This is a beautiful documentary. Brilliantly executed-- very sharp, sophisticated and also natural. Really loved it. I have always believed we can't be fulfilled with too much choice, frivilous wealth in the same spaces as desperation and poverty, nothing to strive for because no end goal is ever enough...nothing is ever enough. The reason people are so hungry for the past and so nostalgic is because there was structure and purpose and true excitement. Nothing is new anymore because it's only new for 5 seconds. There is no certainty, no solid ground in almost any aspect of our lives. If we can't agree with what a woman is, it is pretty obvious we are doomed...just doomed. We keep looking for bright spots or our little individual moments of happiness and freedom and those small comforts seem to be what we live for. Imagine that what you spend the majority of your time doing is your God. The picture starts to really take shape then.
