Timing looks much better this time around :) although you saying "Maximus has a crush" and then cutting to Maximus and Thadeus faces inches apart was hilarious lol

Haha I actually think that's my favorite aspect of any of the different factions. Gives them a more grounded feel for some reason

So i think the joke about the deviled eggs (and other pre war foods) is that they just have so many preservatives in them that they are still 'edible' 219 years later lol

actually in all "past" scenes it's not 50-s it's ~2077 - it's alternative reality where earth is kinda stuck in 50-s style and technologies were developed differently.

That's interesting! It definitely makes for a unique setting!

The aesthetic of Fallout is "retro-fututism", also known as "atompunk". It's basically what people in the 50s and 60s thought the future would look like. They could imagine robots and nuclear-powered cars, but not many would've thought of flatscreen TVs. Racism was overcome (mostly) but "kill the commies" culture remained strong. 50s/60s decor, style and music stayed in fashion for decades and decades.
The pre-war scenes are actually set in in the mid-2070s (the nuclear exchange in ep.1 took place in late October of 2077, so the flashbacks are set in the weeks/months leading up to that).
