Oda does an amazing job at writing emotions. From crying more than i wanna admit, to being so hype and excited that i had to get up and walk around the house lol this backstory still makes me tear up every time.. Nami has been through it
It’s not that the town didn’t want to pitch in its that they couldn’t. They only had enough money for themselves. It was easy to pay if they were paying for themselves

@@JustAGuyReacts yeah adults had to pay $100,000 each month so even if each of the townspeople pitched in 10% that would only leave each of them $ 90,000 which wouldn’t be enough. Which was why they tried to get the kids to leave the island. That way they could save the kids and Bellemere could pay the $ 100,000 saving herself
I personally think that sub is better, but just letting you know if you do watch dub, you are going to have to stop and wait for more dubbed episodes to release, because right now the dub is behind on around 50 episodes.
The march to Arlong Park is absolute peak One Piece, especially following Nami finally asking Luffy for help.

OP original voice actors are incredibly talented. No other dub can match them.
Please do not watch the dub version. The subtitle version comes off cleaner and more blunt. Enjoy the journey, can't wait to see you reactions

The original VA is way better. The feels is insane unlike this one.
