. I see a long line and think "I'm not standing in that". That doesn't mean I won't go to a food stall or whatever, but I will come at an off hour where I don't have to wait in the line
Another reason for queue at food stall is also due to cheap price, just like in Singapore, food maybe is so so, but cheap for locals😊
my favoutite place in Bangkok, can you recommend or suggest any other neighbourhoods in Thailand or indeed Asia - that have a similar atmosphere,, smell and general exciting wonderful vibe? thank you!
The parts are differentials ,they are parts that connect to the axles which in turn ,connects to your wheels
not sure if this is your cup of tea but would be interested to know good veggie thai foods/restauarants?
That's really great!
Yaowarat is the place where is I can called it food paradise of BKK. Every menu of Thai dishes is from there but the tase it's really really Thai flavor.I can tell.
Hi PaddyDoyle, How can I know the name of the food and beverages place you visit or show to your video? I would love to visit .

Paddy I absolutely loved this video, my wife wants us to stay in China Town the next time we are in Bangkok (probably early next year), so it is very useful as well. Best Regards Ivan

Go out skirts of bbk, real authentic food !
Welcome back ZELDA
Yes. I had forgotten all about Zelda as well
It's really interesting. Making me hungry ! I wouldn't be able to leave that food to lose heat though . I'd .have to eat it hot and fresh! Been to Bangkok a few times and of course caught the train south but never discovered Chinatown. Thanks Paddy! Great video!
well I hope you enjoyed it enough to put it on ya bucketlist
Hi Paddy I want to thank you for inspiring me to follow my travel dreams 🥰 I’m in Chiang Mai right now and will be in Bangkok in the next few days. Any recommendations?

My family and friends think that they need to take me to Chinatown and Khaosan road every time I go to Thailand. Always enjoy it but would mind something slower pace and more local.
Thinking about it, I think they like doing something different that going to a night market their homes.
Can’t wait to go back😩
I lived about 20 mins from here when I lived in Bangkok
P.diddy 😂 love the videos. Note v Paddy 2 2024
With Gary, the only option is pork. lol.
😂
Looking like you have dropped a few pounds! Well done! Love the moment when all the customers helped with street food vendor. Great representitive of Thai culture.
Do Huai Khwang next Paddy!
